Old School players vs New School players

been checking out on the forum and i see people speak 2 different languages..

Old school people speaking about ' Back in Old days"
and New School people speaking different language..

As for me, I started playing ( for about 2 years totoal time) since MY server . and moved to Sanctuary, and to LC and then to HL...Ive got 95 EP on LC server , .. 95 EA ( since after 4 hours HL went online, quitted 7 months ago, 87 EP, 75 WB ,and 74 new class , SIN on HL ..... Don't give me wrong... in back of my mind, i always feel like looking down on the new school players. Because back in old days, there were no BH, FC, Oracles, Hypers, or even GV... In order to get to 90+, u have to grind ur butt off..took me quite a while to hit my EP to 95.... and EA

When i see a lot of 90+ now a day in game who dont know what they doing, it hurt my feeling... I see them as taking a easy road to become 90+ , aka, they dont deserve to be 90+ caz the way they play their class.. Ive heard so many stupid things saying from those 90+ ( even 100+ now a day), so called high lvl, in FC, BH so on....

In HL, Ive known a lot of people who are old schools who play their class right.. e.g Icon ( quitted already), KISSES ( veno, quitted), Nurfed ( still active ), Faildom ( still active, Nova_ ( Active ), Ascii ( left for that new Pve Server ), AnitHero ( quitted i think ), Escrober ( quitted I think), Blizey ( quitted, I think ) , Acrelar ( active ), Xulin ( active I think), MD ( quited i think) , Endless_Life ( quiited i think ), Ligeia ( active, except pve to 100+ ( whatever excuse) and went sage with Vit build... ) and other those i forgot to mention... are true old school players. They actually played their class and earn their rep, unlike new school who just have to use their daddy's credit cards to buy packs to gain Oracles and gears and act like they are OP as hell...... They never know about fighting and controlling for the Grinding Spot with endless hours of Miji grinding..

I do not mean to put down on those new school players who use daddy's CC and oracles to where u are now.. we all know money can buy everything...
But that doesnt mean u all have to put ur Egos up and act like u all are all this and that... I would say Because of u guys CSing, we all still enjoying PWI as F2P.. ( u guys know PWE stock went up a bit since anni packs and New Serversssssssssssss Came out..? )... Ive seen EA lvl from 30 to 87 in less than 2 weeks with oracles, who stil has G8 accuracy shards in HH80 gold Bow..? .. everytime i see person like that.. I just wanna thank him for making PWI P2F for rest of Us...

so.. now.... all ur Legit New School players or those who buy ur way to where u are now to Feed the flame on....

    i miss the good old days, bloody 8 hours fishing to ding once, in the race to get to 90 first. Mass crash partys coming, massive fights over the ancient wall. id give anything for the game to be like it was.

    New gen players are level 89 EP's that let a party wipe in FB59 while they sit and meditate; of course the EP dies int he end too. Sorry if I believe these new idiots, who hardly know how to PvE, should be forced to prove themselves first.

    gv has always existed, u people didnt know it existed. did it on lc before .
    and fish time was the best. party grinds, pk war.. so it was pve and pvp at the same place. defending the grinding spot.. that was good time.

    I think its not really the new generations fault they are so bad. They are spoon fed everything and have everything available for purchase if they choose. Whereas, first gen had to level out of safe b:shocked, and fight for things. The addition of eased leveling has just killed the essence of PvP servers IMO. All PvP happens in the same spots ,Which is fine sometimes, i love pvp wherever it is, but i do miss the spontaneity that made us 1st gen players learn to play our classes well (IE, random mass PvP at grinding spots).

    In the end does it matter tho? Nah. Do what most did and quit. Or do like me and just logon sometimes to RPK and LOL @ All the newage people who cant kill you 6 v 1 cuz their BMs dont know what stun lock is, their archers are air to grounding and their EPs heal you. b:laugh

    17 LastStand v 6 Rule34 @ Anglers was one of my favs. I also have an old PvP video of 7 Rule34 v a half a dozen guilds and random people, ending with them all in SZ but us. TheRealm, Eminence, CareBears and some random guild were the ones we were fighting, lol.

    Ligeia should remember that one well, he stole all my god damn kills.

    Yes, it is highly annoying to run into people who have no clue how to play the game itself, let alone their class. The handful of good players who are still around, tend to stay in their own little groups because it doesn't pay to squad with anyone you don't know. Every time I squad with someone outside my own faction for bh or whatnot, I end up disappointed (best-case scenario). People ask me why I don't recruit for my faction; who is there to recruit? I've played the game since November '08, and I still enjoy it with my friends, but many aspects of it just sadden me now. It seems that GMs are allowing greed to cloud their management of the game content. Sure, they are still making money, and I ain't hating on them for that. Just seems like one would wish to better preserve their source of income.

    what is funny is that a new gen guy lvl100 asked me how i make money.. i told him i run hh everyday and i was shocked he didnt know that hh = tt
    well many of us who were in lc or sanctuary came from MY so HH is a common name. i was like wdf u are 100 and u dont know that hh is tt?
    then those herc venos asking how to run 2-2 at lvl 100.. seriously WDF. so many lvl100 doesnt know what fishes and undines are. bms dont know abt spiders and ants. wddddddddddddfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
    was near dreamwever port last night. no one at butters and wolf
    pwi is killing pvp. we old school look like idiots lvling our asses off to be on the top.. now who is on top50? there should be top1000 now because everyone goes to 100 101 easily.

U know, i know and most of people know that u never existed untl u hit 90+ from PvE ( which might include Oracle too, u might say no but we all know the out come ) , ...so plz dont act like u are one of the old school. plz.. ahahaha ( this aint troll tho, this is fact)

    oh yea about R34.. u guys were badd ****... i say the 1st organize pk squard on HL...and Ohh i miss Fsweet... too bad, he got grounded...... and never saw him again...

    what you yaking about girl! dark is a old school lol, i remember fighting him in my early 50's, reason you proberly never heard of him is becouse kylin never made a fuss back in the day, they just stood there and let the other guilds fight it out.

    Who the hell are u mr troll? i was in every pk war kylin was in. basically npc gears till 7x with LA mold. i started pking at lvl5x lawl, fighting sometimes people too high lvl for me to handle, like GodsFear who was 8x when i was 6x. fighting sin faction since lvl4x-5x. fighting LS in swamps at 6-7x, QQme and crimson at 7-8x. and kd lvl96-till now. if u dont know me its maybe because u spend too much time on the forums. i used 3-5oracles and 2 of them was from quest and i hypered 12% from 100-101.b:bye

    my faction is composed of many pve people but back in time we used to be active in pk against our kos, many of those people quit now. but those who were in sin remember me well, e.g killer_khan, etc im not the type to stand and watch pk, never been, and i do remember pk fights at anglers where ascii and me were fighting killer_khan, incredible, shelloveya and trickster. good times

    I guess I can be consideres "old school". Playing since first day of HL, and the reason i quit for 10 months is beacuse of the repeated grinding all day. If I had to id do it now, but there are much easier methods of levelling.

    I rerolled 3 times trying to figure out which class I liked most lol. Still I think I would reroll a cleric but never did -.- . I also think that PvP server is useless right now because about 80% or more of the game content is done in sz. Back in the days, those who played on PvP servers usually became better at PvP than those who played in PvE servers, but now its totally different. Because you can play in PvP servers and barely PvP, thus become just as bad/good as some1 that plays on a PvE server. Back in the days you didnt have to look for PvP because if you played the game outside sz you would end up finding it.

    Well while i took 1 year to get 99 ppl is making 90 in 2 weeks .... i miss PK wars. i miss **** i got by Dejavu and angeRR at swamps while griding in bats >.> AND i miss old TW, used to be 3 hours TW and not 12 minutes TW's

    When I look back at those times I remember Nyteblade and alot of ppl lvling cuz of jolly old jones( oracles ), I remember ppl botting like hell and alot of noobs at lvl9x thinking they are pro by killing other 6x and 7x players that didnt cash shop or botted. Its true that back when the server started HL had alot of good players but is also true that back in those days HL had alot of ppl that failed hardcore. Today I see alot of new players at lvls 9x and 10x that dont know alot about their class but I see more better players today then I saw in the past...

    EDIT: Forgot to add that the pvp from back then was far more entertaining then the pvp now.

    Looking back I rememeber killing a level 87 Icon while I was level 64 and wondering why he bothered leveling in the first place.

    <---- old school with +9 tauren...but ya i remember grinding at around 6x on bats and some ky 8x barb trying to kill me then figured charm waste so called ascii lol b:chuckle with is op 8x wand. Also grinding fish with lig at 7x ftw..b:chuckle helped him get a full squad then he kicks me...that bish b:cute jk lig. gah i miss the good old days b:surrender

    when i was 5-6x i was still playing on LC, and wasnt really active on harshlands.. but seriously u were never in any pk we actually were in. i remember always the same people back then. Bearie,before u got the account, OoQQoO, OoMythoO, oOPPOo, XuLin, Shizuma, MikoChan, TaiShang, Ascii, Aeneas, me.. but for sure never saw a lakai in pk. only time i saw u was on a screenshot in tw and when u married Iffy on system announcement. so stop making as if u were Mr no.1 bm that was all feared and respected because i asked the old kylin members, only 4 remember u. so gtfo kthnkbyeb:bye

    That's weird cos I was an officer in Sin in the early days (much as I hate to admit it) and i don't remember seeing you in the Sin/KY PK wars at all. It was mainly XuLin, Elixilar (SP) and Cielis.

    u were never in a pk fight.. even now u are never in one and u have a nix.. sometimes pve server fits people better. so ask XuLin. we fought in Secret passage(because they had no nix and good archers),Misfortune, anglers, swiftwind village, swamps, and sanctuary. i never knew u were in sin until u said u were. but u can ask killer_khan, i was the only archer stupid enough to fight a barb with 10 lvls more than me with my 2 star gears and hh60 crossbow lol
    and i have tons of SS from early days and pk fights on an old computer. only people in pk fights from sin was trannyeyes,khan, incredible,sbr_nex, rome, a nix veno(forgot her name), deityofrain_(well trying). but never saw a katoo around. because maybe u were still blue name. and i dont really take the time to look at blue names . im sorryb:bye

    some other people pving in kylin when i was 7x - Dream, Truth, SOTK(she tried), jwu and DarkTanker.

    You have poor memory, darlin. I was same lvl as them and was in most of their grinding parties and pk wars. b:bye

    But anyway... PK was fun then due to most were around the same lvl and had the same sht gear on. Even playing field, with a few exceptions like the botters/oraclers who outleveled the rest. Butterflies and bats were fun times.
