What pet do you use for the heck of it? I use my Kowlin as a debuffer or my Ninetailed Firefox as a puller in BHs. I've actually been looking forward to level up a Snow Hare but I saw a lv. 75 one in AH for 10k and I snagged it. I just had to. But I don't know yet if I want to use it.

Pet name discussion? What's the name of your pet? What do you use it for?

I really want a Nivastok Shieldbearer or a Glacial Seed. b:surrender

Since the new expansion is coming up, what are you hoping or anticipating?

    Glacial Walker takes its head off too. I used to use a petali hexkiss for the heck of it, but i guess now that goes to my ninetails or catopod. Maybe i should get a rhino out of eden for the laughs.

    Oi. In dungeons, I'd usually end up using my cactus just so I didn't have to bring it out every single time I wanted to lure.

    As for names, since my veno was named Charybdis, I went with all names from 'The Odyssey'.

    I had a Snowhare on my first veno that i used to goof around with. I also tried an Icewave Siren for a while as an ornamental pet...

    I use the Nato phonetic alphabet to name pets (most have been experimental however) and currently have got Bravo (Tabby) and Echo (Shaodu Cub). If i ever get a Nix i'll name it Foxtrot and think i'll use Sierra for my final water pet.

    And that's actually a pretty cool name for your firefox Zoe. b:victory

    Edit; I also think your classical theme is kind of cool Eoria, but why would you name something as ugly as a maggie Calypso?

    Well, here are the pets i pull out from time to time....

    ninetails: Used for grinding when i don't feel like using herc and for show in town cause i think it's pretty. also pull it out on one boss in fcc (after exp room) just because i dont HAVE to use my herc on that boss, since barb is tanking.

    Catopod from eden: used for luring and for heads in Fcc (kinda acts as my bow, lol) ive also used it on a world boss for DDing since it stayed out of aoe range.

    snowhare: No purpose really, it's stayed at lvl 67 forever. Usually pull it out so i can have something named "Hoppy" following me.

    SirBogle - Dark Wanderer (my main dps Pet)
    Pebbles - Glacial Walker (i swear he behaves..less intelligent...then the others)
    Soups - Eldergoth Sharpshooter (pulling, stuff i need a ranged one for)

    When I play Monopoly, I like to put hotels on the Mediterranean and Baltic Avenues while leaving my Boardwalk and Park Place undeveloped. It's oodles of fun.b:victory

    Actually, that's what you should do if you know anything about Monopoly. That game is all about cashflow, and developing the more expensive properties first is a noobish mistake... Just goes to show you can't even keep your own word, we all wish you could stop boasting about your failness...

    I've been leveling up a scorpion for regular dd'ing usage but I still can't seem to part with my froggy. xD As for pet names, I got baked one night and got the bright idea to name my pets after cheeses.

    Glacial Walker - PeppaJak
    Frog- Gouda
    Varicose Scorpion- Asiago
    Infernal Eidolon- Cheddar

    ...but my shadou cubs name is Klondike...ran outta cheese names. xD

    Interesting how tweakz and mystimonk can't understand quite simple written text and just repeat and repeat their bs about herc in every thread about venomancer pets... It was funny from the beginning to see that there are some people even more stupid than me but it is getting quite boring now.

    I use the scorpy most of time because it can dance and makes funny sounds.... And i called it Naruto. Just because... Well, my veno is too low to use the firefox :(

    My BF bought me an armoured bear so that's what I use until I get the herc. I had a snow hare which I used to take out in towns just for show.

    In names I tend to be quite literal. Crystaline magmite named Chris. Glacial walker named Gary. Bear is called Amy. Shaodu called Shadow and windwalking piggy called Porketta. The herc shall be Harry!

    Even though i have a herc and use that the most but honestly dont -mean- to boast about it either.
    Cause up to the point where i could finally get it i still have every pet i used till that day.

    A Darkwanderer - used to be my tank up until i was 50 and then got my next in line
    A shikou Valorian - Used to be my tank up to the point i got
    An Armoured bear ( Lixue ) - Tank and just because i -wanted- it, it looks like the bear from the golden compass !
    A Kowlin ( Kafira ) - because i was told this was -THE- luring pet, -.- i pulled with my valorian or DW and caught it with the bear. still is in there cause he looks amazing and can actually keep up with me XD
    Asgard plumpfish - cause i needed a waterpet and this one just looks epic.
    Ninetailed firefox - I caught it because i could, and cause it always seems to smile XD Plus it's a nice lurer for when i'm bored seeing my other pets do it.
    White pheasant - cause i needed an air pet and i liked this one cause it was big <_<

    I still have several pets in my bank as an egg and often enough just switch them around.
    i had to post when i saw OP's big fonted words, cause i agree what she said next.
    Just because i now got a herc i never ever could get rid of the all the pets i have.
    Simply cause they helped me get to the point where i am now.
    and even though their just pixels, their MY pets <,<...>.> and i got attached to them.

    I often enough also just try and tank stuff for the heck of it with other pets instead of the herc, just to see of my little critter can pull it off XD

    Current Pets on Desdi
    Atlas - Baby Hercules, I use him for tanking obviously and for grinding when I want to do crazy AoE
    Deva - Kowlin, I use her for luring, debuffing and in low level BH/FB because it's fast and can reach/save the squishy players faster/easier. I maxed its Flesh Ream, Howl, working on Pierce (due to my Demon Ironwood) and lvl 4 Threaten. I'm going to max them one of these days.
    Dodo - Shaodu Cub, my previous loyal tank which I have kept because there are so many memories attached to it. I keep it as a back-up tank if something goes wrong. Sometimes a Cub with Tough & Roar will save the squad instead of Revive Pet-Get Hercules-Buff Hercules-Heal Hercules-Hope Hercules grabs aggro. Taught it Bash & Roar and I maxed all the skills. I still use it sometimes because of Pounce. I also use him when I want a more dangerous AoE (sometimes Herc makes it too easy).
    Alopix - Ninetail Firefox, for the heck of it. It's cute and pretty. I tend to use it in low level BH/FB as well and against Metal mobs because it has Fireball.
    Sushi - Celestial Plumpfish, for water mobs & bosses
    Cupcake - Windwalking Piggy, for air mobs & bosses. Before acquiring the Shaodu Cub it was used as main tank. Sadly It's level 81 now...needs some leveling...I still love it a lot! It took so many nights to tame this lil' cutie.

    Midnight - Kowling, I just wanted it for her. Devayen is the one tanking so I pretty much use it for debuffs though I haven't played with Devayen for a while so I haven't invested in her pets at all.
    Scarlet - Petite Sawfly, for air mobs mostly

    Sedo - Heartless Wolf, which I used until level ~30
    Chisana - Antelope Pup, which I used until level ~50
    Puff - Snow Hare, which I used until level 50 or so because it was freaking cute! I still have it in bank (pet bag slot issue)
    Sunday - Neolithic Wolf, this was one of my most loved pets. It was a funny thing that my friends and I had started. A friend had tamed one and named it Friday. I tamed one too for the heck of it and named it Sunday. Then some faction mates tamed their own and named them Wednesday, Saturday, Thusday. I stopped using it at lvl 78 and I still have it in bank.
    Meimei - Tabby Plumpdrop, which I had on Desdi. I passed it to Devayen but I replaced it with Kowlin.
    Atto - Armored Bear, a gift from my best friend. I used it sometimes on hard bosses because of the Tough & Threaten Combination. I gave it away when I bought Atlas however because I already had the Cub as a back-up.

    ok my pets are

    Prince : my froggie , he does excellent job at tanking and people find him extra cute , he is evil though so beware

    Umbra : My wanderer , excellent DD , and he just looks cool

    Porkchop : my Windwalking Piggy , he tanks like a truck , needs lvling though

    Muffin : My Guardian Wolf , it's metal luring wolf , he is just the coolest canine i have seen

    Arnold (in bank cause of closed pet slot) : Molten Ant Soldier , a gift from a very good friend , he has nice defences and his attack is good , an overall good pet (makes funny noises lol)

    I want to get an armored bear ( ill call it Snowdrop) , a plumpfish (Plumpy)

    yes i do not plan to get herc lol .........

    Hea tweakz. You do have a lot of knowledge of what pets are good for what and so. But really ^^ some people don't really care and just wanna have fun and look at pets they like running over the screen. No need to flame them for being different I gues...

    trying to lvl a sawfly. But gave up. I don't really use any airpets. so I tame stuff near my lvl now... :x

    Fun thread! Me has:

    Shangry (thanks to the lovely Ardara for that name ^_^) - Shaudo cub. Got this little fellow when I was level 20, thanks to a kind friend taming him for me. This was the first pet I got that I really stuck to leveling up (had a scorp and a bunny before that, but they're both egged and in the bank now).

    Death - Dark Wanderer. I initially used a Seamonster Guardian as my DDer to be a little different, but eventually had to admit the Wanderer just looks so cool. :D Plus its awesome having a pet following me around saying "Bambi's Death." ;)

    Cassie - Cuddly Pup. Got this little gal just yesterday, and named her after a Golden Retriever I had for several years and loved dearly. :)

    Cloud Skatefish - I haven't named this one, obviously... Its a beautiful pet and I love how it handles, but for some reason I don't really like leveling air pets that much. :P Ima have to take it to the worms by City of Raging Tides and catch it up to me sometime.
