Aba and SOT? Cash shop only??

Question:

Did you make Aba and SOT so near impossible so people would have to spend hundreds of dollars on their characters to progress in the game??

Because, as it stands, a 10 person squad of 100+ rx9's and G16's barely have a chance of getting through it and, regular people coming up to being able to even have the option to spend a pile of money have no chance at all.

Granted, you had to make a way to keep the mass of high levels who FC Jail glitched their way to 100+, but why take away the level appropriate good challenge of those FB99 dungeons in the process??

You should have made a new set of dungeons for those already top level characters and left the FB99's possible for those of us just trying to progress in the game.


I realize this probably won't be read and, anyone who has a say in what happens in the game will either miss it as it fades all the way to the bottom, or just disregard it. But please consider all the people who finally get there not being able to progress any further.

Those are the ones who would pay the most. And now they're just leaving the game.

Doing something wrong if can't do the instance with a g16 Nirv/r9rr squad.

Aba culti is easily done once you kill Puppeteer and Hellfire in SoT can just be cheesed through by digging a bunch of Requiem Crystals in the Courtyard and spamming them.

When AEU was first introduced people whined that it's for R9s.
When the new BH Abaddon and Seat of Torment bosses were introduced people whined that BH is impossible to do.

People just need to learn how to run the instance and how to deal with the new things the instance offers. There are guides on the forums and videos on YouTube. For those who don't have the HP/defences to deal with the bosses' AOE they can just stay back. That's what my squad did with Hellfire when we had squishies with us and by squishies I mean 4k HP unbuffed AAs and the like.

aside the fact that you can fully farm endgame gear in pwi (granted, with each update it gets harder and harder without cs to compete. especially with the ever rising gold prices) you do not need endgame gear for sot or aba. all you need is a litte bit of coordination.

-the mobs have more hp but do not hit hard at all. (aba, sot)
-the puppets can be individually pulled and stunlocked. (aba)
-start sot in 'bloody courtyard' and let your squad dig 'requiem crystals' they reduce damage for every squad member extremely. not only at the courtyard boss but everywhere in sot! any boss any mob(s)!(sot)
-you can skip most of the bosses. (aba, sot)

those are just 4 points that make it possible to finish sot and aba even with outdated and low refined gear.

pwi is a bug-infested game with rudimentary support. but calling aba and sot cs-only is ridiculous. people used to do tt3-3 or full warsong with tt90! less whining more trying. there is always a way. for once i do not blame pwi, i blame your (and your squads) lack of creativity and class-knowledge. b:bye

There is 1 hard boss in each instance. The rest of the entire instance is cake once you learn to do it. Sounds like you just haven't figured out what to do yet so are complaining you need better gear...

I mean, Seat hardly has any mobs left. It's not like you need better gear to face mobs that teleport you or stun you but don't do damage. Most the bosses can still be apslolfacerolled. The one that can't they've made easier for a tank to hold aggro on, the rest of the squad just needs 5k hp to survive aggro.

Aba the only difficult boss is puppeteer and he's only difficult if your squad doesn't kill the puppets. I've seen very decently geared squads get wiped because they avoided using any technique on the boss.

So... cs your way up to 5k hp then just play smart.

Apostasy - Raging Tide

Once one hits 95, you can go to morai to get the quested gears. Those gears give +Slaying and +Warding levels which are equivalent to +Attack and +Defense levels, but only in PvE. Although they are not the best gears, they are a good start to building toward the higher "easily cs accessible" gears. As one hits end game around 100 and higher, the building of gears is the equivalent of building levels prior to that. So it is a matter of building to that point and learning tricks to building materials to the ends you want to accomplish. Such does take time.

Otherwise yes, the pay to win aspect of this game is disgusting. However, at the same time, there is no reason to not pay around $10-30 per month (10-30 gold) to play as well. The pay to play subscription games cost that much. I do not see why people would expect to play a game entirely for free when that is considered.

^This. The players are the biggest problem in this game. Since 5aps became so popular: many good players abandoned this game. Most of what we have now is apsidiots that do more harm than good in today's instances.

I really didn't think Aba was that hard. I just did a full culti run on my 97 archer (faction mate needed help with his). It was my first time in there (so didn't even know where to go) and I didn't die once. My charm did tick a few times when I had to run through the falling rocks, but I stayed on the wall and used holy path. Plus I didn't attack until another person in squad did and if I did aggro a mob I ran to our tank really fast so he could grab it.

When it came to the bosses I stayed at max distance to attack. The only person that died in our run was one of the clerics, but his HP was extremely low (not even 4k). If I could do it at my level and in my armor anyone 100+ should be able too as long as they pay attention. You just need to stay together as a group and learn your limits. If you can't handle AoE or being hit, then attack from a distance and space out your hits so you don't accidentally pull aggro.

Aba and SoT have become more fun to do if anything, some bosses yeah you have to think on the first few times to get use to them but that's how all new things start out. You no longer have to run around the whole instance which is nice and SoT goes by super fast, and a 5 man squad can kill hellfire in SoT so its not impossible to kill just have to learn how to kill it easier.

Big respect for you working on your gear and not in a huge rush to level unlike 90% of the people that are now 100+ doing these instances. I am a bit curious as to the reason you are taking another 2-3 months to get to 100, even without FC there are plenty of decent ways to get the xp without turning into a hyper noob.

If people took the time to work on their gear, learn their skills and learn what a boss does and work out ways to counter it these threads wouldn't keep popping up. By now enough people have run this instance and enough people have worked out the tricks - e.g digging crystals for hellfire. People not being able to do these two instances have absolutely nothing to do with cash shoppers...

I figure it will take me another 2 to 3 months of farming to save up enough coin and mats needed for my R8 (and recast it right away). I do all my quests and spend hours each day just farming. I like having my gear ready when I level. To me it makes no sense to rush to a high level then work on getting your gear. Personally I prefer to farm it as I go.

When I get my archer to 100 it will be my first toon to reach that level. I've actually played this game for over two years, but switched servers a little over a year ago, so I had to start over. I have many alts that I play too just because I find playing the same class every day gets a little dull. My second highest level is 95.

I have to say that Hellfire does have a hard hitting aoe. I play a lv101 veno with +5 everything r8 top/bottom and s3 boots wrists, a WoC and WoH. My buffed HP is 8700. I don't have the best gear but much better than TT90/TT99. I was 1 hit inside BB and we were spamming the crystal pots. I looked at the damage profile and I was hit for 13K from Hellfire's AoE. I would like to see a caster survive the battle in tt90 gear.

I am all for more difficult content but I truly miss the old Hellfire. They should have left the FB99 bosses alone or at least tone down Hellfire's aoe. Abba is fine, all of SoT is fine except for Hellfire's AoE.

you didn't spam crystals properly; his aoe hits around 300 if crystaled.

Yo my +12 squad failed in aba and seat. Where can we get moar refines b:cry.

Pwi make +24 refines nao b:dirty. I want to one shot all bosses.

Last weekly SoT I was in, I killed the energy star for the trap, and people told me using it was a good way to die.

The previous one, the minotaurs were pulled to it, and boss died soon after.

love the "Solution: more weapon refines" instead of armor refines. so true!

While you're doing armor refines, don't forget ornament refines, especially physical ornaments if you're arcane built.

tbh, doing the trap trick is more dangerous; someone runs with the minotaur, misses the crystal rebuff and then goes splat. hugging together and having someone tanky get the minotaur is much safer/faster.

Someone tanky getting the minotaur (BM, seeker) can probably survive missing the crystal rebuff while he pulls it to the trap and runs back. Or he could have a few crystals of his own to give himself the crystal buff.

and it's hard enough to convince the squad that no, cleric should not BB 30m away and we should all hug to together and use crystals ("I don't believe in crystals, it's jsut a rumour"), let alone organise a second person taking care of the ads while using crystals. b:surrender yeah I run with (mostly) randoms XD
