This is a video I recorded on New Years, about how Autism affects me.
Randomness included.
(yes, i'm 16 and I got a teddy bear, b:cute problemz? lol)

I'm wierd to a lot of people, but I like being wierd :o I wanted to raise awareness of Autism/Aspergers, and how being an Aspie makes me different to everyone.

    b:victory I am an aspie as well. and i only found out last august!! I've got only a mild case. Wish i could view vid but on a pc that cant even run youtube right now! i'm bookmarkin it for another day.Weird im 16 aswell XD. School life is terrible :/.

    Autism affects people in different ways, and can unlock hidden talents (like my freelance art). Who knows, you might find yours :)

    No, but my brother and little cousin has ADHD. My bro grew out of it but my cuz is 8 years old :) I'm the only one.

    That was a sweet video and to be honest I had heard of Autism but I never had the chance to read about it. Because of the name that is very similar to a greek word (most likely has its roots there) I kept having a different image of it in my mind.

    I find people with "disorders" impressive because this teaches us that we can always fight beyond the "problems" we may have, that we're all unique and we can always turn something that initialy seems negative into something positive and for our advantage. Our true strength relies in our will and for as long as we believe in something, we will manage to accomplish it.

    Be proud of yourself and for who you are!

    As for the teddy bear...who cares? I'm 19 and I still sleep together with my stuffed animals b:chuckle

    Hell, Desdi, I'm 20 and I have all my stuffed animals on display and I even have a stuffed tiger at my boyfriend's for when I spend the night. b:chuckle

    And Es, I'm glad you embrace your aspergers. sometimes things like that can destroy a person, but only the bravest people stand up and make it work for them like you did~

    One of my ex boyfriends (still a current friend) has aspergers and autism. The relationship was kind of difficult because he couldn't never read my body language or facial expressions. :c

    You certainly are very strong and honest, and also very brave to make that vid :) Also you certainly are a beautifull and unique person! ^^

    I don't personally know any autistic people or aspies, but a friend of mine has pdd-nos. I do recocnize some things like not being able to focus if too many people are talking to you ;)

    And I'm 19 and still can't/refuse to get rid of my stuffed dolls >:O :D

    I even went and bought a stuffed lamb that smells of lavender cause of you lot! Time to add to my collection.

    I have that too.. with mny current bf, I cant read what he wants to do while we're out together. Awkward at times, but we're getting there :)
    I would reccomend, to see how autism is portrayed in relationships, to go and watch a film called Adam - with Hugh Darcy as the main character. Its a great portrayal of how autism can affect a fully grown man.

I moved to another part of the NE when I was little, then after my parents broke up I moved around for a while before going back to my dad. Hence, I picked up a load of accents, and they got blended together o.o

    I recently got officially diagnosed with Asperger's.

    (Yes I did just came back to say that)

    It only took over 20 years for someone to first realise it and that person was me.

    Drazo :o I did think you shared some of my characteristics when we were in the same faction.. Dyna or Tempest I cant really remember.
    It was really frustrating for my parents to actually find out what was, er, 'wrong' with me. they went through at least 5 psychiatrists until they cracked I had Aspergers, official diagnosis for me was in 2004 when I was 9 years old b:surrender.

    I actually did think of maybe doing a mini project: Project A. The basic thing is, you make a video, on how being an Aspie makes you unique, then get other people with autism to make a video, and link them all together in a kind of matrix of videos.
