we must not let this get out of control. The my-en became a spam fest and now the game is shut down.0

I think moderators should get access to the forum filter.
Here's the deal:
-Instead of changing censored words to asterisks, the filter would give an error message suggesting you to edit your post.
-Before deleting a spam thread, a moderator can add the link/keywords they spammed to the filter (or Frankie can update it himself once a day by checking the deleted posts section).
Just a quick idea, and I don't know how difficult it could be to implement, but it could help.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
It all has to do with what the company wants us to do, we're the forum janitors but we don't have access to all of the "facilities".

Yeah, just made a small edit. Frankie himself could update the filters once a day or so.
For example, if the word ''Southampton'' were blocked now, the spammers would be pretty much disabled.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

That's not going to help.
They just need to implement this at registration page - http://www.google.com/recaptcha0 -

I don't know why they didn't put it on the registering page, but I think it would only make a small dent (the spammer would have to manually create accounts, which wouldn't take that much effort).[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

You are doing a great job Shelley! If you have time could you get the last post on the Reflections sticky?
Thanks for the hard work, forum looks much better than it did last night. b:thanks0 -
Hmm, I am not sure if PWE has a tool to make all the topics and posts made by the spammers invisible.
If PWE had this kind of tool, the forum mods don't have to delete the spamtastic topic one by one.
Just tag the spammer accounts with the tool that makes all his/her/its posts & topics invisible.
So far, I have seen two forums using this kind of tool to battle epic spam posts on their forums.(\__/)
