Compared to RS, the community is superb.

Its not all barb and since barb cannot hold aggro anymore on any class i prefer him DD with claw.

Well that will make cleric become better and ppl gear up more.
secret passage being made into a pk warzone once and then made into pk a second time with restrictions on pking.
To be honest i dont care i never go there pk lvl 30.

People was already jerk you just notice more since they have a big baw to pew pew.
people not doin quests cause they are boring and repeditive so they hyper in FF up to 100 within a week or less.
Not everyone do and the only bad thing with that is people at lvl 100 are unskill and fail and its not PWI fault if people dont take time to learn their class.

bh platform being a ghost platform and hardly anyone doing tt runs like they used to.
People still do bh they just dont camp there cause people before was forming squad with all chat now they do in wc. Some people still run TT, to be honest i think its something which should be run as faction, in random squad the split is awfull and for me personnally i dont do for 2 reasons, i hate TT and got to much scam in it everytime i run it.
public quest being abandoned, world quest is a drag since no one wants to fly around pw from one npc to the next.
I never saw many people do PQ anyway and now there's so many dailies that its almost impossible to do all and since WQ is one of the longest one for almost no exp, people do the other for more ''reward''.
morai broken from the very start
Morai is new, ofc there's some lag but its a really active map.
new skills made for lvl 80 and cult79 but need to be 95 to get the skills learned.
I learned the skill on my veno lvl 92, you do not need be lvl95.
new area looks cool but has serious glitch, lag and rubberbanding.
Got some lag but its not like was impossible to do anything on it, take SS and submit ticket when you see one.
new armor is the same as tt70 stats (since ive compared the two myself)
The Morai armor have warding and slaying lvl that other gears dont have, the hole set give a bonus that TT70 dont give, and the weapon is better than TT90 and lunar (the magic one) i had TT90+4 on my wizz and i was dealing more damage with the Morai weapon no refine and shard and same for someone i know that used lunar.
pw not giving accurate replys to ppls tickets and complaints.
Everytime i sended ticket i always had a answer pretty much fast some people come QQ in forum they sended a ticket and they didnt got answer and GM answer to them that the ticket was sended 1hour earlier, for the amount of people sending tickets prolly every minute, hours that take more than one hour answer everyone
player community is at an alltime low since r9 and aps made ppl become so power hungry and speed lvlers.
The people who left the game cause R9 are people who was already lvl100+ and beside farm R9 they choose the easy QQ way to quit, people low lvl dont care about R9 people they are too much busy do their own stuff.

There's a lot of quests people just dont bother do it its not the same thing.
so with everything tht ive listed here signifys a pay to play by using a plastic card just to get wht they want. sure ya can try and find enjoyment even though its hard to when the rest of the brats want ya to go along with them just to have fun. to me its more hard to have fun in pw when things are like they are now with very few ppl callin out for bh whtever and havin to have a high lvl solo the instance for them instead of them learning to do it themselves. the only bhs i do with friends tht i know except a few randoms on occasion when i can find a squad.
I dunno on which server you are but on Harsland the world chat is spam all the time of people making bh i never got problem found bh squad at all, yes some ask weap and dont take lower than R8 but cmmon R8 is so easy to farm take me 2 weeks 2x to get money for rep and weap. If really you cant find than just make your own squad. That's the biggest problem of people they wait other people make squad and they QQ they are not take in squad cause not R9, take initiave go buy wines and make a squad, as far as i know you dont need a R9 and plastic card to make ur own bh squad, you can do easy with TT99 R8 ppl and u dont need a 5 aps squad to make it, people was making bh100 before R8 u know? Its just about be skilled, the ppl the more unskill i see are the R8 and R9 is even worse. Just exemple bh Abba, i do it with random ppl, i dont even take sin cause 99% of them say ''ill wait you at boss'' while the rest clear the way and guard/tower.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

i can't think of much in particular that has gone terribly wrong. at one point i did but i guess i came to terms with it for i no longer remember.
for low(-ish) lvls (1-50) i see things being alot easier than when i first started. leveling wise anyway. i mean this without fc.
for mid-ish lvls (50-80) i find questing gets boring, people fc from lvl 1 or so making noob bh squads which require a lvl 100 to step in and solo the instance. it's just sad. just sayin from my own experiences.
for high lvls (80-100+) i'll admit the morai expansion does give more interesting quest with better exp rewards (i approve) compared to grinding 100 mobs to get 30k or less exp. actually makes questing more enjoyable/worth putting effort into. fc though gets sad still. mostly sins selling to low lvls or the squads sucked cuz people powerlvled. it's become a rare pleasure to find a squad that will actually work together and not spend time bragging about the gear thy bought or how many days it took them to get to xx lvl. but not much anyone can do about that one.
playing on morai....fun...but glitchy, getting stuck on land while being attacked sucks. graphics are nice although running from one of the old places to one of the new ones (eg expansion onward) there is a distinct difference in graphics style. i mean as far as art goes the change is a tad abrupt. not complaining. just always strikes me as a little odd.
gear....the gear is fine for the most part my only complaint is the reduced drop rates in tt. especially to do it solo. sure you can sometimes get a few mats but it's like you gotta farm solo tt like 10 times just to get the mats you need for one piece of gear compared to doing it once or twice in squad mode during 2x just to get everything. i used to do like maybe 3-4 solo tts to get the mats i needed for one thing. it's just rediculous now.
oh yeah, i find it odd that seekers and mystic can't use bows. not like it's really needed, for mystics especially, but still....
i have nothing to say about pvp really since i don't bother with it. i'm still practically a one shot wonder in pvp. :P
not a whole lot a sense of community...in some factions yes there is but i find that hard to find. could just be me. and don't really use the forums much anymore. i just find nothing to really draw my attention back here.
over all pwi isn't doing bad, although it isn't doing great, so far i feel it's improved since the eg expansion. those are my thoughts. that is allI am an altaholic lol:

Hmmm, been meaning to reply/troll this thread. As someone who has played for months, quit for a while, played for months, quit for a while, and came back in November. Here are the big changes I've noticed:
Leveling:
Well, the FC-Hyper-noob situation kinda had a neutral effect on the game.
-It allowed those of us who were part of the old days to finally level more than once a month.
-It created hyper noobs - people who sped through levels without really learning the game.
The Goon Glitch has had a negative effect on the game.
-There are a ton of 101-105's running around.
-There are a ton of people 100+ with multiple alts.
-There are a lot of jealous/rightfully upset people that they did not, or were unable to abuse said glitch, thereby not being able to compete or "have as much awesome" as those who did.
Overall.
-It's a lonely life till 80, as you are pretty much soloing and ignoring quests as much as possible to race to 80, where you can finally find a group for things (mostly FC)
-The game really does not widen/get fun until 100 when your options for zones and content open up.
-There is no more "Well...I hit 80. Now to try and hit 81/82 by next month"
-Leveling is too fast, hyper leveling pre-80 or post 80.
-All of the really fun back in the day (struggles and not) content is no longer used. I went out and killed every world quest boss just to make sure I remembered where they are. Barely anyone does these unless required by culti. You just don't need the gear or exp from them.
Gear:
If you weren't around for the APS craze...
-APS is amazing. A-maz-ing. Makes so much content way faster when it was a rinse and repeat snooze fest, and you can now solo/duo content that was once so annoyingly almost impossible you skipped it cause it was annoying.
-Barbs are now useless tank wise past 92. They can sometimes grab aggro temporarily. They can keep it in Trials vs low refine aps toons though.
-Clerics/Healers aren't even needed if you have BP and APS.
R9 or G T F O
-PvP/TW is mostly CS gotten gear.
-R9, and kinda sorta the G15 Morai gear is overpowered in PvE.
Farmed Nirvana Gear
-Totally cool. I've made friends doing nirvvy, merched like a madman, etc.
-Gear is nice, and obtainable. Not end, end game but end game worthy.
Overall.
-Between APS and R9 gear most, if not all of the cherished "If you can do this, you are AWESOME at this game" PvE content is trivial and easily done by an overgeared noob.
Content:
Morai is awesome.
-Takes forever to get the stuff, but its fun and awesome.
-Toxin quest reward is lame. Once again it's a casino thing, only the lucky end up with something worth their time. The quest itself aint bad and is fun.
Earthguards.
-Seekers and Mystics are cool. Not so hot in PvP comparatively.
-New zones down there are kewl.
Weekly Quests.
-There's more of them, but as usual with any public quest, dominated by the good (or mediocre) players with good gear.
-They're fun if you don't care about "Winning" or getting a reward.
Nirvana.
-As stated above - its fun!
-Things have cute nicknames per servers, it's exciting when you see a rare, it's annoying when you see KFC.
-I really wish the casters could spam it as much as the aps-ers.
RB without the terror.
-As stated above, kinda trivial. But if you go in a non-full-R9 group it's got some challenge and its fun.
Trophy Modes.
-Everything you do in PvE, except at warp speed. Good test of gear, skills, attention span, fun.
Overall.
-As stated above...most of this is not till you're 100. It's really get to 80 without boredom-quitting, FC to 100, and then you have content. More content is needed (especially in variance of experiences), but it is there, and it is fun.
So really, overall:
-Leveling is gimped. That experience is now trash.
-Gear has gone crazy, it has its benefits but drawbacks. You can rely on gear instead of skill easily now. But there are more choices and stuff to get now.
-There is more content, but really not until you're 100 and appropriately geared.

Having played for about 3 years on various characters, I'll say that the game wasn't what it was back then. But hey, things change. Current state of the game now? Again, not how it was, but with the Descent expansion it has definitely taken a jump forward. Probably one of the best expansions PW has brought. Yes there are a few things that people are bound to complain about, but honestly, every game has that.
But I firmly believe that PWI is a lot better off than most games out there. Like FW was mentioned. I did the Beta for it, even played for a long decent while afterwords. But I found myself coming back to PWI over and over again. It may have it's issues, but come on now, every game does. The game is what you make it to be, you don't have to the best of the best. Just play to have fun. There's still players out there that just enjoy running around having fun with each other and meeting new people to do things with.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

The player base is childish and selfish.
The game is repetitive and boring with no real challenges.
The reward system later in levels is pointless and non existant unless you invest $ or time.
And more importantly.. found better things to do outside of the game with the nice weather around the corner..

My main issue with the game is theres nothing to look forward to. The PvE is boring and repetitive. I loved my first FCC, thought it was tons of fun, but 90+ fc's are half hotkeys and half watching tv.
The PvP is very well put together and tons of fun, but theres no place for someone with no money, no time, and not enough computer capacity to run a catshop for days on end. If I knew I could play this game for an hour a day and have fun, or hell, even know i'm working to get to the fun part, i might come back.0 -

I think that this is one of the biggest problems this game has.
Even if you put "honest" (however that's defined) effort into this game, you won't feel like you're going anywhere. That's my observation, at least. Farming endeavors that promise lucrative rewards often take a squad's effort (or the effort of one to three very powerful characters, often--which requires acquisition of the kinds of equipment that one would be farming so much for in the first place, given the status quo). An extreme example of the former are, collectively, the Trials. An example of the parenthetical latter is Nirvana.
Of course, not everyone (I'm SURE the number of those for whom this is applicable is a small one) has regular and consistent access to a group who would be willing to spend time on such endeavors, and then walk away with only the good, altruistic feeling of having helped a friend with his or her goals by giving them all the spoils of said endeavors.
No--simply put, people want their cut.
Thus, drops in Nirvana get split six ways, while quenching a TT99 weapon/armor piece still takes 250 Raptures/uncannies. Recasting R8 takes a hideous quantity of materials from the Trials, which mostly go to the faction itself. The individual often gets a paltry reward at the end (Memorial Coins). All this with these endeavors taking hours, if you're still one of those that needs to farm (i.e. without R9 and the like). TT farming is at its best during 2X. When drop rates are normal, well...you know what happens--more of the same.
Because of these being the case, the cash shop-powered shortcuts are popular. Hard work isn't really worth it. Perhaps you could say that the CSers are those who are being honest with themselves about this. I can't blame them.The one and only.

1. SIN/PSY issue: the inclusion of the new skills were meant to bring balance but in truth only 4 classes got any real help. archers, barbs, bm's and wizards all made out okay but everyone else got fail skills. the most fail was clerics. psys and wizards both have a heal. even seekers got on a crappy one with the expansion, but clerics being the best healers in the game, can't heal during metal mage form? and to add insult to injury their hp is decreased on top of that. did anyone even play test these skills? why not disallow the heal over time heals and the aoe heals and allow them to use blessing of the purehearted [a skill that no cleric i know has found a use for] or wellspring surge? the idea of a cleric in pk is pointless. the sin attacks with aps are just disgusting. who's bright idea was it to include zerk on a aps weapon for a class that has high crit/damage? PK is dead....aside from a few enterprising individuals or a full r9+12 barb you play a psy or a sin to pk. why? cause there are sins with scrupulous morals that enjoy farming people for kicks, so to be able to defend yourself from overpowered stealth attacks you need to be one of these classes: psy, sin or barb. i would say tone down the tideborn but that leads to the next issue....
2. lazy gm's/code monkeys: As a fledgling code monkey i understand the intricacies of game design [fatal conflicts, coding issues, priority command resolutions]. you can't fix the classes because the original team of designers are no longer employed there. so what's a guy to do.....CHANGE THE BROKEN MIDWARE.......yes this means practically a complete overhaul but honestly are you just gonna keep trying duct tape to fix a leak? all these little anti sin additions are great [theater of blood was sin owned before] but until you redesign the concept to tone down the tideborn and aps dominance over channeling, whatever you do will be a stop gap measure.
3. scaled xp: it should not take you a year to gain a level. the goon glitch was abused and those without the moral strength to resist are all level 105. i personally quit the game during that time. so how does PWI reward those that abstained from cheating? [crickets echo]. make quests level specific with diminishing returns if you chose to do them past the level you are able to obtain the quest. for instance, quest x becomes available from level a-e. if you do it at level a you get 3% of your xp bar filled, for each level past you lose .5%. so if you decide to wait til level e to do the quest you will only get 1%. [you can tweak this of course, but this is just to explain]. the oht and culti's could be changed not to give xp but give a decent amount of rep and lots of spirit instead since those you'd want to remain open so they could be done whenever the character got around to it. this way even if you make the quests at level 100 plus give .5%, people will do them cause the can see an end [dangle the carrot in front the mule].
4. community care: you need GM's that aren't here for a paycheck. it is extremely frustrating to have an issue and plead for a gm only to find out there are none on. there used to be a way to call in an issue. you removed it. then you could talk online to a person, you remove that too. anyone with a lick of common sense will view this as disinterest. if you continually keep creating distance between you and your fan-base, why would we put food on your plate? no interaction eventually boils down to no money going in the game. MMO's aren't supposed to last forever, i get that. if you are trying to keep the party going however, you can. I know personally 50+ qualified people [understand the game, hold a college degree, certified in conflict resolution] who absolutely love the game because of what they remember and what it could be and that would be GM's for free. i convinced about 20 of them to apply. not even a thank you for submitting your application, blah blah blah...... was sent. people post on forums all day. but giving us a place to vent without any follow up is simply a means of placating someone with an issue. that may work on kids and even adults that act like children, but for the rest of us.......we see you. you're not fooling anyone. at this point i play when i am getting ready for bed or have nothing [and i do mean NOTHING else to do. is that what you want?
5. server accessibility: this one is big. the market is uncontrolled [big mistake] so greedy merchant and scams are overly abundant here. way more so than in any other game i've played. because of this the economies of different servers are at different inflation levels. e.g. item x cost 3x as much on server a as it does on server b. this in turn restricts you from moving you account to a different server if your lifestyle changes [work/school schedule, you moved cross country or any other real life event] that would alter your playing time. end result? people leave when the events the are interested in no longer fits into their schedule. who wants to take forever to level a toon only to not be able to play the events because of the time the are given? i used to live on the west coast, now that i am in new york i find that doing an event means staying up late during a work/school night so i don't get to do them as much anymore [which is why i play before bedtime]. even if you had to put a charge on the cost of moving an account you would find doing so will only help increase the interest since now you could pick a server based on your needs and move it when your schedule demanded it. in other words, fix the market so players can travel.
these are the main issues i have come up with after conducting over 100 surveys with players off-line [both active and non-active]. i have all the contact info for these players and am willing to share any and all information gleaned from the results. the opening question was has the game gotten better or continued it's decline. the answer: no, the game has not gotten better and aside from those that enjoy bullying people or don't care about pk and events and tw and....well, basically aside from those that don't care about a thriving game community, the game is already dead. once enough of my friends on here leave i will be leaving too. i invested hard core but because i wanted a challenge [i didn't r9+12 a psy or sin] i find i have no chance in events or pk against someone who did. so no pk, no leveling [my main toons are all at 102 w/o goon glitch], no events. my friends are what keep me here but more and more of them leave each day so very soon...no me.0
