lol if u threw 350$ at it and ur only 2.0 ur clearly doing something wronge. i watched my freind use 250$ to get 2.86 and he hasnt even farmed his nv legs yet(wich hes doing next 2x drop) not to mention almost everyone agrees that some sage skills r DEFFINETLY worth haveing.
if u want a class thats cheaper to get aps for then make a bm and go demon. but either way ull still hae to farm alot(like i did) or put a decent amount of cash into it. and if ur farming by killing mob after mob itd just be easier to run bhs and hope for excitment/exctasy cards. or at least run cube and sell the PoF.0 -

It honestly sounds like you are simply giving up too easily and not wanting to make any effort whatsoever.
Olba said merchanting is not hard, but that is not to say that it will be handed to you on a silver platter! You do have to make some effort at it like Olba described... tracking prices, making sure you aren't selling at a loss, etc.
Your other option is to find a "sugar-daddy"! b:chuckle
Not everyone gets the hang of merchanting. Get over it. It's not "easy". If it were, everyone would do it and it wouldn't work for *you*. People who can't get a handle on merchanting in this game are not losers who don't pay attention, or are too lazy to try.

Um... just because someone fails to understand it doesn't mean it's hard.
Fact is, the things that you need to do be a successful merchant are very few. Common sense, knowledge of the appropriate fees, e.g. the 2% fee in Gold Auction and a teensy wee bit of middle school math will do.
And I'd have to disagree. I won't call those people losers, but certainly they don't pay attention and/or are too lazy to try. Which says a lot considering that majority of merchanting and the whole point of merchanting is to get coins without playing the game.
And really, I see people suggesting the weirdest of alternatives for merchanting. Some people seem to think that they need to get an APS character to 5.0 and then farm their way to glory. Well that's got at least two problems: 1. getting to 5.0 2. everyone has already done it, so you need to go further to stand out and succeed at it.
As for specific solutions? The last few items that I've merchanted have been: Tempest Packs, Cosmic Packs, Tiger Packs, Easy Rider Packs and 1* orbs gotten from buying and opening Dragon's Fire Packs. I've sold them at profits of about <10% most of the time, preferring to be the cheapest or almost cheapest shop in the immediate vicinity. I have also made excellent profits with Perfect Chests, Rep Badges, Mysterious Chips and the 4.5 silver 1* Dragon Orbs.
Also, my shopalt is named OlbaShop and most of my catshops follow that moniker, e.g. Olba's Packs, Olba's Perfects, Olba's Orbs or Olba's Reputations.
There you go, I just listed exactly what I have bought, sold and for roughly how much. As for how much I've made out of that? Well... somewhere over 100m profit, between November and today. Also, since my catshop is pretty much evident to being me, anyone who knows me is perfectly free to follow exactly what I sell, when, for how much and how well I am doing. In fact it's so obvious that I have at least two people on my FL who are well aware of my catshop, one of them regularly leaving a note on my shop. Not to mention that I've had factionmates from old factions turning into regular customers, some of whom have PMed this assassin asking whether I'd have a deal for them on some item they want, e.g. reputation badges.
And before you say that what I've said here is far too vague to be of any use: I once told a faction mate exactly what they should merchant and at exactly what price to make profit at the amount of funds they had. I've also accepted "donations" from friends, where I take some sum of coins from them and return it with appropriate profits later on.
Now go troll somewhere else before I start shoving Ten Million Big Notes up your nose.

Not recently, consistently nor necessarily packs. The <10% covers everything that I've merchanted in the past 3.5 months or so. Pretty sure the highest marks has been from opening Dragon's Fire packs.
The 7-10% markups have mostly been due to odd gold spikes, competition overpricing or gold spiking after maintenance.

I dunno what the problem is. My sin for 20 levels took the shades and ever since 89+ i have ended up pulling aggro off of whatever tank and ended up tanking bosses. Solo the first boss just fine. second is eh, but i only have 4.7k hp and mediocre gear.0

Where to start...
1) No trolling intended.
2) Nowhere did I say it was "easy"! In fact, I said that it requires a little effort, but not much!
3) Nowhere did I call CritCat a loser.
4) Based on the evidence she presented (she made mistakes and lost money every time she got 10M) she, in fact, does not always pay attention.
5) Based on the evidence she presented (she just quit because someone undercut her) she, in fact, is not willing to make the effort required to make coins via merchanting or even selling heads. Of course, like Olba and I said before... the effort required is really very little.
6) I did offer some very specific advice: Stop giving up so easily and be willing to put just a bit more effort into it! Where I come from, that's also known as "encouragement"! Good coaches do it. Good teachers do it. Good managers do it. It works!
7) You are the one who began throwing around words like "lazy" and "loser." And you call me a troll?0 -

You spam Windshield as you attack? I HAVE it, but really, it overwrites sage spark, and spamming it renders your genie useless for other, more useful things. You will eventually run out of energy as well. Therefore, I don't consider it part of my APS, even if it DOES speed my attack up.Things said during a Twizted faction PK session:

Lessee...
Of course, being a complete ******* is part of my success. In fact, 90% of my regular customers are hardcore masochists who beg me to tell them how much they fail at life for actually buying my stuff and not buying Gold instead. What did you expect?
And of course I couldn't have started that way, that part was a result of being mildly annoyed at people being all whiny about no one pointing to actual solutions, when they do.
And the point of mentioning my own shop by name was to, again, bust the "merchants don't want competition" myth. I have literally had people PMing this very assassin asking about things on my catshop. I also have enough forum presence that some people recognize me from that. So if anything, I have no secrecy at all to what I do.
And of course I am a little bundle of joy and happiness. What did you expect?
And honestly, it does get a bit annoying when you have absolutely clueless people talking about how hard merchanting is. I have literally been told by someone that I have to be a cashshopper since I got Rank 8. And that was before I got Nirvana leggings or Nirvana dagger or started saving up for an interval tome. So far no one has presented me a proper reason as to why they couldn't merchant. Every single reason has always had a simple solution: If you can't keep up your PC all night, then merchant during the day. If you don't have the funds, find someone who does and ask if they could help you out. If you don't have the knowledge, ask around for it, people will share.

Wow, sure is a lot of anti-Olbaze in this thread.
And to be honest, with the aps nerf bringing down 5.0 aps to 4.75 in terms of dps, spamming windshield is becoming even less effecting for a sage sin (assuming it's a 4.0 --> 5.0 wind shielding).
Tangling Mire + Frenzy + EP, any combination of the two, or even all three, are better alternatives to spamming wind shield.
Why? With just two of those genie skills, the DPS you get at being 4.0 would probably do the same, if not more, than 5.0 wind shielded.
That's just my take on the whole 5.0 wind shield spamming.[SIGPIC]Octavia is best pony[/SIGPIC]

If the Accuracy thingy is fixed to be what genotypist described, e.g. missing 1 out of every 5 hits, then the only advantage of being 5.0 will be the chi gain, since you do gain chi for misses. And personally, being that I'm a survivability-type, I'd take the small loss in damage and keep the chi gain rather than not. Because really, the extra immunity you gain should be worth more than the gains you'd get from swapping armors. Mostly because even if you get more Defense Levels, you just cannot compare that to the safety of immunity.
And I have no clue what the hell am I going to do with my genie when I get Pan Gu, Creator. Guess I'll have to experiment with Frenzy, since my genie is mostly Magic. Though that'll probably have to wait until Sage Subsea.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.

I guess I missed the part where Olba was condescending or degrading at all to the OP.
While you were trolling Olba about being condescending and degrading to those who don't think like him, you are being condescending and degrading (and probably vulgar depending on what those asterisks are covering) because he doesn't think like you.
Congratulations, you have proven yourself to be a hypocrite.
Honestly, if the OP was not offended by Olba, why are you?
I hope OP took Obla's advice to heart and makes a good little fishie of him/herself. There is a lot to be learned from folks like Olba, Empu, Saku, etc. (don't be offended if I didn't mention your name directly) and from the discussions they get into whether they agree with each other or not.0 -

Only problem is that Tangling Mire has 60 secs cooldown
Extreme Poison has 50 energy usage(And 600 Stamina usage Vs 150)
And Frenzy has 75 energy usage.
They are surely better for spike damage e.g. Nirvana bosses that dies in 1-2 sparks, but for longer duration(Like soling TT),but in the long term I can get more DD output from Wind Shield than those 3 above.

Personally, I have used Tangling Mire and EP with Windshield until now. I often start with the following:
Rib Strike -> Spark -> Inner Harmony -> Mire+EP -> Power Dash -> Windshield -> Auto attacks.
With the nerf, and me becoming 4.0 base in the near future, I might drop Windshield off of my genie completely. Sadly, there really isn't any good replacement, especially to combine with EP and Mire, due to energy constraints. For example, Frenzy would bring the cost up to about 170, whereas my Genie only has 145.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze.
