How do Wizards earn money?

Dear all,

I was wondering how can Wizards earn fast money? Grind is a choice but it is proven to be quite a slow one. TT mats are decreasing in prices soon.

SO, anyone that have ideas, feel free to post them here b:laugh

I was thinking of max BIDS or Blade tempest and do what clerics do, lure a bunch and aoe them. However, we can't tank as much as cleric can, so the mobs we find must be able to be killed by 1 AOE, is that possible?

P.S. anyone have mage damage calculator?

    [ontopic] I have the same money making problem. It seems they have lowered the droprate of dq items, as only 1 out of 5 mobs gives something these days, which is about 50k an hour. Not much.

    Thank you, No this is not my character its a real person, with a photoshop makeover, but its modeled after my ingame character, bring green hair lips eyes.

    A cheating way for a wizard to make money is to use a veno alt, boring but they are low maintenance.
    Currently flying internet spaceships around dodixie, moving to amarr soon.

    I prefer farming mats, getting 1mil in around 4hrs is better the grinding 100k in 1hr.

    Agree, farming is best. Making ultimate substances is the best way, I think. Tried making fb69 wines, but very hard to sell them. (better cash, though.)

    Thats why some people make genies at lvl 85, and just repeat rb as long as they like to get money :) You can even sell the genies that have good lucky points.

    Don't stick around at 85 for too long, not worth the loss in exp, unless you're trying to raise a good genie. I get 250-300k per hour of grinding at 90. I got 200k+ at 89 at Ossaur Cavalries. And I'm pretty lazy when it comes to grinding when it's not for exp, so it could easily be more, I'm sure.
    Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

    Are you serious? Jolly Jones is running right now, and will continue until the 11th. You're on Heaven's Tear as well, I know pots and oracles are cheap right now, and I can guarantee that they will go up in value once the event ends.     You can buy the items cheaply from players, or just buy gold and buy GAs. Either way whatever you end up with will go up in value in the next few weeks, and go up more in the next few months.

    Alternatively, 1* dragon orbs are on sale. Buy some gold, buy orbs with it. Their price will go back up after the sale, and you can make a nice profit.

    Hard to find low priced items? When PWI has multiple sales every week? There's no need to look around for bargains, they're right in front of your face.

    Amen to that CZb:victory its been 2 months since i reached lvl85 and camping RB gamma, i managed to make 3 Gold Genies(sold 3 for 4m/ea), lvl80 genie exp cubes(around 11?)= can be sold for 1m-2m..

    ..well then again, it all depends on your luck at making genies and finding those easy to please buyersb:chuckle

    oh ye btw, doing RB Gamma is also a good way to save up SP and max out your skills ^_^ before reaching lv89 skills

    Thanks all for the advices. Let me share what i have learn so far.

    Rebirth:
    It really does help me a lot. Rebirth Gamma do help but the problem is it is always hard to find party. I have a fix party but to get 6 online together at the same time prove to be a problem too, all of us are from different timezones.
    I manage to complete rebirth once and i had about 400k-500k profit! good choice now.
    Grinding:
    Guess i will try that on slow mobs like seaspray. I was hoping of a faster way lol(you can say that i am asking for too much b:shutup). when i see BM does the aoe grinding and all the mats just drop on the floor in front of them makes me dam tempted haha.
    Personal Experience: Tried at Pirate zhen spot lure about 6 and did my lvl 4 BIDS on them. Managed to hit them all to 60%health but they came for me and i have to run away lol. Was wondering if i should pump up my BIDS for aoe grinding?
    Mats farming:
    Best idea now. With bounty hunter coming in all the prices of the mats goes very high. Farming mats for a living is good.
    TT:
    Heard that it is not a good idea now, all mats are dropping prices. I heard that its because there are more and more high levels and high level instances is easier to be done, thus TTmats rarity drop, so does it's price. I think it is not worth doing now.

    In conclusion: With friends, it is easier to form squads to make money

    Allthough the dragon zhen sounds very cool, its not practical because the pirates will be lower level= lower droprate... I think you (and me too of course:) ) will soon hit the level to do efficient water mobs level 87 and 88 that swim around 1k and the lake west of broken plains. Wizardss can kill them fast and easy, which is a nice way to get some drops. But mat farming is indeed the best way now, though I dont like it (I forget where they are always:O)

    Heck; it's probably better to just beg with a cute female alt that has a nice feminine name...

    well are u sure becuz gathering mats is so boring and takes time too if u dotn have a good aerocraft or mount....
    anyway DQ items are nice becuz i kill mobs rly fast but sometimes we are killing for long wihtout get anything other the mob drops 2 DQ at once, anyway it waste mp pots/charm

    I make like a lil over 110k per hour grinding, so in 4hrs it's 440k.
    However in 4hrs of mat farming (no distraction no nothing) i can make a lil over 1mil.

    100+ mid mats
    and about 20-40 high mats given Harshland server prices it's worth over 1mil.
