What? Now, why even argue whether sage or demon is better at PK?

Seriously folks, Heaven is good for PvE and Demon is good for PvP. Its a generalisation, yes, but it holds good for all classes.

Theres a reason why demon WBs are rare on PvE servers and why Sage WBs are rare on PvP servers (no offense intended to these).

But in terms of skills and specializations, demon barbs can wipe the floor with all classes and Sage barbs are pretty much going to be the last guy standing.

And as for paying attention to just '1' skill. The demon 89 skills are by far much better to the sage 89s (10% hp vs 50% full dmg?). But I'm still gonna go sage, because I like to tank. Choose by what you want to do.

The later level skills seem to balance out a bit more I think.

Dont think so. The demon true form is the only better then sage skill at lvl 89 .
What about if we compare that way : 40% def+10% hp + mp rec vs 50%
weapon att ?
And sage's get better bonus then demon in this skills too : alcarity , penetrate armor , swell , beast king insparation .

Also remember, Sage barbs can give themselves 50 chi every minute, even while tanking.

However, I was not saying that sage is better PK
I was just saying that it's not impossible to PK with it which seems to be what everybody thinks
I wasn't saying that a barb should hit and run either. I was saying that Sage Beastial Onslaught guarantees hits with the people who hit and run YOU.
And I also wasn't saying that Demon can't tank well. Hell, they can tank the **** out of most everything, I also just pointed out that the skills that a Sage gets is better for that. No need for the cooldown on Flesh Ream to be lower since the cooldown is already short enough to be spammed enough to keep aggro from even the highest DD.
Towards the end you also talk about the 89 skill books
I agree that not all of them go to Sage,
But have you checked the 99 skill books ?
Hands down, those go to Sage.

Overall, a 90s Demon Barb might be better than a Sage
But when you hit 100, Sage Barbs are kings of PW.

OK this is what I think:
Tigerform: 10% hp versus full damage. +10%hp is like +1-1.5K for most people and I don't think that will make that much of a difference tanking. For grinding obviously the full damage is better.

Shapeshifting Intensify: +40% def vs +2% crit. As a tanker I beleive the +40% defense is awesome, but:
1. +40% = probably 1% increase in phy damage reduction at with how much pdef we already have.
2. The skillbook is a rare and drops only in FB99.

Alclarity: yeah 800 damage is better than a 1sec cooldown reduction I guess.
Penetrate armor: yep more pdef reduction.
Swell: I dont use it much (mines still at lvl1) but for aoe a reduced cooldown to me sounds better than the 50% increased range.
Beast King's Inspiration: So instead of buffing every 30mins you only need to buff every sixty minutes? Not much of a improvement. I'd rather have 50% more chi to spam devour and flesh ream and sunder and invoke b:chuckle.

But again all of these skill books are rare and drop in FB99. So you're gonna be hard pressed to get these at 89.

Edit: I agree with the sentiment that at 100+ with all skills learnt the sage and demon are balanced (very different, but balanced). But without all the skills (only FB89 skills i.e. garotte, stomp of beast king and trueform) the demons will have a much better time than the sages.

Guys tell me when u get fb99 skills, i do not know whether im unlucky or what.... Been in "couple" fb99 runs, getting rubbish

the only skills we should compare is fb89 skills and cube skill books
