No offense, but 16 PV runs a day being exhausting is purely self-inflicted and well beyond the staple of 'normal dailies'.

Dailies came up a lot in this topic. Dailies in MMO's serve the function of creating the feeling of obligation to log in and put in time. They don't all have to be done every single day. I'll quite often skip some of them in favor of doing something I'd rather do for fun.

Call it self inflicted if you want but PWI requires you to earn 12,789,324,555 exp points to reach end level. PWI put a daily limit and a time limit on entering PV. The ability to earn an extra PV token in shroud. It takes something like 45 mins getting openers and completing all runs. I call it PWI inflicted. They set the first unrealistic amount of exp to 105 once, then added in another 105 two more times. Then they added in a daily mean to get there.

Some people take the same amount of time completing just morai or primal. It's all about dailies according to gear level.

Quite often I skip primal dailies, sometimes even FSP. Really depends if I can complete with points. I also skip BH EU 90% of the time. I think everyone skips some to get something else done.

What did they do to delta? Haven't heard of any changes in there.

Nothing changed except how people do it now. Everyone does spawn point now since they have the gear to do it.

I miss the day when I was just a little, only full +10 r9/r8r mixed barb when people actually wanted to PvP me. Nowadays it's pretty hard to find people that are willing to face me...

Well but with my Stormy people are engaging more often and I'm totally undergeared thanks to PWE and their lack of gears/skills for the new classes. Let's start into a new Era! The Era of Nightshades!

Definitely this! People would flock over Head Hunter, waiting for him to reset and shout "LF new day BH". And I wouldn't fret if I couldn't get into the first squad, because there were several squads running the same BH. b:pleased

I totally miss this too :) but I noticed that now wc is full of bh requests, I usually do other things such dailies and other quests while I wait someone to ask for the bh I needb:chuckle

    I miss...

    1. PWE actually providing support
    2. Joining a random squad and having people actually know how to play their class.
    3. Joining a random squad and having people actually know how to play as a group.
    4. Having free time to play after finishing all the daily quests.

As I saw from guide there is no difference from Phoenix Valley in roles of squad members.

    Am I right ?
    (Frostcovered City)

I can think of several differences in comparison to PV. Please keep in mind I try to think this from the non-rebirth point of view with no superior gear to most other players.

    1. Specific roles.

PV has less of these. In PV you just have a puller, AOE DDs and a healer, sometimes all of these aren't needed.

In FC you have puller, debuffers, AOE DDs, shade killer in most squads and a healer. Sometimes all of these aren't needed.

Shade killer, aka in most cases assassin, would stealth through mobs to kill shade-doorguards. This is a solotask, meaning the sin has to manage the shade and his two adds on his own. This task alone gives sin more practice than most PVs would.

    2. Pulls

PV has only one type of pull. The one where you run through the melee/magic mobs (mostly melee in most PVs) and avoid getting near the silencing/immobilizing mobs, sometimes maybe use a vacuity powder or stop to kill a flock of them. There's no specialities n mobs' attacks.

In FC, however, there are different types of pulls in different sizes. First full pull includes both physical and magical mobs, magic mobs having slow-effect which will force weaker pullers to use some sort of speed boost to continue forward. In second full pull - known also as the magic pull - puller has to be able to take loads of magic damage for quite a long period, these mobs have slow as well. In third full pull - from dreadinra to runewolf and all the mobs in between - you have bunch of melee mobs that seem easy but have a random very hard hitting attack and you have to turn around while pulling them all. The stop at the end can be lethal since at this point you're pulling a huge amount of mobs and have only little time to invoke or use a pot. Last pull in the big room is rather easy as far as technique goes, but the HF debuff from captains can cause real issues once you stop.

Killing methods are quite the same, I give you that. However, in FC it is often harder to catch up - distances are bigger.

    3. Boss techniques

First of all, PV bosses... have no techniques, whatsoever. Few higher ones might have an AOE, that's it.

    Now, let's see FC bosses...

    I. Thunderclaw

    - Spawns 3 orange circles that deal 5k dmg (must move away)
    - Bleed dot

    II. Diabolic Shocktrooper

    - Elemento-stage where you kill elementos to weaken boss
    - Boss has occult ice+water dot -combo as a debuff, random
    - Random sleep
    > Healer might have hard time healing the squad if they get slept

    III. Dreadinra

    - Sleep
    - AoE dealing %-damage of your HP
    - Random purge
    - Spawns bishops that have AoE and immobilize
    >Mobility issues, everyone can take quite a bit of damage, someone has to kill adds

    IV. Asoteric Runewolf

    - Random silence
    - AoE dealing %-damage of your HP
    - Frenzy-buff on self (though it weakens the boss)
    - Often lethal AoE dealing a series of 5k dmg each (long channel)
    > players have to run from his big AoE or use a spark/pot/genie/tidal protection, else they find themselves dead

    V. Messenger of Fear

    - AoE dealing %-damage of your HP
    - AoE-sleep following right after
    >AoE takes ayay about 50% of ur hp, those both features can be interrupted but it is quite hard

    VI. Oceanic Master

    - Hard hitting physical AoE (1-shots every caster with bad pdef)
    - Spawns hands that have to be killed or deal 5k aoe dmg
    - Spawns an add you must leave alone or it will do the same
    >Communication important!

Don't forget the patroling harpys in this room can cause trouble

    VII. Decaying Fragnance

    - AoE-stun
    - pdef/mdef debuff on the tank
    >Heavy damage

    VIII. Asoteric Runephoenix

    - AoE-silence+immobilize
    - AoE
    - Probably one of the easiest bosses

    IX. Holeen

    - Silence, being an annoyance in general but overall easy

    X. Holeen, Champion of Fientazzar

    - AoE taking about 50% of HP
    - Second AoE taking more % HP afterwards when boss HP drops below 50 or so
    - Buffs self
    - AoE-immobilize, silence, channeling/attack rate debuff
    >Can be a pain to kill

    Extra: Cyclotra Styren (jail boss)

    - Spawns Dragoon that AoE-stuns
    - Bleed

    Conclusion:

FC requies much more squad mechanics than PV does. If you want me to explain class by class, I'll do it for you.

Idk, that colour does not show up dark on my screen. It's simply a shade of blue. Not the brightest, but definitely not dark either.

    test 3 custom colour

I have no issues in reading any of those font colours, I just like my blue. b:surrender

Well, except this color. I could totally type a whole paragraph in here and it would be completely invisible unless somebody highlights or quotes it. It's pretty awesome, really.

There's almost no color on here that I can't read... Black is easily the hardest.

    Things I miss:

    - Hypers on FC.
    - No earning control.

These two changes, along with the massive amount of dailies makes the game tedious and limiting. Extremely painful to play.
