I think the scoring system should be reconsidered. If a Nation gets off to a large lead at the beginning, they seem to have a massive advantage over the others, even if the War changes tide halfway through and they actually end up with less territories.
Also, I think your Nation's score affects your reward too much, it's not your fault if people don't cooperate and instead of defending the flag carrier from R9 Wizards and Psys, run around chasing after barbs on the other side of the map. In last night's war I scored 8073 contribution, but received 46 tokens because my nation received 6895 in total. >.>[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

It almost seems that way, but I've actually observed a couple of comebacks and near ties in Sanctuary server. Sunday's was a particularly interesting war with only Flame nation lagging behind. Bottom line is it comes down to the total number of victories, it would make it even more unfair in my opinion to have the last half hour decide the outcome (if you were counting which nations end up with more land for instace) than to account for the full night's effort.

I have yet to be on a winning nation (even if my own personal contribution I would characterize as solid and certainly improving from one night to the next) but I don't consider this unfair at all. Yes, you don't get to choose which nation you're fighting for, but this score is based on group effort and if the mechanic isn't by itself encouraging SOME of the people on your server to cooperate then the problem lies with the noobishness of your population. Sorry to put it that way but I'm only speaking the truth here. I got 62 tokens last night with a contribution roughly half yours, and this is on a more populated server, so apparently there is more complexity to the system that some people give it credit for.
Edit; Just to make this clear, I find conceited the idea that any given side is dragging any more uncooperative or outright noobish players than any other. It's the people that are competitive and actively engaged that actually do make a difference, this is why I was speaking about a server's population as any given nation's players will reflect that. Yes, you may be an excellent element on what otherwise is a nation with poor results on any given night, but realize you, and I, are all responsable for final contributions. It's not just how many points you get individually, escort duty apparently gives no points for instance, but how much you actually contribute to your nation winning. I have no reason to believe that any nation winning doesn't deserve it, and in the end that comes down to the decisive influence of key players. So I don't buy the whole "I'm uber leet" thing...0 -
Idk if it's that great to be dead tired at saturday and monday because of staying up from half 4 to half 6 AM just to enter this event... meh.
Yet to add all the spawn killing AND difficulty to get in areas at times..

I think they should do away with the nation points altogether, and make it more about personal score and winning battles. I dislike that someone can do half the work and get three times the reward just because random chance put them in the better nation. It's the same reason I hate the random contribution points awarded at the end of Tiger Event... just give the people what *they* earned.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Might as well do away with the flags, nations and maps altogether and just turn it into thuggish arena style matches... Once again, its a group effort, if you guys are truly that leet then squad up and own the war. If you can't work as a team you deserve to be left out in the cold...0 -

When I have bramble... more sins die to bramble then actually getting a kill. When I don't have bramble... about half of sin dies to domain/wing attack with other half getting away or making a kill. Granted that most of my deaths are from sins... I am still dying less then I would otherwise have in a 2 hour tw. From what I am seeing... TW team work is actually counter productive in nation wars. You don't need a whole squad of 10 +12 r9s to win a land. Thats just a huge waste of resources. Of the four wars that I been to... I ALWAYS scored more points when I went off solo to defend while my squad stick together to attack. There are couple of reasons for this (as far as I can see). When I am solo... 1. we don't win the war in 5 minutes... hence more time to kill or get points. 2. I don't have to fight with 9 other +12 for kills. 3. When offense makes a bee line for anything and a choke point gets taken... every land after that becomes free for the re-take with 0 resistance.1. If I kill you; do something about it yourself, don't go complaining to my wife.
2. If you have less kill counts then me, don't expect me to take pk advice from you.
3. If you are hiding behind an alt, don't expect me to acknowledge your existence.
