Since the coeficient is totally random and seems to be difficult to reach its maximal number, i think we do not have to spend extra money to buy monkey (if we already had a niex)

I mention something similar in the conclusions section.
You don't need the Monkey, it's just really nice to have. It's quite a must for top/serious PvPers though because it is the new best PvP pet and that's because of its stunlocking abilities, not the damage.

Phoenix is almost purely a pvp pet. Even non legendary pets have become more useful for me in PvE after evolution. If I did pvp; I'd take the monkey over the nix if I didn't have either atm.

About Evolved Pets, I have some questions and considerations:

The fact that an Evolved Pet can not be negotiated is disappointing to me.

To me, it should give more space for cages for those who have venomancer, especially now with the Evolved Pets.

One thing made ​​me sad, I have a Riptide Tortoise and so far not seen possiblity of making it Evolved.

Evolved Pet can't be stored in the safe or in the bag?

Evolved Pets can be replaced in the cages, as before, or become trapped in cage like Hercules?

Have to say that Harpy is awesome. It's really good for AOE grinding.

AND now I find that she can tank magic bosses well too! Have to do more research but I'm happy and feeling happier. Loving the harpy.

lol not much love for the phoenix pet and its the only legendary pet that can 3 sec seal and 55% max damage reduction skill from mood skill Silent, very useful in my opinion since seal effect goes through movement immune buff, helloooo people yall forgeting that. b:chuckle

I got chivalrous on my nix and he randomily stuns all the time so the emphasis on it being 'bad' now kind of confuses me, too ''x3.... it already feels like I have a bunch of stuns now so three stun skills seems kinda overkill to me OTL

b:laugh exactly lol venos can give it 2 sec stun instead of 3 sec seal whichever preference.

I don't know but I had that mood skill on my dino and it barely worked for me, unless it's less effective on monsters. I wouldn't want my Phoenix auto-attacking an AA person either because I want to avoid triggering Purify Proc so the chance those type of skills have is too low for me and I'd rather have something else that I can use on all type of people/builds.

I don't find the Phoenix bad or useless in PvP but I wouldn't recommend it if someone's thinking of buying a PvP pet unless they want a really cheap option. I'd much rather recommend and go for Monkey myself for the more reliable stunlocking.

Most people have a Phoenix by now though so it doesn't matter much.

Why I say first, smaller number is the monster bonus:

Damage on Etherocelot Guard (93 MT element) by 73 Harpy:
Ice Stick (200% attack water damage + 150% bonus): 585 + 1560 (amped) 585 + 2029
Fallen Leaf and Flying Flowers (200% wood damage + 100% bonus): 390 + 1560 (amped) 390 + 2029

From actual PvP with the monkey king I would say if you're PvP focused it's worth it.

I have the self heal and +12 def lvl buff on it so it's fairly hard to kill, and the stuns are amazing. More than once that 2 seconds has saved me, it's enough time to hit a pot/AD/whatever to survive.

It does good damage too.

I've actually switched to using my nix as backup.

Yes, that's the problem. I wanted this mood so much, but 3% don't seem like a decent chance for me now. Can aps EAs and maybe seekers, but only because there is no choice - to send it to death (like with melee) or keep near yourself, since those classes are ranged. I'm looking at 30% chance stealing chi, but second skill doesn't have +atk/def lvl. Anyway i'm going to reroll it again and try something else. Slightly disappointed.

Well, to be fair, I'm not doing any PvP with my nix right now and once I get other pets evolved I may very well replace him with a better PvE pet so not have a use for that 2% stun anymore since yeah-- and is it really just the expectation that everyone has purify now, gosh 'x3
If I actually end up doing PvP instances ever again that I'd want to try and reroll for one of the 30% moods... I only got level one mind so don't even really care about the loss of 2 defence and 2 attack levels too much OTL
Still hoping there'll eventually be a way to level up mood skills....

There are a bunch of people with R999 weapons (and gear) on my server and..now it appears that I am one of them as well xD I'd imagine there are much more on a PvP server so...have to take that into consideration when thinking of PvP b:surrender

It seems to me that the harpy has become the new premiere grind pet. Can't tank as many mobs at once as a herc, can't kill one-on-one as fast as a nix, but kills bunches fairly fast. Just made a cool half mill grinding on goothes.

Grind style and what you're grinding have to be major factors. I have 4 pets in my bag that I'd use for grinding various ways.

Had an opportunity to test my celestial giant vs. Polearm. Went down in 2 hits after the axes hit, but had about 1/3 life left after first hit, so someone with ungodly magic attack might be able to keep theirs alive.

Does anyone have a picture of the evolved Empyrean Harpy? I so wanna see it in comparison to my Harpy atm.

edit: looked at Desdi's videos of her Empyrean Harpy but can't see a difference at all.. Except height?

Did a TT3-3 with faction. Harpy was able to range tank some bosses (not ones like emperor though). This depends on gear of course but looks like it's pretty tanky at range.

My Celestial Giant tanked (practically soloed) Ancient Evil tonight (first two adds were taken care of before I was called in; third was grabbed by BM after it spawned.) You've got to be pretty tanky yourself to survive the AOE when he random-aggroes you though (I had 22k pdef with cleric and BM buffs in fox, and still got hit for 3326 at one point. The 4k cleric got 1-shot several times, trying to set up RB to help me heal. BM ran in a couple times near the end to DD.)

I'm not sure whether they did something to help pets tank BEFORE evolution.

I was speaking to venos about the OHT culti involving kills of Void Hunter, Crack Warper and Gigantic Xenomorph. Most said they couldn't do it.

My level 90 herc solo-ed Crack Warper and Void Hunter with quite a bit of heals thrown in.

My level 85 harpy range tanked Gigantic Xenomorph. Felt awesome. Took a while though since she's like 11 levels below me and all.

My herc tanked Gigantic Xenomorph for a hercless veno friend when I was below the level to need it (friend helped heal herc) so I really don't think so. (I don't have clear memories of Crack Warper or Void Hunter.) In your friends' cases, it was probably more a matter of "I couldn't heal enough" than "my herc was one-shot."

i'm a one shot if i get near crack warper lol. My herc isn't. Not sure if i tried with my walker or not before getting the herc. i can solo those bosses with no issues. and evolved should make them die quicker
