When i get stealth attacked by a sin, my SoR stuns them which gives me plenty of time to use Psychic Will, freeze and kill them. Just 3 buttons to kill sinsb:thanks0

Avoiding sleep for a sin is a walk in the park.
I'm telling you right now Focused+Maze+deaden+wolf buff in stealth then shadow teleport and your dead. Full buffed , with whatever buff your heart desires. I can guarantee 100%, knowing this combo but not knowing when I hit you don't stand a chance.
8k pdef? roflmao. That's nub pdef. Try 13k upwards to give a chance to your charm to tick.
But yeah, on topic: Stealth should be nerfed.

Well whether they are stunned or not, I dont get stunned because of the reflection, gives me plenty of time to use PW and defend myselfb:shocked so far i havent really gotten killed by any sin unless i was not buffed to max of course.
Plus the SoR absorbs the first hit so the sin becomes unstealthed from a failed attack, SoR is very important for a psychic0 -
ok, I don't want to go into the battle of "what if"s. A smart sin won't attk a full buffed Psy without necessary precaution. SoR will go away after 1 hit, sin has 2 stuns + immobilize. Start with immobilize - you SoR is gone - then stun. PW won't save you from water dmg, evern if you're imune to phys. Anyway, here we go deeper and deeper into a never ending "what if".

By the time my SoR is gone i have plenty of time to psychic will, water damage does little damage, 2 hits and I got them. If they do use a second stun (thogh many ins havent used it in time against me) then i can use my genie during the battle to avoid stunb:chuckle Maybe I am lucky or my server has sucky sins but I havent been killed by one following my method....ever0

your argument is that if u cant survive my attack (well not *my* attack.. a decently geared wizard) if u cant see me, why would u survive it if u can see me. Simply put, you see it coming, and have a chance to counter it.
Same with sins, if you see them double spark and start to get close to you, you have a chance to kite, domain, pop a pot, etc.
And it's not so much people get 1 shotted half the time, its that by the time that the server reacts to several hits by an aps character, you are already dead by the time the damage pops up on your side of the game. Like when it looks like I get 1shot, but looking at the damage screen I only got hit once for 2k or w/e. You just got hit 3-4 times and server took too long to catch up.

How is my arguement invalid? so what is your brilliant addition to this post? so far all I read out of this post is that its not so much a stealth problem but server lag.
And yea, you're a rank 9 wiz who could probably one shot any decently geared sin, which Im sure you would take full advantage of given the opportunity, I dont really see the complaint. I agree with the fact that shadow escape should take a spark, or dont, but definitely should not grant a spark. but thats all i agree with.0 -
I absolutely support this idea. Sins may complain that their class is squishy and needs stealth mode, but classes like wizards, mystics, psys, and some veno builds are squishy and have no such protection until much higher level. Those protections are still easily overcome by a sin's stealth.0

Make stealth work like tide form, blacks out all skills including interval attacks, making the only available option the stealth button itself to exit stealth mode. Remove spark and spark+ in stealth.....fixed...or at least it sounds good in theory
But Im not a pvp sin and that wouldnt effect me in the slightest. but it seems reasonable to me regardless having played pvp on other chars.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

The suggestion someone had about sins not being able to spark in stealth mode makes sense. But leave them their stealth, their survival depends on it. If people see them coming like any other classes, they will get torn apart once they are stunned0

1. I was just using my class as an example to prove that you can counter the sins attack if u can see it coming. You argued that if a person cant survive a stealthed sin attack that they wouldnt be able to survive it anyway if they could see the sin, which is false _. which made ur point invalid. I have no urge to play on easy-mode like sins, although I do have a 101 sin that I strictly use for farming, haven't pvped on it once because it takes no skill and it's boring.
2. you can't 1shot a sin (because of deaden nerves la + you can't hit what you can't see in the 1st place)
3. And yes part of the problem is server lag, that combined with stealth combined with aps makes the situation messed up. There is no quick fix, sin's need to be reworked on many levels. I haven't provided anything in my post to fix it because it's all been said before in hundreds of other posts from other threads, which people are just repeating here. Like force stealth taking a spark instead of giving one, not being able to use ANY spark or skill in stealth, reducing the effect time on some of their stuns or simply discarding a few of their many control & survival skills, people being able to see the sin if he's stealthed withing 20 meters or w/e of their character (wouldnt bother them much since they have two 30 meter or w/e teleports anyways), etc.
Not sure what pwi could do about the server lag issue but when a character can hit 4-5 times a second and the server can't keep up to provide the other player a chance to counter.. it's beyond stupid.0 -

Or you missed my point completely, aside from the point you had brought up about server lag, say that was gone completely(server lag) is my point still invalid? No, I don't think so.
I don't disagree in the aspect that most of the time a single sin hit wont kill you personally, but when you are hit consecutively without it registering on your client, yes that indeed is a problem.
But for most people that complain it IS a one shot whether it be a sparked skill or other. And that is who my "invalid point" was aimed at. I get the fact that you pro geared +12 JoSD'd out people may laugh at even a rank 9 +12 double sparked sins single attack out of stealth.
But the majority of the people do not.

Secondly you mentioned la, I hope to god you arent referring to "light armor". cause to even assume that the mere i dunno whats the average elemental resistance on the cookie cutter sin build? oh wow a whopping 3.4k which at lvl 100 protects a whole 46% vs lvl 100 enemies according to the pwcalc saves from the damage that you 100+ r8/r9 arcanes deal is laughable. Ive recorded 10k+ damage on my sin in secret passage from some of you wizards and psychics from single non crit, normal starting skill hits.
And you say what I write is invalid? Im pretty sure HA users have higher elemental resistance than that.0 -

If server lag was gone comepletely I still stick to what I said about it being invalid (less invalid I guess), you can successfully counter what sins do if you see it coming if they are out of stealth. The same way you can counter a wizard channeling BIDS in plain view, vs a wizard channeling BIDS if they had stealth. Seeing the attack coming makes all the difference in the world.
If server lag was no longer an issue sure ur point might be a tad valid but you would still need extremely good reflexes to counter it, but anyways, you cannot get rid of server lag. At least not with todays technology, so that *what if* is irrelevant, it's a game mechanic that pwi should have considered when they made the sin

Why not disable stealth in pvp? Sins would be able to attack from stealth only on mobs. On PVP everyone could see them but could not attack when they are in this mode. Like this they could escape from a fight w/o have the possibility of jumping on target with everything that make fight unfair (2 spark, IG, anti stun, frenzy, mire..)0
