Old days of Dreamweaver

I was just bored and was thinking about the old days of Dreamweaver, the good ole days aye? Who was the first person to get to lvl 100? I remember when Lucretius got to lvl 101 and everyone was in awe. The old Calamity members staying up nearly whole day just to get a few extra levels, now you got these new players leveling to 101 comfortable in like just 3 weeks, so sadb:sad

I remember BloodPact, Coalition, Armagedon (one d), Dynasty, I even remeber that Psy(something) faction attacking a top faction holding land and taking it (due to no show though XD). The Legend Seraphim dueling with another wizzy in S Arch and giving advice. Me and _Cloud_ leader of Dynasty killing them pyth mobs together. chezedude trying to be like DrAgOOnZ, sorryb:surrender

How hard it was trying to kill quest bosses, whole squad wipe with Jewel then trying again and another wipe. But you laughed about it, not serious, it was just fun. I miss itb:cry

well from what we see on LC we can easily see cheze being much better than dragoonz ever was,
in fact dragoons had the same image as some assasin today has
    all gear and no skill

    - why who are you? ;o

jewelscalen was liek OMG you gotta need a HIGH LVL barb and like 5 Clerics
and WOW there he was the super high lvl 60 barb, and his weapon was shiny green

upon the second attempt we managed to kill jewel, only loosing 2 clerics lifes ;o

I have to agree on Jewelscalen. b:chuckle

Thanks to him I got into my last faction on PWI in general. Even sin's fast DPS it was still very difficult to kill him. We had two wipe outs as well, hehe. Even with high lvls, we could end up dead by Quinqzi (or whatever is his name XD) and burst into laughter. But what I miss most is good old helping to each other. With ability to buy out sins to clear up the all the way to FC heads and those Rep badges getting Rank9 or something gear, it is catastrophy.

It was very big thing to see Cala or EQ in TT gear, for that matter. And... those two even used to cooperate when helping low lvls such as me. But I guess there is no point to mourning. As I hear, same ***** happens to all other servers. I remember when the biggest problem was about lowering DQ prices, and not all this mumbo jumbo. b:surrender

Qultor (cleric) was first person to 99, progrinder was about 96 at the time.. Q quitted and som1 got 100 first.. forgot who..

first person with nix/herc for venos = kolgen_man.

First TT60's I believe was amarah and oQ_Qo ( venos)

first barb to succesfully tank jewelscalen i Believe was Zeldor( 49 or 50)

    First R8 wiz Pedestrian.

first 102's was TieulongNu and swordman, by spamming delta's all day long.

Dunno first fist bm ( not high aps, was long before packs), of what i remember.

first barb to hit 20k hp was probably steukbarb.

First cleric to have 10k base hp i believe was ArchAngel

First Faction to kill Sword tamer ( wb) is Calamity ( 11th may 2009)

lol i remember seeing this cala eq pk fest at OT, i thought it was a tw, i was low lvl like lvl 30. Then Priscilla came walking towards me, i shat my self and used my bm speed to run away. I wasn't even in pk mode lol.

    I remember 3hour tt's.

I remember how the player base was much more friendly then.

I remember how we use to have a barb and cleric to finish a fb.

I remember how awesome it felt when i got my first mold.

I remember how awesome it was to think of your role model player as a god.

I remember how my first tw felt.

I remember defeating all odds as a sword bm (lol) when i tanked pole without dying and keeping aggro.

I loved how people use to say you can't do it only to minutes later proving everyone wrong.

I remember how you use to grind so hard just to make a lvl from lvl 40.

I remember questing together with friends that don't even play the game anymore.

Man, I am not even that much of an old player but I remember seeing Cheze around and then going all like lsgkhdsglsd;gjdlgjksalgjfdgjfksdl. I had just hit like 20 something in level and had to Arch when I started seeing all those Cala members with frickin' gear that I wanted xD. I feel that the older days of PWI were more challenging and definitely more fun. I still find it hard to get to 100 'till this day and although it's a lot easier but nobody needs venos anymore as it seems. Cleric's importance seems to degrade with each expansion. I had just done a full Delta yesterday with my faction and I gotta say I almost forgot how challenging it feels when you do an instance that takes 1+ hours nowadays. I remember when I saw this cleric with a Sinrabansho and all nirvana gear and shetting bricks. Now lots of people have r8 and nirvana... It's not an AMAZING or breath-taking seeing anyone with amazing gear anymore...

i remember doing tt2-2 for our gear
the barb missed to cancle a wulord magic attack and died
i tanked the boss till it was dead with my wizzie

everyone in squad was like wtf

it took ages ...and my poor charm

somehow i was both, dirt poor and 24/7 Hp charmed since lvl40~
dunno how i managed that ( i didnt even know how to open cash shop, or think about it)

i was one of the bad wizards, those you didnt want in your squad
took aggro from barb (when i was able to) on purpose cause i wanted to tank D:<
when bms said "i tank" i said to myself "try it" and kept aggro
i didnt die doing so, since i was always charmed- the clerics had time to heal me ;O
BMs failed so much back then it wasnt even funny ;o

Thats a troll right Heartz ? when Zeldor was 50 probally TuGanZa and myself ***** jewel a few times alrdy.... For a Fact I renember when I was 81-82 Seraphim made me solo Jewel for the low lvls many times , because he thought killing bosses would bring calamity a good reputation. Just as Regenesis nowadays do boss days for there rep.

While it is true that Sera's first boss day was all about rep - the reason we still do them to do this day is because in a game that is so one-dimensional right now our members actually enjoy it and they drive our decisions to give something back to the server. Sorry if this doesn't fly with your outside perspective of things.

What is sad and I think a reflection of the game's health is in the early days of boss day the amount of "traffic" at bosses was crazy. Nowadays, as people have pointed out in other threads, the desolate starter towns and fc alt runs have meant many players just don't do any but a few culti bosses they have to. It makes for much more sitting around and waiting for people needing the bosses killed when we have our boss hunts but it won't stop us from doing them.

    hehe, good old days of:
    - meeting at Sundown Town for TW.
    - buying gold HP charms for TW for 350k (money made 30 min before TW grinding on air mobs near town)
    - listening to Seraphim's speech in vent 30 min before TW
    - going into TW with my Ancient Arbor - felt like "king of the world" , lol.
    - being able to teleport anywhere on map with faction teleport
    - grinding butterflies on esoterica for hours and hours...
    - grinding fishes for hours and hours...
    - doing Gamma with BaldwinBoy and Triton as only AoE DD, laughing my *** off for 3 hours - those 2 together were like gasoline and fire.
    - dueling with ProGrinder when he got his green TT99 crossbow at +7(i guess?) and being happy I can survive 3 hits, lol.
    - Running FB 39 with ProGrinder, Qultor ... and can't effin remember the name of that german wiz...damn, sry
    - O.O at CHILLI TT90 gold magic sword, first on server I think, that thing was awesome.
    - tanking mantavip for whoever needed it once I figured I could do it.
    - dying to DoD while trying to pull mantavip (no genies back then).
    - Killing chezedude in TW...before he started to get epic gear.
    - getting killed by chezedude when he got his HS...
    - got my +10 ☆Neon Purgatory starting to 1 shot cheze on crits (:P)
    - Getting cube neck, warsong belt and 2 lunar rings to have Pdef to stand 1v1 vs cheze in TW ( irony: cube neck was actually made by him, still have it). I thought 9k HP and 12k pdef with lvl10 buffs were awesome stats...oh how I was wrong ... and useless when cheze's soul shatter proc'd.
    - BaldwinBoy telling me in vent if I die one more time he won't buff me 'cause it'll tick his MP charm. Manned up and didn't die at all the next 3 or 4 TWs, lol.
    - doing first warsong BH with Dragoonz, he was building chi on head...I was like " that can't be that hard". Aggro'd head with no barb/BM buffs and water shield up... and died in 2 hits.
    - consequently drooling all over dragoonz's gear.

... and the list could go on

First fist BM was Matthew I believe.

I remember EQ's first land, Elysium and Immortal's first land. Calamity's first land in a 84 minute showdown with Eris leading the pack at lvl 23.

I remember mailing everyone a 1% crit arrow on day two of the server, thinking I had found a gamebreaking innovation. By everyone I mean the 10 people in Calamity. :(

I remember the first three way gank, Immortal, Titans, and BP vs EQ and how much fun it was TWing on Muse's Veno (she couldn't make it).

First Oracle sale, and subsequently the first powerleveler Stony and VictoryPets competing for the top spot.

The rise and fall of Covenant, with all the Purepoison and Loyalty drama that ensued.

I remember Regincute and Gabriella telling me about bikinis and swim trunks how excited I was. Months later, our first takedown of Chi'in.

Dying to Jewscalen, proud I could tank FB19 and 29, burning potions on Mantavip, farming pages for lv 79 skills, praying for a Wheel of fate drop in fb39.

A lot of fun times with Zion and Tyranny. It seems barbs do it best.

Begging Progrinder and Dunno for rebirth gamma advice and being told that the way to beat it is to count your beans.

Failing and resetting every boss in a lvl 2 TW, after writing a 4 page draft on how to attack it. We got it though...somehow.

The players that crossed over with me from Sanctuary ages ago. minigod, Missbehaving, Lucretius, Dece, Starinah, Picaboo.

A TT 60 sword of my very own, which took ages to get.

An attempt at the first Sword tamer, resulting in a wipe, followed by another wipe, followed by picturesque success.

I remember Ursa, a small wizard always hiding in Catshop (and his brother Nrgy), who still runs the wizard lightshow today.

Finally I remember Phoenixes being way too overpowered. Amarah's sacrifice phoenix 1 shotting cata barbs too good I say. Too good.

Finally I remember Calamity forums and how active they were. The installation of arcade games caused some people to stop playing in favor of 3d pong and Baby Cal Throw. Reading 40-80 new posts per day with our picture thread having something like 8,000 views. Too many perverts!

A lot to remember, because most likely if you've been around for ages, I remember you and know a story or five.

Btw, is there any reason to return to PWI? I mean reasons like team play, PvE, helping others around in quests and stuff, running and panicking around while the Big Fat Drummer Boy in TT tries to smash you and bursting into laughter about it, with out everyone rushing to FC and R9 Gear?

I renember when this server was born and I first made this barb and Xarfox , the GM and a big fat panda which I dont renember his name were at the spawn point, thats the first thing I saw when I logged to the server lol.

I renember doing the first FB19 of the server, Jenushaid elf FB, highest lvl was 20 and lowest 16-17 , took us a while to do it....

I renember when we couldnt do FB19 untamed because it was too long, I even had to wine my fb19 LOL.

I renember TheTitans recruting on WC the first day of server '' Join Us we have a Herc ''

I renember when gold was 75k each the second day of server.

I renember when there were argues because of ppl stealing FB29 wined molds.

I renember when Elysium almost took the second last of server, I was the main tank, a lvl 44 barb, and we had boss down to 40 % when time ran out.

I renember when the next week we actually took the land, and Sissy raged and booted like 30 persons cuz they talked while he was talking.

I renember when I joined EQ and I was highest lvl there, a faction that only have 60 nembers back then and wasnt even lvl 3

I renember next day EQ was lvl 3 and had 150+ nembers

I renember how the second week of TW many faction that no1 expected to take the land manged to take it ( Armageddon, EQ, TheTitans.. and many others... )

I renember when MrLucky dropped his flyer * I think that was one of the first good PK drops back then, and think TuGanZa got it *

I renember falling asleep while tanking Astral at 2-3. was like a 3h TT so I was fuucking tired ... lol

But the thing I do renember / miss more is ... when PK used to be fun.....

I actually remember exactly what happened that TW. I'm pretty sure the reset wasn't completely your fault lol.

The archers/clerics wiped on mid boss because the clerics got manaburned and full Vit PG couldn't hold aggro lol. We got him up to 13k HP remember? We got Mavina up to 11k too when PG overslept.

He then ran in too early without Qultor BB or damage reduction charms and got us wiped inside base.

We also failed our first Holy path pull of the left lane boss that 1 shot everyone. And our second. Quite possibly the third too.

And my idea of tanking right lane boss with Barbs and Hercs didnt work either because he would stun, deaggro, reaggro on clerics and instagib them all. You probably reset this guy Ursa when you distance shrinked a bit too far.

With all the failures edited out, the results look a lot better.

lol, yeah, I remember the panic ... where the FFFF is PG?? allt he effort put into him restating full vit , hahaha, that was awesome.

the reflect boss kill was probably the most incredible idea. I remember actually taking all gear off so it won't shatter (except weapon), get bramble, run to boss and melee hit. Didn't took long to get boss attention and BOOOM, headshot. I think I have somewhere a printscreen with it, for a long time it was the highest hit I did to a mob, lol.

I know that "don't use any skills or it will reset" boss was down to about 75% HP when I pressed the "4"... I thought world colappsed on me when I realized what I did , lol.

Those were absolutely the most fun TWs. Taking down lvl 70+ mobs with Wheel of Fate +3 with 2 common saphire shard in it. And by those times standard, that was a kickarse weapon.
I remember Thia and another veno saying the did 100+ FB39 with the hope of a WoF drop, no luck. I got the mold drop on my FB39, I was soooo happy, even raise my BS skill to 3 to make it. I've seen it a while ago , someone took it to +7...for lulz I guess.
