    For one thing I have a lot of trees and bushes, and the machete is useful for keeping the bush branches away from the the sidewalk. Which I have to or I'd get fined. xD It's also useful for clearing away the grass when it gets really long from around my satellite dish, since I can't use a lawnmower for that area as it could damage the dish (the way it's setup). You can get them at hardware stores for pretty darn cheap. Mine was like 25 dollars.
