Crossover Error with new expansion

Hello everyone,
I had made a thread about an error occurring when I launch PWI: Descent with a Mac on Crossover Games. I hardly managed to update the client (because of the "touch anything and I freeze" bug...), but I got the 612 version now, and whenever I try to launch the game I have an Error R6034, which is about a Windows Visual C++ error it seems.
Here's what it shows:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error !
Program: C:\Perfect World Entertai..
R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
On the thread I made, I got answered to download Visual C++, and I found it along with 2 equivalents for Mac and Windows/Mac/Linux. My questions are: Is that the right way to fix my problem? Did anybody have the same issue and did you manage to fix it?
Also, if it's just about installing one of those softwares, do I have to install exclusively Visual C++? Can I install it directly with Crossover Games or do I have to use another way?
Thanks a lot for reading my issue, and thanks even more if you have a solution for this.

Just another bump, but adding an update to my unsolved case.
I installed Visual C++ 2008 (found out I could install applications with CrossTie in my bottle, anyway) and Visual Advanced blabla...
And it still doesn't work, same error R6034 occurring..!
My friend is in despair as he cannot play and level forward without me x)
Anyone got a solution ?
Thank you0 -
No idea what's wrong... Still won't work.0

Bump /o/ And also...Sashimi - Lost City wrote: »Got it all working for me - with minimal "crud" installed. I am running Linux Mint Debian Edition - tracking Debian Testing, but it should be applicable for those running crossover or wine in different Linux distribution.
First, shifted over to Wine 1.4 rc3 from 1.2.3, because I had issues with the auto-patcher. The auto-patcher will crash a lot, so be careful with it - they changed the code in it to require single threaded apartment, which wine won't allow it to do, so it often hang. The trick seems to be to not move mouse around or touch the launcher until the "Start" game button appears, to avoid it hanging.
So without further ado-
* Install a new wine instance (recommended)
* Use winetricks to install the following:
d3dx9 vcrun2005 vcrun6 vcrun6sp6 ie6 gecko
* Shift *msvcrt under winecfg -> Libraries to be "builtin, native"-
* Install the game and patch it
At this point, I can login to the game, but everyone is invisible - as many others have had problems with, both in Windows and Linux.
The solution is to run the directX installer - winetricks seem to miss something that is required. If you have a modern winetricks, then you can find that directx redist under:~/.cache/winetricks/directx9/
The file is called directx_Jun2010_redist.exe, run that, unpack it at a convinient location and run the dxsetup.exe.
I am now able to login and I can see everyone.
An alternative guide by amyrlaen - this was the one that clued me in that winetricks was missing something from DirectX9
I went ahead and added the aforementioned Winetricks packages and also ran the directX installer and did the dxsetup.exe following the directx_Jun2010_redist.exe unpacking. Still not able to see toons, mobs, or NPCs.0
