Totally agree.
It would be a extremely drastic measure but just imagine one sec, just quick.
Delete sins and we have a multiplayer game back.
You don't believe me ? Think about it, no sins would be :
- A lot less people would solo FC, sell heads, powerleveling would fade out. Are you kidding? You think BM's can't whip through FC and sell it? Ohh, it takes a BM what? 5 mins longer to just AoE everything?
- Barbs woudn't be so afraid to lose agro to a squishy who gets 2 shotted. Why should a barb be afraid of this? If a Sin goes all out and dies when he's not ready to tank or doesn't know how to manage, let him die.
- PvP would be more enjoyable (for those who do)
Psychics FTW
- Cube runs on a PvE server would be more enjoyable.Yep, I'll sure enjoy getting one shot in the face by that rank9 bow more now that sins are gone.
- NIrvana Squads would become "slower" and probably would get more people to go.All BM/Barb APS would take over to make up any difference
- People would actually work more together in most situations.See above
- We would have less QQing about OP sins, or those who "I skipped mobs in a bh, boss got me so bad...(frenzy mode)" things..

Those who cannot help themselves cannot be helped.
I personally have ground thru this game, bit by bit. If I can't do it, I don't do it.
There are options to alleviate things though.
Say you don't have 80mil to fork out for Lunar Glade cape (which is understandable, I paid half that for mine a while back), roll a character to lvls 60-80, and pay 4mil (500k per run) for Wraithgate Trophy Mode, and get the int cape or w/e. Then pay 15mil for Account Stash Stone. 19mil for int cape, that's half of even what I paid! Deuces.
Took me a long time to gear myself up on my BM. Endless days in TT at slow/fail aps with Gorenox FC 85 GREEN fists. And while the 2x has crashed the market in terms of mats... its still possible to farm lower TT's and sell for coin in order to chip the golds. I'm a prime representation of the decent gear you can achieve without opening your wallet.
I do agree that the prices of things are stretching themselves out too far. Those people who are willing to pay 25mil for a Diamond of Dragon just successfully inflated the cost of that item to 25mil. Soon someone will be desperate enough to pay 30mil and inflate it once again. And the cycle continues. And as much as I QQ and would love some precious def shards in my Nirvana gear, I'm endlessly happy paying 750k each for the immaculate shards I rock and I'll probably end up slowly sharding vit stones instead of def end game.
As far as some of the other stuff... Ikarium pretty much said it all. As a BM I can pretty much walk right thru FC. I do it every day with BM buff and BP, clericless. As a 5 aps bm tank, if anyone out DD's me and takes aggro and goes poof in the night. Not my problem. Release. I'm pretty sure they know what their getting themselves into.
The element of danger in PvP from someone you can't see is decently interesting. And while the standard sin tactic is pretty annoying (stealth, double spark, occult ice, aps)... I'd rather not see it coming, then be prepared and be one shot by +12 r9 wiz psy cleric w/e. Makes you rage lol
Nirvana without sins would take approximately 2-3 minutes longer, mayyyybe. BM after BM hf'ing would equate the damage lost by no sins. Heh heh.
I just rolled a sin for the fun aspect and to have additional keys for Nirvana... it's culti was quite easy.. and often I found random squads or a lingering soul in the area who needed the same thing. Maybe on less populated servers like the new Euro ones it might be a problem. But I've never found it to be.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Oh, and the simplest reply is that if you're reading this and preparing to reply... you're not in TT farming coins. Less QQ more pew pew.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

But should a online game be forced to make a squad of "rejects" to get things done ? Go in a bigger faction ? Nah, I will stay ni my little one with no drama thank you, even if I can get barely no help.
Few logical fallacies that keep cropping up in the posts nowadays, might as well address them.
Many of the people who are APS, have been playing for 3+ years on their server. They were the "poorer" people who gathered herbs/merchanted/farmed old style TT runs to make the money they currently have. Honestly, this usually comes off the same as hyper people wanting their xp faster. It takes time to build up coin, just because the level is now handed on a silver platter, doesn't mean the coin will be either. Chances are if someone spends the same amount of time, doing the same things as the older players, they will have similar amounts of coin.
Taking the cast-offs to do their own non-APS runs is considered making a squad of "rejects"? And the solution, is to make the current APS classes rejects as well, to do runs with a squad of rejects. Yes, this makes perfect sense. But only if you're arguing to never do a Vana in any way, shape, fashion, or form. Otherwise it's just a really bad excuse.
The people in factions are there for ease of getting things done, and being with friends. There will usually be drama, it's the trade-off for being in a large faction. By choosing to be in a smaller faction you avoid the drama, and also the ease of getting things done. If you choose to make it harder to get things done, not getting things done is pretty much your fault.

Today i was bored. REALLY bored. So i went to hell and took a solo task quest from Nibu Ru (Don't give me that look... i'm still sane). I go out there and kill 60 wandering demonic ones, which took me like, uhm... about 30 minutes, i didn't check the exact time. I come back and get 3 reputation and a celestone fragment. Now, even the greatest boredom is not going to make me do THIS again. I'd like to ask the developers what would be so hard about increasing the rewards for this. Make the reward 50 rep, some exp/spirit and some mirage celestones (or whatever other item you prefer there is alot of useful items) and see how many people would start grinding in heaven/hell again. I'd rellay like to know what would be so hard about that...
Alot of people claim that this game is boring and has not enough content. Thats wrong, this game has more than enough of content, it's just that a good part of it is either broken or so totally not worth doing that nobody would bother with it. The solo task is just one example. Take the deathmatch arena as a another one, if you like.
This game is beyond repair? Hell, no. I can think of many ways to bring life back to the game, at least partially. Make more attendance sheet rewards and more quests that give sheets as rewards. Better rewards for PQ3, Justice Quests, solo tasks, BHs. Revert FC and TT back to their old forms. Lower aps cap, nerf sins and psys in pvp, revamp the deathmatch arena, maybe a system that rewards high levels for helping lower levels with quests... I could think of more. Maybe not everything would work as intended but there would be plenty of ways to make the game more interesting. But as long as the developers and the managers of the game aren't willing to put some effort into it, all we can do is to mentally resists the game's pressure... the pressure to make an APS DD asap and spend the rest of our gaming life farming instances 24/7....0 -

It's definatly imperfect. Seriously it's not the content it's the community. Yes I could find friend by joining big factions. Do big factions care new members that are poor or help. I doubt it, if there is helpful must be like 0.000000001% of community. The community is greedy as the bankers in real life.b:laugh. About getting help... Maybe it is server dependant. I had a lot of help on my way, some of it from my faction of course, but a lot from strangers too. I hardly ever needed more than 2 teles to get together a full squad if I had the wines. Likewise, I usually help everyone in need - either pming me or asking in WC, or just people in the area needing a boss.
Sometimes I am busy though, I am not going to quit a BH or FC immediately when someone whispers me for help. If someone can't wait for 10 or 20 minutes to get their culti done - bad luck.0 -
They even put in Nirvana for Arcane.. that shows you people look for APS most of the times for almost everything. Early in the days it was nearly impossible to get to 2.86 APS unsparked lol.
Now with all the CS, you are not welcome if you don't have at least 3.33 APS.
And for the barbs and clerics, they never get any thanks for pulling and healing in FC's or instances, when back in the day we were praising them. Now we are getting mad when we don't find 1. Where did all the patience go PWi? QQ0 -
When I remember PWI 2,5 Years ago and compare it to PWI 2011 its like ... oO...WTF... Is this rly the game I started a long time ago?
Example:
2,5 Years ago:
How to do a TT 2-3
Get a sqaud...search for people 1hour+...
Explain the noobs how to do this TT...
Let's do the run ... afk of people... done after 1-3 hours woohoo !!!
(In this time u had fun while talk to people in TS or ventrilio // chat)
Today:
Let's go for another day of PK with OP R9 gear.0 -
Why do ppl always act like it was soooooo much better before? I play 2,5 years +, and didn't notice a real difference.
Was it so much easier to get a squad for bosses? Fb ones yes, if you had tabs. Remember all those "failed fb19s", because nobody cared to tell the tabber to get the quest for the weapon, and then they needed mobs+boss but had no tab. Remember how everyone was busy with wq, and couldn't help out because they had to finish wq. Remember how you had to camp on bosses to get ppl to do them. Remember how there were always ppl trying to lvl as fast as possible, to join tw faction.
Most ppl asking for help, just want things done for them these days. Kinda funny, when they ask me for help with bh59, and I say "let me log on my veno, she needs that bh", all the sudden they don't need help anymore. Or when you randomly help on a boss, they start to beg for money or for powerlvl services.
I try to split my time between helping out, and stuff for myself. Helping out has been reduced to friends and faction only, cause of all the "brb smoke", whining about how they can't lvl at 65 without buying heads while they don't even know what pq is, etc etc. I also made it a rule not to help on bh or fcc with my high lvl characters, unless they are really "stuck" (half squad left or something).
Maybe another way to look at it : Ppl are not less helpfull, it's the ones who want/need help that want everything done within the minute they snap their fingers. It doesn't work like that, and never did. But I guess it's normal to idealise the past. When I ask my grandpa, 50 years ago everything was sooooo much better. But meanwhile, he loves the dishwasher, caravan, tv, internet, cellphones, and most of the modern stuff. Here is a little fun quote from some thread on sin forums, that goes the same way :Irae - Harshlands wrote: »*input related to topic*
That said, I looove running with R9 sins because its just sooooooooooooo OP. So, people who have the money will get R9 over G15 because its simply That much better.
I still feel that its ruining the game though
b:chuckle That is how most ppl think. They hate it so much to "play the game", they want rich ppl in squad to do things for them.0 -

I totally agree, I've been playing for more than about 3 years now, and I do agree that the players in the game have become pretty arrogant with big e-peens and greedy, but also new players are becoming more and more lazy and want high-levels to do all the work for them.
Also, it's particularly funny when non-aps people exclusively ask for aps people to join their squads for instances b:chuckle but of course not everyone does that.
On a side-note... what is this thread about again? *forgot*

I think it has to do with the new breed of players. Their goal sems to be to get to the top as fast as possible, no matter what, wich is why there are the FCC heads squads ( over and over again ) and the goons squads.
When you're in a hurry to get to the end of the game, two things are sure to happen:
1 - You'll miss the journey, therefore you'll skip the game content.
2 - You won't have time to help anyone ( or make any new friends )0 -

Ok first off i have to confess i have been less helpful recently but this is because i've started cracking the ****s with a good number of players i've come in contact with recently.... Mostly, admittedly, clerics.
The new generation of clerics are spoilt self entitled brats who don't understand the entire point of the class is to be helpful and not as it were the centre of attention and a little diva! Now don't get me wrong not all are egocentric little nutters but as i've been leveling up my sin the number of clerics who EXPECT to pay no wine fee and worse still EXPECT to get PAID to do a bloody bh is astonishing it's come to the point now if a cleric demands either i kick their *** from squad. Yes it's expensive being a cleric my main is a cleric so don't ***** to me about the cost of mana pots i did it already. And sorry the arguement "If i had to pay wine fees i couldn't afford to do bh everyday" is a load of **** get off your lazy *** and grind for an hour like the rest of us i used to miss loads of days because i couldn't afford it get the hell over it.
- ends rant before i reach into my screen and kill them all-
Point of rant was that one cleric even said to me if you want my heals you have to pay for it... now my main is a cleric and i play a cleric because i love helping people out ( in fact the whole point of my sin is to help faccies farm tt) so i was appalled at the attitudes of others and whenever i asked for help quite often i got people asking how much i would pay ... honestly kiss my *** and when ive gone and helped randoms on my cleric alot of people get angry with me for not helping "enough" im sorry if i just finished a whole tt for you which i didnt need and didnt take any drops from then i want to go have a drink dont ***** just say thank you.
I've come to the conclusion it's not so much the lack of help thats the problem its the lack of manners entirely which ruins it for me0 -

Generally speaking,
The level of appreciation from those requesting help these days drastically decreased from the good old days.
Helping? It seems more like begging these days. If not begging, expecting others to complete quests and acquire gear for them while they sit on their throne.
There are heavily built characters that swiped their credit cards beyond belief run around boasting and bragging becomes incredibly annoying.
Decked out / near end game/ end game characters that require your F2P players to team up with an entire squad and still fail at taking out a single person. OP? Maybe.0 -
