You guys should:

Check if your internet connections are 100% fine, not just kinda fine(sudden freeze then back to normal is not fine).

Update graphics drivers, sound driver or whatever. EVERYTHING up to date

Got the language packs needed for this chinese game. Maybe a letter the computer can't read would crash it, who knows.


basically make sure your computer is 100% good and set up to run this old game...

Like Koolaid i never d/c or crash either. on my old pc i built in '01 OR my new laptop..... Don't u think if the server was unstable FROM DAY ONE like all u fools seem to imply considering these threads have NEVER stopped...... dont' u think i (or ANYONE i play with) would have by now? The only time this entire year there actuallyl WAS something wrong on PW's end was this spring in the DDOS attack....... Other then that the ONLY thing i've ever seen that's on PW's end is the server just being stupid when i go to swap toons and saying "user doesnt' exist" or w/e, and u have to relog.... big deal.

and FYI.... having all the latest drivers doesnt' mean it's still not a driver causing a problem. I updated the driver for my older vid card once for some reason.... on the desktop i built, and the pc kept **** up after that. I went back to the OLD driver like 6 months older or more... and everything was fine with that....

O ya... and don't get me started on the idiots that think catshops are what causes the lag in arch. ............................................

Also, I'd like to point out that this game's engine was designed on an old platform, to run on old operating systems. The fact that operating systems have advanced, and the game engine has not, has got to account for something, right?

I started seeing more crashes with the 9 Trials update (or maybe the update prior). It's almost always the same places, and more likely to happen on the ground than if I'm flying.

540, 645 or thereabouts is the place in Arch that irritates me the most and I'm hoping gets fixed. Porting into Tellus has gotten really bad, too.

I was hoping that newer patches and regular client verification would fix the crashes, but alas, it does not seem meant to be.

I'd file a ticket if PWE hadn't revoked my ability to do so (and since I can't file a ticket for my last Zen purchase issue [and live support is a joke, nevermind their phone number for billing issues], I don't see myself spending more cash on this game in the near future), just to add solidarity to those who are reporting the issue via ticketing.

However, from what I can tell, PWE never tells the devs what's affecting the playerbase, so it probably wouldn't do much good anyhow. b:surrender

if its just a once in a while crash id just ignore it but its not so, but its still a crash lol
