Gear sent to another player...

Reporting and vouching for MysticArt on Sanctuary server that the scythe I sold him for 565m, one which he bought gold to cover the cost for has been sent to another player on our server.

Please look into this.

I have created two warsoul scythes on this server, one which MysticArt owns and one that I myself own.



The mailing system has NOTHING to do with this. This is entirely a server error, bug or something beyond that. Many people have reported their R999 MISSING on other forum posts, please feel free to browse the forums a bit to gain awareness about the topic.

    So let me get this:

    You had 2 scythes and you decide to sell one to this guy you mention with over 500mil
    But you mailed the scythe to another person.

    Question:
    Why you mailed the scythe? Why didnt you just trade with the person you wanted to sell the scythe?

    Now If i would be this other person which you mailed the scythe I would keep the scythe. I would keep it to give ppl like you a lesson. Sometimes ppl like you deserve a lesson , maybe this way you wont make mistake like this.And if this person decide to keep the scythe for him you cant do a **** about it.

    No maje bought her scythe. The other she owned herself. No one else should have maje's scythe created by TealBlossom it was stolen apparently. As well as a handfull of other players logging in by arrowhead mannor by the mail box with their stuff missing.

    You probably just misspelled their name while mailing it. Try to remember what you could have put, and then Create a character with that name and see if it has new mail. In theory it might work.

    Have any of you seen the issues with Dreamweaver server? I would get all information before berating OP for doing something they never said they did (ie: mailing gear).

    OP please ensure that this is reported in a ticket. Forums are not viewed by support staff.

    It may work in theory? it has no logic in here to even work in theory.

    You mail something and at name you put a name of a toon that doesnt exit than after you send the mail you create a new toon , put that name and you got the mail.

    Also i have to mention that you cannot mail something to someone that doesnt exist no matter if its in this game or anywere else.
    In this game it gives you the message ''Recipient does not exist'' or something like that.

    or you wana tell me that they traded and after clicking ok in both windows person1 received the money and person2 didnt get the item and it appread in someone elses bag magically?

    I guess I better clear this up, I am TealBlossom.

    I am simply reporting that the person I sold my scythe to appeared on another persons character.

    I did not mail anything, I did not drop anything, I did not do anything.

    I am just helping Maje get his scythe that he bought from me back.

    By the word 'sent' I mean it was 'sent' by server error, he already had the scythe. He's owned the scythe for over a week now. The ingame mail service has absolutely nothing to do with this as it was never used.

    I really have nothing to do with this other then vouching that the scythe truly belongs to him and aim to gain awareness that the game has flaws and is creating internal >GAME BREAKING BUGS<.

    What OP is trying to say was he traded the scythe for 565 million. The trade finished and everyone is pleased. Suddenly, probably after a few days, the person who bought the scythe no longer has it and instead someone else has it, without a trade happening during those days.

    "It was sent" has nothing to do with the mail. "It was sent" means it was sent.

    How can you sell something to a person and that thing apear on another person character?
    Didnt you trade with this Maje person?

    This is a week/s after the trade.

    The scythe was moved while he was logged out, please review other forum posts about this topic and you will understand what this thread is about.

    There is another thread called ' PWI Won't try to get my R9 back anymore!' or something of that sort. It involves this issue.

    Finally someone with a better explanation.

    Well the only thing the person with the problem can do is to send a ticket and hope they will fix this.
    Or ask nicely the person that has the scythe now to give it back.

    But this is something that wories me a bit cause it can happen to any of us.

    Just dropping a question here...

    You say this is related to the "R9 gear that won't be returned by GM's", right?

    From what I understand, the person you sold the Scythe to, got it stolen. Now the Scythe is on other people hands. So basically you are helping a friend who got an item robbed, because you sold that item so you know he/had it.

    Am I right?

    in that case, it has nothing to do with the R9 issue, it has to due with gear-stealing by a 3rd party that had or gained access to your friends account and stole the item... Is this correct?

    In that case, all he/she can do is spam tickets about the issue making them aware that he/she doesn't share passwords etc etc... People got gear back after being ****, but not everyone nor easily.

    The item was not robbed, prior to posting a thread I questioned him, did he trade it or does anyone have his account information? He said no to both, thus leaves the only other option known to man at this moment with PWI on how items magically vanish off one account to another and that would be in relation to the game bugging out and sending them somehow.

    All I seek is to gain awareness on the topic, it isn't the only person who had this issue. As I was asking around on the server I ran into another with a similar issue.

    The issue you describe about gear being on the wrong toons was exclusive to dreamweaver server. This thread should infact be about not sharing account info with friends or visiting unsafe sites, nice try though.

    Hardly the only option, and you're going to see most people going with the default other explanation you are ignoring.

    They are lying. Not saying this out of malice, or from knowing the person. But what you don't realize, is in the 6 years of this forum there have been hundreds claiming X item was stolen from them. And it's always been;

    They let someone else (sibling/friend) use their account, and of course they wouldn't have abused it.

    They went to a site that did key-logging, and got their account that way.

    They traded the item away, but want to scam the one who sold them the item/the system into getting them both the item and the money/gold.

    It's pretty darn consistent on this. And the mods will likely wonder why you are handling this, if they bother with it, when all you can prove is that player X had it. Which was done in post 1. So if there was a bug or something actually involved, the player can send in a ticket and reference your post to show they had it, if such proof is required. More than likely they will be looking more towards when it was transferred, through what means, and if more the IPs involved.

    But right now you're trying to convince everyone in forum that this person you've known for a month or two on the internet is so honest and angelic, that all past experience for the everyone else on forums/in game is not applicable. And that's just not going to happen. Which is why the actual person should be the one handling things, and you've already done the most you would need to do in post 1. Everything else is just not needed or helpful to addressing the situation, whatever the actual outcome is.

    I'm surprised people completely dismiss the idea of hacks ever playing a part when someone stuff get's stolen. We forget the day and age live in today? Or is it mostly the older generation speaking here? My point is it can happen. and happens often. I shouldn't have to name examples to explain this. Also This is pwi were talking about after all. If its a server error or hax I want it resolved asap too many people affected by this

    It can happen, and if on DW everyone would assume that was the issue.

    However this is not an item that is untradeable, and is on a server without widespread issues of similar happenings. People are defaulting to the issue people are used to, since all we have here is an issue to give an opinion upon. If there is a bug, it would be readily obvious from the logs they can look into.

    So we don't bother with worrying about that, since there is nothing we can do, and it should be readily apparent. We are pointing out that taking a random stranger met on the internet's word is not the greatest determinant of truth, especially when they've dealt with them for a month or two. And that it might not just be the game being scammed, but Tealblossom themselves in the hope they get the other warsoul through guilting, while getting the money from the warsoul they sold.

    Is that guaranteed what happened? No. But I am also not shutting myself off to either possibility being true (bug vs. lying). Because whomever lost the warsoul could by lying for the easy option of resolving a mistake they realize they made. There are many different reasons someone can be dishonest, and not all entail the liar being a bad person. They could just view it as the easiest way to rectify a bad situation.

    EDIT: To clarify, I am not saying Tealblossom is scamming, but might be getting scammed by the one who lost the warsoul. It may have seemed ambiguous, so just wanted to clarify

    Actually, no iv'e told her friends to tell her not to go through the trouble of getting me another one. Anyway good news They found the person with my items and are taking action against their account. If i Do get my stuff back Hopefully my friend and other people ( im not sure they're a victim of this person ) get their items back too. They didn't tell me what items they had stolen so I couldnt help the guy id your items. If yall see this post be sure to ticket notify them. Maybe well get our stuff back who knows.

    Course in that case, they're just screwed and won't be getting anything back. Safe zone doesn't mean safe, even blue names can be killed in safe zones if someone wants to do it.

    Update: Issue being resolved now, I want to thank teal for taking it upon yourself to go to bat for me showing awareness of this issue. Also to add, I'm honestly shocked by all the claims this game just have the worse customer service. So far for me I havn't been let down on ticket matters, and the speed of the response I got was impressive. Cheers pw on this. Thanks all for the support hopefully every who stuff was taken be returned soon.

    Actually, you are extremely wrong, he was spot on, if you send a mail to a non existing character and then you create said character with that name you will still get the mail.
    For instance, I reserved the names for my duskie and stormie a month in advance, but I never logged into those 2 chars, therefor they never properly activated.
    Meanwhile I sent hypers, charms etc. with the arc codes to the 2, again, without ever logging into them. When the expansion came, I deleted both and made the 2 new classes with the same names and the mails were all there.
    Prior to that, I had sent a few pieces of gear to a misspelled character, whih I was able to recover after creating the character with that name.

    In your case, you created the names in advance, so they existed in the uniquename database. If the name does not exist in the database, you will get the message that the recipient does not exist and can not mail.

    If it's never existed in the database, the system cannot send to it and will throw an error.
