At one time we had a "directory" listing of the major factions for each server, with their affiliated leaders and websites listed.

At one point, it did get moved to the PWI Wiki, but that information is horribly out of date. Not to mention everything changing with the server merge. Not only have the pages barely been updated in two years, but there are only pages for 4 servers of the old servers.

In an attempt to update this information, could you please post any known data with the following.

Server
Faction Name
Faction Leader
Faction website

Update:
I went out and merged/modified the PWI-Wiki pages for the lists. Keep in mind though, most of that data has not been updated since 2013. I got rid of a fair number of URL's that were outdated, and the ones that were merely linking to old forum posts. Each removed URL was replaced with a ?.
Edit: I went through each url. For all the ones that redirected to a forum post, I put a "?" and will hunt for data on them later.
For every website that was missing, killed, shut down, or otherwise non-existent, I entered "Dead Site". (went digging though DNS on some of them and still nada. A lot of sites were on gamerdna.com and that entire domain is kaput.)
For the functional sites, if I was able to ascertain when they were last active, I noted it. If the site was currently active, or I couldn't determine the last date of activity definitely, then I didn't add a note.
All old server directories still have the websites listed. I only made changes on the new listing I created.

    Stupified is the same.
    (D)efiance and Defiance are the same guild. Leadership changed from CurseD_ to Fatality. the D is the icon, so the faction is technically efiance.

    Edit: except I think you can remove the "PvX". It sort of looks like part of the faction name since no other factions have it.

    Yeah, that was there in the original document so I left it. Will take it out.
    Just finished adding all the ones listed here so far and edited the posts to reflect that.

    The Dreamweaver faction thread is ancient, so I'm going to ignore it. It had one post in 2014 and before that was 2013, so it's not going to be much more updated than the wiki already was.

    EDIT: Harshlands was basically the same.
    Heaven's Tear doesn't even have a thread. Oh, neither does Lost City, or Morai, or Sanctuary.

    Well, I completely revamped the wiki code for the lists. Much more simplified now, uses less text data, but has better formatting.
    Yeah, who knew? got more formatting from using less code. normal-1.gif

    Yeah, that's what I'm hoping, since the majority of the data I have is 2+ years old at best. Lots can change in 2 years in an MMO.

    I don't think there's any point in a directory. If factions aren't actively recruiting in game they are probably dead already. A directory of the semi-active guilds quickly becomes out-of-date, bloated, and useless.

    Asterelle, we don't have any kind of feature in the game that auto keeps any record the activity of a faction (example; TW points, praise points, pvp points, ANY kind of points, rankings of any kind, ect ect). Normally if there was a feature like that it would be an attraction for potentially new members. Making a guide to their websites is the least that can be done for those willing to participate. fox-1.gif

    Used to be, if I wanted to look up a faction and it's leader, I'd use the Wiki list. Then I'd use Core. now we're back to the Wiki list.

    Overall, it can be a good tool. We just need to work on getting it up to date, and keeping it maintained.

    EDIT: Speaking of weeding out the in-actives, I went though all the sites I know are inactive and stuck them into another page. Cleared up a lot of data in the Twilight Temple list, but not so much on the others.
