    On our server there are not many casting/DD classes that shard for defense levels. I would also argue that using +10vit stones on an arcane class is a waste.

    But yeah, if you think about it, hit points are like the skeleton of the player. Defense and p.def are a nice support to this skeleton, but without the proper skeleton to add to, they are fairly ineffective. Weird metaphorrrr, sounds nicer in my head, but meh *_*

    In some ways it is a waste. For arcane you always want to take into account Phys resist. Not only that, the +115HP (I think) from the citrine gems give more HP on casters than +10 vit stones. The point is, they are both better than +2 DL stones.

    Keep in mind that Vit stones add *both* HP and defense, its about 1% more equipment defense per stone.

    ast, i have 6.4k hp unbuff and 8.2k hp buff, 2.6k pdef 26 defense lvl, go calculate for me if it's worthwhile ^^

    Current effective health = 6400/(1+(30-26)/100)*(4000+2600)/4000 = 10154

    Add one more Def+2
    Effective health = 6400/(1+(30-28)/100)*(4000+2600)/4000 = 10352
    1.94% more survivability

    I think venos get like 12 hp per vit?
    Add one more Vit stone
    Effective health = 6520/(1+(30-26)/100)*(4000+2626)/4000 = 10384
    2.27% more survivability

    Vit is better for you at this point.

    Just wondering is this a formula measuring physical survivability only? If it is how can I find the correct magic survivability formula?
    I hope I was looking at it right is your formula like this below and I can just fill in the needed info?

    My health/(1+(attack lvl of attacker - my defense lvl)/100)*(4000+ my physical defense)/4000 = survivability number

    I tried this with 8965 physical defense, 32 defense lvl, 9077 hp and ended up with like 300k+ number so I am thrown off as to if I followed it right or not.

    9077/(1+(30-32)/100)*(4000+8965)/4000 = 367760.328125. I get the feeling like I did it wrong.

    Well that is just taking the HP and adjusting for defense / attack level and factoring in the defense reduction. You're doing math wrong.. try copy/ pasting that into google...

    1+(A-D)/100 is not quite valid for values where D > A.

    The value of 4000 is actually (40 * attacker level) where I assumed a lvl 100 attacker.

    Hmm good question, I don't base my best list on who does what dmg etc.

    I base best over who knows there class so completely that there is no room for error, and for me that makes you #1. To a certain extent it also goes to how they carry themeselves, so say even if a person has like full nirvana +12 everything, that don't fly with me.

    I look to see professional quality and consistency, and I have seen many of the greats in action before but your definately up there with pro's like Minimus and Linchen.

    If someone has that type of gear, it doesn't mean they carry themselves wrong. Just means they bought it, worked for it, etc. Someone with that nice of gear could actually be very nice and one of the few people not egotistic in this game. Or just the opposite.

    Hence why if you look back at my original post you will see this is my opinion, and this was the reply to eat. In general I found most ppl with insane refines has ego's to match, I in no way, shape or form said they couldn't be nice people, celestelia (cleric) is absolutely lovely and Minimus is a great guy as just two examples and at the end of the day this doesn't factor into the original question. If a person is willing to actually farm / work for gear & refines fair enough, too many I seen though simply got out a credit card.

    Deceptistar unfortunately makes the best point of all, restricted choices cos so many left. A shame but pwi brought this on themselves.

    BTW how come Sky Sandy is mentioned twice in the Wizard Level rankings for sanctuary? Has anyone else noticed that the listings are still riddled with errors?

    When you created the account is what determines all the ranking for level.

    For instance, Skuttlebut created his wizard rather early on. He didn't make his barb until later. Now that his barb is also 102 they appear right after each other on the general level-ranking. Doesn't matter if he made his barb last month or 2 years ago, just how they rank it. Age of the account :o

    As far as the pvp scores go I think they are just slow to update from profile to leaderboard, kinda confusing tho when leaderboard has say 100 more kills than the profile shows. Anyhow sry for going off topic.

    Oh that is interesting. I don't bother to look because level rankings are dumb. And PvP rankings are just as lulzy.

    PvP scores differ a bit from the PWE profiles last I checked. Too indifferent now though lol.

    No surprises really, PWI is full of glitches and bugs xD I believe a post was made a while back about the rankings showing a veno who wasn't classed as a veno xD
