    Just wanted to say a big thank you to Mango for helping out in many ways during my stay in PWi.
    Don't listen to the haters, let them lead a guild and see what its like =) .
    I hope to see you in FW and have a chance to join your guild if you ever make one.

    btw imo PW killed the game when they took away TW pay, but its just one of the many reasons I left...

    Well, I think you should know more then most that when everyone is in the state of mind they are right now that those one or two snide remarks just continues to generate drama. Especially coming from somone like you who in the past was respected for demonstrating maturity and (most the time) unbiased reasoning. I believe you just told me a few days ago that everyone just needed to calm down, stop pointing fingers, let everything die down and get back to playing the game? From all the pm's I'm getting everyday that sure doesn't seem to be happening. So yeah, it was nice to have a repreive here in the forums and just throw some fun banter around for once. No worries, I'm sure the drama will start back up again soon.

    Whatever all this 'drama' is/was, who really cares people are flocking to Narla still. I wonder how all the offshoot guilds recruitment is going?????
    Most people don't GIVE A **** about the 'drama' they just want to get onto what they are doing and play the game. It seems the most drama is from all the 'pros' and 'vet's', guess what, some of us just like playing the game. Maybe the 'pros' and 'vets' should think about this.

    Anyway, for Mango and all those that left Narla because of any of this.....

    Jesus, Blood, digress much? Anyway, I'll retort because there's absolutely nothing else going on in these forums at the moment:

    First, Batini's entire post was not in reaction to any "Narla vs. Elusive or Other Previous Existing Faction" drama or an interpretation of the last few months of the server. Batini's post was in reaction to Narla's near end and current status. How can I assume this? Because it's the title of the thread and hence supposed to be the topic of discussion.

    So, in view of the actual topic, let me clarify those confusing points for you.

    Again: not about the last two months. Batini's post is about the last two weeks. Yes, Mango's OP (taken from the Narla forum) was in some ways backing the members of Narla into a corner. He made the decision to end the entire faction without consulting the members, and now those members are choosing to fight back.

    I don't know if you've heard, but Narla has recently experienced a rather large upset that puts their dominance in question. Oh, but you must have heard about it because it is the theme of the thread. Narla has a new battle, and it ain't Elusive. Batini's apropos wartime quotes are intended for those arising factions and for those who believe Narla is dead.

    I say kudos to Narla for rising to the challenge! You have experienced some very heavy blows, and you're still fighting. I'm very proud, and I wish you all the best of luck.

    Had Mango in fact disbanded Narla, and those members stayed together, started a new faction, competed in TW, etc. etc. etc., then I would say you are correct. But what you describe didn't happen. All that happened is that certain members stayed on to cling to the land they had for as long as they could hold it.

    Fight back? They didn't fight anyone. They held on to their dominant position out of cowardace. Thats not nobel. Its not even noteworthy. Its pathetic.

    In a previous deleted thread I was opposed to Narla picking a favorite, Phoenix" out of all the other factions and allowing them to safely transfer Impulse's lands to them. Yes, I was opposed to that. Yes, that does not foster competition in TW.

    Ask cultblood, immunity, genesis or any of the others who might have wanted to bid on those territories whether the little scheme promoted TW competition, or was merely 2 powerful factions keeping the little guy down.

    Only a fool would think an agreement not to attack land is competing. Elusive is here. Narla can attack them if they want competitive fun. The fact that they haven't now that they know they can't win speaks for itself.

    A. By providing no competitive TW on the server? Yes, they did. If you wanted to win lands in TW, you had to go to Narla. If you wanted more than 20 minutes of TW a week, you couldn't even get that in Narla. Once Narla got to the point that it could roll 3 factions simultaneously, the faction should have split. Many of us said that when we got here that if the server got to the point it was on sanctuary, we would leave and start a competing faction. Noone in Narla did it.

    I ironically was the one that DIDN'T say that. Odd that I was one of the first to leave.

    B. And although I was not referring to targeting individual players at all (I don't know how a faction can target individual players), there are certainly those within Narla (some allegedly in the officers' ranks) that did just that, and in the sneakiest of ways. Ask Caocao and Proski if Narla ever targeted individual players.

    C. As for me being "slighted", people within Narla have admitted openly that it was not just my imagination. And I suspect you, of all people, if you are honest with yourself, know first hand about a good bit of that.

    Again, to say "the large upset" experienced by Narla that "puts their dominance in question" involves a battle that "ain't Elusive" is laughable. The upset WAS the defeat by Elusive. First the successful defense against Narla (and near victory) since the old Impulse, and then the first and only time Narla had its crystal fall.

    Didn't Narla defeat 3 or 4 factions in TW this past week? I hardly think anything need be said to those "arising" factions. Apropos wartime quotes? Chuchhill wasn't being attacked by Iceland and Denmark.

    And to say they are rising to the challenge, again, is comical. Elusive is the challenge, and they have done nothing but crumble under and run from it. Kudos, indeed.

    Bloodmisery(Guts) - It would be easy just to write a page of 'QQQQQQQQ etc, ad finitum' but I won't.

    Your 'Narla didn't promote server TW's etc' - Please visit the other servers and tell me where the TW competition is on any of them and btw, I am pretty sure that when TW rules changed earlier this year there was some serious discussion between guild leaders on how to have TW's each week, I succintly remember it being talked about in Narla on how it could be promoted...anyone, please step in here and tell me if I am wrong. (I have the ability to accept it without crying too much about it btw)

    Narla never gave up btw Bloodmisery(guts) if Narla 'gave up' they wouldn't be around now, would they?

    Easy. Sanctuary. I've had 3 hour TWs there every week since leaving Narla. And I have 5 there this weekend, at least 3 of which should be well over 1 hour.

    See there, when the TW rules changed, lots of people left the game, but the dominant faction also had many members split apart and form or join rival factions. They realized that dominating the map was more of an empty goal than ever. And guess what, there is ALOT more competitive TW on that server than here.

    If only Narla would have done likewise, but no. We just trudged along, week after week of 20 minute TWs, all to turn the map one color, which is precisely what many of us said we didn't want to do when coming here. And you all would be doing it still were it not for Elusive.

    Your wrong. Most of that was dealing with the blind bids. With no TW pay, and not knowing what territory people were bidding on, there was concern that noone would bid for fear of losing their bid and not getting to TW. What it was NOT (or at least what is was NOT portrayed to be), was agreeing with Impulse that we would allow Impulse to maintain a skeleton crew to defend the "lesser" factions until all Impulse land was safely in the hands of Phoenix.

    Being as I don't want to open up that can of worms again, I will say that there is some dispute as to whether that was relayed properly or not. Whether what was written accurately reflected what had occurred. But that was indeed what was written, and the initial response was not that the story was miscommunicated or inartfully worded, but basically that Elusive deserved to be plotted against for player stealing, etc, etc, etc. and that it was Elusive's own fault because we were so stupid to get "stuck the Northwest corner of the map", or some such nonsense.

    Actually, they did. They haven't attacked Elusive since they knew they couldn't win. They attack weaker factions to take over a map that can't defend itself rather than compete against a rival. They gave up trying to beat Elusive. They certainly did.

    Blood, you sound like a curmudgeony old man who can't accept that there is anything else going on on the server other than what happens in his own little corner.

    Well here's the truth: until Proski gets unbanned, Elusive is a nonfactor. The current threats to Narla are Nemesis, Darkside, and Phoenix.

    Want to TW on this server? Join one of those factions. Oh, that's right, you just spent the last few weeks trashing the current members of Nemesis and Darkside. Well that narrows it.

    Delusional indeed. Here's delusional: thinking you can bully Narla into attacking you through wall-of-text name calling and trolling.
