How can you not do things that a decently geared 9X sin of either culti can do? You say you can't even tank the first boss of FC and yet an 8X sin with some decent gear and a clue of how to play their class can tank a full FC.

Im in this situation, 2.22 base aps, I need nirv pants + g13. But lol, no one wants me in a nirv squad so how the hell Im suposed to farm my nirv pants? I tried to do 2.22 squads but:
1. Its hard as ** to get a full squad + cleric
2. Its slow as hell + lots of times died.
3. Sometimes a full run doesnt even give us 1 canny each, and that sucks...

I thought buying charms and soloing FF -> selling big room wasn't worth at all, but lol I think its my only possibility to farm my sht. And another problem is the time, I have maybe 2-3h a day to play. If all goes right I can do 2 FF's.

Do you think its my only possibility? Cuz Im sick of doing FF's.

Friends and faction. I had no aps toon at all at the time I farmed my pants. But my friends were moe than happy to have my veno along for debuffs and chests/adds. No full 5.0 runs ofc, we mostly run with our trusty barb and other people.
Besides that I made cash from BH and stuff and bought cannies at the 2x prices in a catshop on another account :P

And here I am, a 3.33 +6 Sage Sin with all but 3 Sage skills either learned or in books, without ever having spent a cent on the game, nor ever having played more than a few hours a day.

Note: Originally, I went Assassin because I thought paying 75m for a Heaven Shatterer was too much. And here I am, having spent probably 500m coins or more on this char.

Also, I do note consider myself a highly successful merchant, since I've repeated the same pattern of getting to some sum of coin, then buying expensive gear and complaining about having nothing to do for months.

As for what I know I can solo: Every single BH up to 89 with cleric buffs and at least Seat with barb and cleric buffs. Probably could do Abaddon as well, but it's bothersome to try.

Of course, not a day goes by that I don't realize how much money I might've farmed if I had a Demon sin instead. Doesn't mean I really want to change culti or to roll a Demon sin.

This topic sounds like a troll to me. Either that or the OP simply fails at merchanting.

Also: Core Connect says that I leveled an Assassin to 10 on July 24th, 2010. Meaning that I've been playing this char for 1.5 years now.

Also: You being 2.0 as Sage is equal to being 2.86 as Demon. Trust me, 2.86 isn't that good. And the money you probably put into the 2.0 Sage (TT99 wrists, boots, TM69 cape, Rank 8) could only get you a 3.33 BM. A really bad one at that.

That's it.

Nothing more than PK. Killing another player. Even then, you can still be out-classed by someone higher level than you, and as an added plus, trying to kill a Rank 9 +5 or above HA class is impossible without triplesparked 400 crits-in-a-row.

I'm 4 base and don't want in on the overly common 2.22-4, non aps, and caster Nirvana so I have to wait for 5aps squads. -b:cry

If you got all the benefits of being 5.0 w/o being 5.0; there'd be little point to being 5.0. If you're expecting charity; you're better off on the street begging for cash then using it to CS. And for all the whining people do about how hard it is to farm coin; I see less than 1 in 15 actually make any effort to pick up some drops anymore; even less for coins. Go into a heavily farmed area like BQ mobs and just hold the pick up button. At 2.22; Mystics and Venos are out performing you in FF so there's little point in fronting like you're a superior APS toon.

It is a Sage Assassin.
The APS is 2.0
And it is Rank 8.

At level 100 with Rank 8 and a few other APS items, you can reach 3.33 APS and 4APS if you can afford Pan Gu or Love: Up and Down tome.

Now let me get this straight. Unless you are a mafia member who can manipulate the market of PWI with one hand, a rich gai/gurr with tons of monies, or japanese/chinese and can sit there for 12 hours a day killing mobs over and over and over, you will never create a successful sage assassin.

Don't say that just because YOU don't have good gears and cannot solo FCC or BH's.

LOL, even my sin at level 82, with average gears, soloed Shades and tanked 1st boss of FCC.

And, it is possible to reach level 100, get nice gears, etc. etc. without using a single cent. in the game.

Although with that said, perhaps you could roll a class other people won't hate you for now, since you appear to be hating your sin.

lol, my 99 sin has 2.22 base, how do you have rank 8 but still only 2.0 base? Sounds pretty poor to me. Sage sins rock, just need more investment than demon to reach higher aps that's all.

I'd even consider changing my culti to sage once I get celestial demon and my gear sorted...

Probably has TT99 wrists and boots, a Wraithgate cape, but no Nirvana leggings or TT99 ornaments. Or has the ornaments but no cape and leggings.

Demon being cheaper isn't necessarily a good thing. I think we've all seen at least a few 5 aps Demons who walk around with 4-5k life or have +3 refines on their gear. But that has less to do with most of the players being idiots who use their coins in the wrong way. For example, if I had gone Demon instead of Sage, I would have never bought Barrier Thorn: Nirvana, nor would I have spent about 100m on skill books. If I had gone Demon instead of Sage, instead of being a +6 3.33 with 6.5k HP, I'd most likely be +10 4.0 with 7.5k hp, or +10 5.0 with 6.5k.

I think because our server got too many of the fails. There's some really really good claw barbs out there but the most you meet are just.. low refined, cheap gear, can't tank for ****. b:surrender

Well I dunno, apparently people don't like them. Friend of mine went from 5.0 BM to 5.0 clawbarb after he figured that a barb was more useful due to buffs.

I think because our server got too many of the fails. There's some really really good claw barbs out there but the most you meet are just.. low refined, cheap gear, can't tank for ****.

Tank? The only thing I expect of a barb is to buff and pull. Though, a Seeker is a better pulled due to Defense Levels and the buff isn't that amazing.

Wow u are either epicly noob or epicly fail lol. My lvl 94 sin can solo fc and most bosses. Plain and simple u are doing something wrong if u cant solo fc at ur lvl. what did u spend 200$ on? had to have been packs or fashion. Make a new toon and dont post on forums that ur fail at it. Core on this account says I had done 1,000 Unique quests in 09... and yet also says I didn't get 50 quests done til 2010.


Your forum date on that sin is enough to say it's been here for a good deal of time but the fact remains that what you described at the start of the topic is simply you being horrible at the class and not something to do with culti.

thats quite stupid.
Bms can DD way better than a barb even if barb can spam bestial onslaught.
Only reason why a bm would make a barb is coz they have **** hp.

I've been 1.82 aps when I hit 100(2.0 with Hook and Thorn but lol),I didn't spend 200usd,only 72 for R8(Which gives a pretty good starting point I admit).

I didn't had a tome.
I didn't had 99 gears.
I didn't had nirvana pants.

A fresh lv.100 fish with 9x gears.

Then I did this:

- Farmed TT/Nirvana <- wow

Now Im 5.0 with a G13+10 and most +5/7 rest.
And it took me uhm....."just" 6 months.

And you're 2.0 after 3 years? you've been doing something wrong miss.
