    I have been playing for over 4 years and it IS a free to play game despite the OBVIOUS advantage to paying to win. Being a smart *** doesn't change the fact that you don't pay a one time or monthly fee to play this game. It is also still entirely possible to have end game gear without putting money in. Therefore it is free to play.

    someone has to put in the money for end game gear though, because lets be honest r9 gear for a single player would take a faction months/years without the boutique

    when (important)gear is not obtainable in game (pack items) and available only from boutique, then you start to loose f2p status

    the ONLY non boutique based end game piece of gear is cube neck and MAYBE to be nice ill say base hat(even this we can argue because pack hat is much better) , every single other piece comes from boutqiue... pretty screwed up

    so armor, weapon, flyer, shards, and refining is all (practically)impossible without boutique...gg

    That's because up until recently, the tickets themselves were tradeable. So if someone had a full quest list and the ticket wouldn't open, they could trade it. The people that still have tickets to sell are the major abusers that used piles of accounts to amass them.

    But as far as I know, that problem was fixed when they made all tickets untradeable. I even tested it myself to confirm.

    I'm not sure what the current abuse is, but it seems like no matter what is done, someone will find a way to wreck things for everyone else.

    Free to Play and Pay to Win are not mutually exclusive in MMOs. In fact, 90% of P2W games are also F2P (no subscriptions)... thats how they make their profits. Pay to Play MMOs on the other hand tend not to be Pay to Win since the monthly subs tend to guarantee everyone equal footing.

    Everything was untradable. Including the mailed ticket its self. The best I can come up with is random dye services.

    Remember when there was an exploit that allowed some people to dupe Scroll of Tomes? Normal thinking and methods wouldn't actually let you do that.

    Same thing applies to this. Exploiters aren't just doing something as simple as a random dye service on a bunch of accounts. They're abusing the system in a way that has a much more negative effect since otherwise sparkie wouldn't have had to cut it back like this and so suddenly.

    Funny you mention about that Scroll of Tome thing.....i have heard of this before and of a few people that got the banhammer for it and loe and behold they got their accounts back. That kinda of glitching SHOULD be a perma ban but i hear there is a GM helping certain people out that the GM was close to. Must be nice. Those people should never have been unbanned.

    It can still be abused. The tickets don't morph into the item automagically if your quest list is full. I don't know how people get those from person A to person B, but I suspect that catshoppification plays a role in that. People are still selling eventgold and VIP Platinum tickets on Morai in some cats.

    I've ceased to do more then use the ingame "Report Hacking" button for that. Filing a ticket for such is a whole lot of time spent just to get an autoreply in your mailbox...

    Then they must have stocked them a long, long time ago. The tickets (including the item) have been non-tradable for quite some time. That was fixed.
