2. The cleric accidentally PK someone
3. The cleric name color change, which is enable item drop when receive PK
4. Someone PK the cleric
5. The boots from Kasira dropped and the player killer take it
6. Kasira goes mad
7. Kasira demand PWE give her boots back because it's immoral
8. Kasira explain that was her rights, she earn the boots with her own cash, it's her friend that made it lost

Your friend accidently went pink, then another person came, killed your friend and dropped items that belonged to you. If you read the PK rules you would already see that pink=chance of dropping items, so technically the person who took "your boots" isn't in the wrong, he/she is just following the rules, he/she killed your friend (who was pink) who dropped items. Those items are now his/hers, sounds bad but there u go. Next time look at what others posted here, and follow those (also why didn't u kill that psy and try to get them back, theres a chance they could of dropped unless they took precaution). It's perfectally "legal" for this to happen. And also you don't even "own" your character/items, PWI does.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Kasira - Harshlands wrote: »And FYI, I never PK either. I hate Pker's, never done it, never will.
Anyway, like a lot of people already said, PWE already owns everything in the game, so it's not like you can sue them for something that's already theirs. It sucks that what was virtually "yours" ingame is lost, especially when it was accidental that your friend turned pink then got killed afterwards...but it was your choice that you let your friend use your item. And being on a PvP server...well, you should have known the risks that was stringed along.
I can only give suggestions to either a) ask the PKer to kindly return the item if they still have it...but don't bother harassing them for it because then, they can turn you in for well...harassment; b) PK them back and hope they drop the item or something of equal or greater value to sell back; c) ask your friend to get a replacement; or d) get it yourself again.
o.o Let it be a lesson to you both...
For you, be cautious of who you lend your items to. Ask yourself questions: if they PK, will they keep my item safe? do they use safety lock or use GSs? if they lose it, are they willing to replace it asap? etc.
For your friend, hopefully they learn to be careful next time...mistakes happen and all we can really do is learn from them and move on.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
inbe4 legal
1. read ToS
2. pixels aren't "real"
3. pwi gave us pve servers, pvp protection, safety lock, guardian scrolls...how can anyone still qq about droping?
4. everything in pwi is owned by pwi and all you can get is the ability to use it... if they decide to shutdown the server guess what happens to your precious items? your money is gone!

It's perfectly legal since you don't own any single thing in perfect world under the law. I'm pretty sure its under terms of service that any gold you buy is property of perfect world entertainment and you are just using it.
Thats why its also perfectly legal that perfect world can shut down their game at any given moment and they are not obliged to pay back the gamers for all the money they have spent.
Next time tell your friend to carry dolls or safety lock.
Edit: damn people beat me to it0 -

Kasira - Harshlands wrote: »You can't play the game with safety lock on, you ought to know that. And having lost wings that you paid cash for... why aren't you complaining? Being a sycophant to get the GM's onside isn't going to get things changed for the better. Why accept flaws and unacceptable features when you have a forum here to vent your feelings? Nothing is going to change for the better so long as so people keep a stiff upper lip and accept the unacceptable.
Now I paid cash for my gold, sold the gold and bought those boots. Basically, I used my cash to get those boots. For PWI to then decide to take those boots away without my prior consent is both immoral and probably illegal. It's as simple as that! Would you be so accepting if you bought some chocolate, slipped it in your bag only for a shop assistant to take it out and feed it to her friend? No you'd be livid like I am. Or would you go onto the sweet shops forum and defend it? I dont think so.
LOL! Oh man this is hilarious. Thanks OP, I haven't laughed this hard in ages.
Wait. Oh god, you're actually serious aren't you? b:shockedYou have three chances to guess the reason for the post above.0 -
Okay. I'm sorry that you lost your gear. But to be honest, if your cleric friend went pink, and then stood there going "Oh boy, I hope nobody kills me while I stand here in my vulnerable arcane armor at level 78, waiting to be oneshot by any passers-by" and then was killed, I wouldn't be blaming PWE, I'd be blaming your cleric buddy. I suggest you buy some chocolate, a bottle of pop, and enjoy some endorphins.
Please don't try to throw legal terms at people within this thread. If you intend to spend hard-earned money on this game, then it should not be difficult to spend fifty cents in order to bind the gear you buy to your character. If you choose not to, then you accept that your gear is vulnerable. What happened to your friend was an unfortunate accident, but you cannot blame PWE for it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
"I always thought I'd be the only one doing crazy things for people who would never care enough to do it back or to act like idiots or be entirely vulnerable, and making someone fall in love with you is easy, and flying 3000 miles on four days notice because you can't just sit there and do nothing and breathe into telephones is not everyone's idea of love, but it is the way I can recognize it because that is what I do."

No, I didn't oracle my way to 100. I worked damn hard for a year and spent a fortune in the process. Don't be so bloody condescending. And this thread was never about safety locks and other safeguards in the first place. You deliberately missed my point and made it about something else entirely.

Hey don't be yelling at us; I would send that negative energy to your idiotic friend who thought she wouldn't get attacked on Harshlands in South Outskirts of Archosaur. Seriously. I don't really PvP on that server either, but I know better than to stand around with a pink name without SL there. And why the hell would she need to tempest a level 2x mob anyway? To show off? But that's besides the point, she should have put protections on if there were other people around and it was her fault for being stupid and not going to a SZ in time. Start bugging her for new boots and stop trying to justify that it's unethical. It's a game b:bye[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Your friend was red from pking someone, they didn't have any safeguard on to protect their or your stuff and when they got PKed they lost your stuff. Because that is her fault for going into pk mode. Did your sister ever bother reading the tOS and understanding that all items are PWE's property and that you only buy the rights to use them in game? So they're not held reliable for your sister's poor judgment.

You loan it to a friend.
Through a freak accident, the TV is stolen from their truck.
Therefore, freak accidents are unethical.

You like to use proper grammar and "mature" language to sound smart, but I'll write you a few simple truths in simple sentences, you should comprehend them:
1. Read Terms of Service of games you play
2. Nothing you buy or get in-game will ever actually belong to you
3. Don't borrow money or items
4. It's F2P game, no one forces you to spend a dime
5. If you are incomfortable with PvP, play on PvE server (I suggest Dreamweaver)
6. If you post on this forums remember one fact: if you start stupid thread you will get stupid responses
7. Talking about morality in RPG is pathetic. RPG stands for role-playing game. If I choose to play a role of cold-blood killer I am allowed to do so. Does it mean I am a cold-blood killer in real life as well? Obviously, no.
Have a good day.Packs World International0 -

And we are debating the thread. Hell several people even quoted the Terms of Service saying that it's not Perfect World Entertainment's fault that your friend is an idiot and didn't know about the several safeguards that prevent you from dropping in the game. Your friend chose not to use them. It also says that just because you buy items through gold doesn't mean you own them, PWE just gives you the rights to use them, they're technically not your's, neither does your character actually belong to you. They let you borrow it.
The point is, the Terms of Service is a legally binding contract that you must read before you even sign up. You created a character by agreeing to the terms of service especially when it states that perfect world entertainment is not held responsible for whatever happens between two players.
