Are symbols still being allowed for character names?

Such as the star, trademark symbol, chinese letters, etc. I found this to be very annoying in the versions I have played, along with the capitalization bug. Just wondering if they are allowed in this version.

    I'd say it's likely.... if you can type those things, anyways... Personally, though, I like the caps in the middle of a name. Some names are just cooler like that.

    I sure hope not. It is hard to PM someone w/o having to duplicate name because of all the symbols and random caps and chinese characters. So utterly annoying.

    How many times have you had to ask a mutual friend to have that person PM you, just so that you can PM him back because you couldn't simply type it.

    I plan on calling myself "ArKaea". Symbols? No. Caps, though, I support.

    Nice name ark I just want something basic lol...so Im going with Lena but I have no probs with caps but the funny symbols can be annoying at times but hell Ive got his far usin em cant see why I cant just carry on :D Another day in paradise I guess lol

    Well I personally think the symbols can be cool for GUILDS ONLY when I can't type a persons name I WANT TO SCREAM

    Well I myself like my name ☆Krissy☆ cause it is original and my trademark! I think that ppl should ave the right to individuality. With no caps or symbols then we are stuck with lame names :( So I support symbols, numbers and caps! :rolleyes:

    Personally i find symbols a little overbearing at time especially when its all symbols and no letters or numbers. Makes it difficult to pm them and if they need reporting and you cant duplicate the name in forums its a ***** **** to do. Especially if your com p doesn't support those symbols

    Stop demanding official answers. You'll get them when, or if, you get them. If you don't get them, then you just wait and see when the beta comes out :D

    I think they should at least use Unicode to allow support for the Western/European alphabet so people can use names like... hmm... the forum won't let me post The/re\se for some reason :P but I can post the symbols. Weird. ★○■△※◎●◆◇▲
