Forgot to mention it makes item binding almost useless now, since it doesnt prevent shattering. Whats the point of item binding if u still got carry dolls to prevent shattering, when u could use safety lock to achieve the same thing >_>

Well, PWI is smart b:chuckle... It makes sense to damage gears for repairs in PK... and blue names/white names don't need to lose anything except maybe exp. You guys gotta live with it, its a "PK" mode, which means winner takes all, loser pays the price. If you don't like to do that, there is duels and TWs available. PKing was always stupid to me, always will be. If you got a problem with it, don't put on PK mode.

Do shattered items completely replace items lost in pvp, or can you still lose items AND shatter items?

You are not dropping it from your inventory.. its spawned by the game

Wouldn't players be able to exploit that then? Have a friend go in PK with cheap disposable armor/weapon and you continuously pk him over and over for free mirages?

shattered item needs to be repaired before it can drop again, and it needs 120% of whats dropped to be reapired.

    So no, cant abuse.

Yeah, we got that you're anti-PK...kinda why you're on HT, right? You're opinion is known, no need to post.

I don't have anything bound at the moment, as doing so at my level would be a waste of money. Either way, this is just stupid. "Here, this is an item you can buy so that if you choose to bind an item, it won't be harmed if/when you PK!" Meanwhile, in the Dev's lab..."Heh, let's make it so they have to pay 120% for repairs for their gear, regardless of whether or not they payed to have their gear protected."

In the few posts that I've made, I've mainly ripped on people who complained about the game, but this really was a ******* stupid move by the devs.

I'm talking about a lvl 30 equipping a white armor bought from npc for a real cheap price. Once shattered, you just npc the armor and buy another cheap one. No need to repair at all.

OMG, don't tell me they really did this even on PvP servers?

So ... my bound Hellfire Drake and legendary equipment can be shattered? WTF did I buy binding charms for then? .b:angry

This penalizes players that spent money on nice cash shop Flyers and equipment.

Yeah...these people won't care at all, I agree. Well, aside from wasting money on NPC gear. Still, I DO agree that if you stick with the bare minimum with no aspirations whatsoever, this is fine. But then again, if you bust your **** getting all the best in-game gear through just grinding out the coin and just binding the gear afterwords, or this--
So ... my bound Hellfire Drake and legendary equipment can be shattered? WTF did I buy binding charms for then? .

well, that's just PWE telling you to **** yourself. I really like this game. When people ***** about the CS or anything else, I usually just rant at them to quit complaining. This patch, though, is bogus as hell.

Again, either you payed real money or spent a decent amount of time earning in game money to be able to bind your items to protect them. Then the devs just decided to throw away your time and/or money and put those same items at risk.

... and guess what ... since you tend to bind your most valuable equipment, they are the MOST likely to be shattered.

This is definitely a very stupid part of the update. It has completely taken away my desire to spend another dime of real cash since you never know when they will make another "update" that will make your purchase worthless.

yup yup. And why should you? They could always insert a new Cash Shop item called "Demon Accomplice" that would nullify the effect of one Guardian Angel each time you PK somebody. You know, charge 40 cents more than an Angel to make it seem "fair," and enjoy the new flood of cash from PKers that are tired of not getting drops due to their targets having bound their gear.

Again, I don't mind PKers, I don't mind dropping my gear when I'm red, but if I specifically pay to have my gear protected during PvP, it should damn well be protected.

I am an anti-PK, but not against PKing. PK is a gamble (which was stupid to begin with) to begin with b:chuckle.
Like i said, just deal with it bro, if u cannot deal with the PK ways, don't put on PK b:bye. I post whenever I feel, you can always do duels and TW. It wasn't a stupid move, its called gambling too bro.

This is a real PK now, repair bills will work like in PVE, but more will be required to repair in PK.

    Well, let's break this down...

"I am an anti-PK, but not against PKing."
So, you're against Player Killing, but not against Player Killing. Well said.

"PK is a gamble (which was stupid to begin with) to begin with."
Well, we KNOW it's a gamble, the idea of binding your equipment was to REMOVE the risk, i.e.- avoid gambling. It's what was paid for, but it is no longer being provided.

"Like i said, just deal with it bro, if u cannot deal with the PK ways, don't put on PK"
Umm..excuse, me, Mr. Heaven's Tear? Please avoid talking to me about "the PK ways." My problem isn't about anything effecting me, because, as I've said, I don't have anything bound. My problem is that people have spent REAL money based on the assumption that that purchase would protect their hard earned gear. It no longer does.

The last bit is a bit redundant, when coupled with the "put on" bit from the last line. I assume you're referring to activating PK mode? I guess you're confused. This is going to have a bigger impact on PvP servers, where you're permanently in PK mode at lvl 30. Our PvP isn't limited to "putting it on," dueling, and TWs. Again, though, you bring up gambling. We UNDERSTAND that. I've lost gear from PKing before, and I didn't QQ about it. If I spend REAL money to protect my gear during PvP, though, it, again, damn well better be protected during PvP or I won't spend the money.

Shattered =/= normal equip damage/repair costs. Shattered= instantly broken+120% costs to repair.

first of all... your gear isn't gone correct? still in ur inv? why is it so hard to spend a little coins to repair? b:chuckle. I am on a PVE server, making me "anti-PK", thats exactly what your saying right? I don't PK, but not against PKing.

I'm sorry my mistake, I forgot that PVP servers are automatic PKing mode. Just pay coins to repair the broken gears. If you feel to flame me, go ahead. Its not going to change anything. I'm just a carebear anyways b:bye

Heh, hadn't read the patch notes for myself, but this actually makes it worse.

So, NOW if I want to have my gear protected during PvP, I need two SEPARATE cash shop items, one of them consumed upon each death. AWESOME.

Oh, and it jacked up repair costs even more. Didn't catch the bit before about the Chi stone drops. So, under this new system, not only will I have to pay out the normal coin to repair my weapon, but I'll have to buy/make Chi stones in order to get it usable again. Oh joy!

You'll be getting chi stones/mirages from shattering other people's gear. If you're a good enough PKer and your gear is bound, then you won't need GAs. You'll get enough chi stones/mirage drops to repair any of your gear if it ever gets shattered.

Eh, I like that it might create a bit more PvP, but still bothers me. Right now, if I want to PK, I can. If I don't want to, it doesn't effect me negatively. With that, if I get PK'd and my gear shatters, either I HAVE to PK in order to have at least SOME some fun while repairing my gear, or I have to grind out the money to buy the cele/mirages. And either one may be hard as hell if my weapon was shattered.

Way to put a positive shine on it, though. That almost made me not mind it as much, lol.

Well, if worse comes to worst, you can always buy an NPC weapon or a cheap weapon from the AH and use that to grind enough coins to repair your shattered one. It's not like a top notch TT weapon with refines and high level shards is needed to grind.

Good question. Why do you need the ONE TIME PURCHASE item to achieve the same effect of an item consumed each time you die? Again, this patch basically says "**** you" to anybody who has payed to bind their gear. "Thanks for your money, but too bad, you have to pay more now. Enjoy!"
