So, it says you can get from 10 to 50 Phoenix Feathers or Source of Force per pack..
What they don't tell you is that most of the time you end up with 10, 20 or 30 ... The 40 and 50 packs are seldom appearing
out of 50 pack I got :
14 packs of 10
13 packs of 20
15 packs of 30
2 packs of 40
6 packs of 50
So.. with $25 worth of pack you get...1230 Plume or Source. To get 9999 you need to spend in average 230$, taking into account you need to trade one for the other with other players. Or spend around $460 to get them both.

Take average of 25 per pack, you will need 400g for one pet 800g for both. 800g mean 800 USD. The most expensive pixel in any MMO not mentioning they probably nerf them later but is the best pet any veno will likes0 -
Have to agree, that the pricing is totally off the scale. Did they thought this thrue, I doubt no one wants use $800 to get a new pet. Pet that isn't so different compared to free ones except from look.0

The Battle Pet tab is still empty in the boutique, so I'm wondering if:
1. The Battle Pet pack was misplaced.
2. The tab was overlooked.
3. The Phoenix/Hercules will be available (as a whole) from there later on.
4. There will be different battle pets in the future to be placed there.
Other than that, I just don't like how there's a varied chance of getting the feathers or forces. Unless you can trade with someone who has one the other kind.
It might just be better to buy them with your ingame coins than to gamble.0 -

I went and did a little research on CN version of PW.
They have pack with 1000 feathers @ 88G, so to own one phoenix, you need spend 800G. This 800G is RMB, if you translate to USD, is abt $120
Lots of chinese play who owned these pets complained that they nerf them couple months after the introduction.
To buy or not is up to you. For me, I wait and see.b:surrender0 -

Thanks and for the record I didnt spend a dime of real life money to get it either. I been saving up my ingame gold since they first announced the exspanion with it and slowly bought up Zen from AH.
In Total I spent 176 Zen to get it all payed for with in game cash. b:victory

Same here, I'm close to have it too, without spending one cent in RL money for it. But the prices are still way off the scale. And the scam beign that they don't tell you you have much less chance of getting 50 packs than 10 ones.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

If you want to have something right away, there will be a premium price for it. Otherwise, the in-game coin exchange works fine. People complain about everything.
Personally, I find the Hercules to be ugly, and of course, a pet's worth is based on how cute it is! The Blazing Phoenix isn't too bad though.0 -
So Lostfaith on Lost City has both pets. They purchased them within... 2 minutes of each other? That's got to hurt your pocket... I mean really.0

OMG people, some of you are starting to paint yourselves stupid.
First of all if you have been playing PW for any more then 2 weeks you should know damn well by now that when you have a chance at something nice like last weeks lion and this weeks chance at 40-50 feathers/ substance, or whatever it is, that your chances of getting the goods is not going to be the same as getting something lesser. If your chance were good to get 50 all the time then why even make the 10-50 spread?
Now as for the pricing. If your patient you can probably raise in game money (like a person her has mentioned) to buy the mats you need off of others or buy gold with IG coin. If you want something nice you will have to work for it, you cant just expect things to be handed to you all the damn time.b:angry

176 zen.. and I usually buy around 50 zen for 30 pounds each, that's say 90-100 pounds if I get a similar amount of feathers/force thing

I personally am glad that these pets cost this much. You guys know how OP these pets are? Apparently Hercule has more phys def than a barb of the same lvl. If every Veno was able to afford these pets, that'd be ridiculous.
I wish that they didn't come in at all because of how OP they are, but I am glad that they are expensive enough that only a few people will have them (for now).0 -

I agree with your point about $800 for a pet that as an in game product is not completely yours and can be removed from game completely at discretion of game operators is insane (and only slightly less so at $300). However car, vacation for a week (sunny place), or new pc .... nope sorry. Of the three the new PC is the only one you could get for under 800.Perhaps the greatest secret to getting along with others lies in learning to respect their opinion(s) even while you disagree with them.0 -

I have to agree here, I'm no going to die if I don't get the pheonix right now. I'm currently up to 60 feathers and going to continue to buy more as I grind more money. I got 50 feathers for 50k, pretty good I thought as everyone is selling them for 3k each.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
