People absolutely have the right to do so. It doesn't make me think they're being stupid by asking for weapon links, though. Weapon links do not prove the person is going to be good in the squad.

Ive met more +10/+12 people who can't play than ones with +5 and under TT90/Gold mix geared people. Hell I knew a BM in TT80 with +5 Deicides and GXs that did better in RB than one BM with who had full +10 N2. Heck I know of a few players who have full R9 that suck compared to the guy in TT80.

I do agree on the moochbags. The solution squad leader kicks them and you find someone else. Done it before myself for RB and Warsong. (Old Aba and SoT I never cared, it was soloable).

Honestly some people are just trying to work to improve their gear without CSing. Level 100 unfortunately doesn't come with a +10 weapon, 5aps gear, and a full compliment of Sage/Demon skills.

And Venus, personally if I saw a "BH39, Link Weapon" Id expect that to be a troll.

I wish it were one, I wish it were. I'm gonna give the person the benefit of the doubt and assume they squaded with someone who was still wearing that free timed armor or something.

What I don't understand is where a few of you here who support weapon linking are finding these players with "crappy gear"? Honestly, in the past month or so I've come across maybe 3 players total who are legitimately undergeared. That's out of the many hundreds I've probably squadded with. Everyone else had sufficient gear to finish the dungeon.

To make a point.... TT90 green/tt99 mix +4-5 is NOT undergeared. Not by a longshot. TT90 green especially has decent adds and +4 is enough to manage most PvE if you play your class right. Heck, I remember my first large TW faction I joined (years ago) I had just got an "endgame" set of tt90 green, +5. I was better geared than quite a few other players and used to be called on for dungeons a lot. Nowadays in that gear I'd likely be denied for the same dungeons.

I understand a little aps in vana. I understand requiring somewhat decent gear for AEU or full warsongs. But when people start expecting R8 +7 or higher for BH's I really start to wonder.

caster nirvy is an example; I have squaded with a lot of people with barely 4k hp (i distincly remember a 3k hp cleric and a 3.4k hp wizzie). depending on the rest of the squad (my psy's gears is not, by any means, awesome but can survive easily or even tank caster) the run was either short due to some r9/experienced squad, long (normal) or failed (or we brought someone else for last boss). [random wc squads btw]

Unfortunately, this isn't entirely considered crappy gear. I myself, have merely 3.8k hp without buffs, but make up for the lack of hp with high defense values. I have a higher survive-ability rate than most clerics I run into with 5-8k hp and I deal a hell of a lot more damage than them as well. (Increased damage also means increased healing power.)

My goal is ultimately 5k hp, but I've got a lot of refining to do. I've done hardly any at this point. Most of my gear is merely +3 or +4 right now.

i absolutely agree with that; hp by itself cannot determine your survivability (even before considering skill). It's based on hp-def-def lvls-warding levels. for example my psy with some parts of morai g12 armor had better effective hp than with his old gear.

on the other hand, the cleric's armor was unrefined, unsharded and was using -chan elem orns so his pdef etc were low too

Probably got trolled hard by a cleric with lvl1 res. There is no way of knowing how much % you gained until you've accepted .

As for BH39 weapon linking.. I find that REALLY hard to believe to not be a troll..but then again..people are just getting more and more mean in this game, perhaps prefer to only play with uber geared people -.-.

joke aside, a lvl10 or 11 rez would be good if you're lvl104 and at 99% exp and you know if you release you're gonna QQ much for more grinding and farming!!!b:surrender
