6 client crashes 1 after each other mind telling me wth is going on?

    my client has also been crashing a lot lately this past week or 2 and i don't have any other clients opened up :\

    they blame your computer specs and not their old engine b:chuckle

    I have crashes every hour or so as well.

    Hmmm... http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?p=14702081#post14702081 must be the +10 orbs and pack assault doing it now. Looks like we all need to email china an let em know to remove them.

    My lappy has an integrated intel chipset, the client never crashes on that lappy, the client i have in it is 2 years old, 2 GB RAM, Windows Vista, Intel Processor Core-Duo has a bunch of viruses I believe XD and it overheats some, it runs at most 14 FPS on empty areas, 1-5 FPS on crowed areas ON LOWEST SPECS.

    Every so often I will have a client crash, had one night before last while NPCing junk bh drops and while usually I crash when just 1 client open the other night I had 2 clients open and one crashed and the other didn't while I was standing right next to myself.

    But I guess that's my custom built pc worth 5k and not PWE's poor coding b:puzzled

    5k pc meaning the parts all told to build it retail for $5,000. Hell if you tried to buy a pc with the build I have from Alienware or somewhere it'd probably run you 8-10k.

    But alas my pc is almost a year old now, 2 more months and I guess it will be obsolete, good thing I know how to upgrade.

    ya i used to crash in archo most of the time but yesterday it was everywhere. Re installed client to see if it makes a dif.

    That's been happening to me for a while now. Also my client will randomly crash when I'm in cube and click the dice to move to the next room. I've had that happen several times in a row, even.

    I would blame 2x drop/exp not packs :p

    especially when we talking about crashing in Tide..

    nothing better and more lovely than lag in vana which end up with game crash.

    Crash games i had.. very rarely, 1 in month maybe? And past 2 weeks.. it ll be like 20?

    Sad to say but.. im looking for end of 2x drop :p

    Though, my client crashes most frequently when teleporting to Tellus City or Raging Tides. :|

    I try not to teleport there if I can help it, but for my mystic, that means either enduring a year-long flight from place to place, or skipping on vital/good quests.

    It's funny.. i have a pc i built 7 YEARS ago still blows **** outta the water, and a laptop i just bought. Except for the random dc/"user doesnt' exist" when u jump toons..... and the DDOS attack .. what this spring?..... I haven't crashed the THREE YEARS i been playing this. idk wth is wrong with u all but it's not the game or we'd ALL be crashing, and that's jut not it. If something realy was going on with the server, it wouldnt' jsut affect a HANDFUL of people (hell no one in my guild's crashing and no one's whining about it on WC either), it'd hit us all like the DDOS attacks. b:avoid b:surrender

    btw if you're crashing when u hit RT or Tellus... i'd look into a better vid card... >.> Since the lag from THOSE areas is from all the flashy **** there putting strain on the card (lag in arch is all the people, just hide people .. no lag. Turn down the DISTANCE in RT or Tellus and poof lag goes away there).

    So you're saying that when people get d/ced, it can't POSSIBLY be the server's problem, because you aren't experiencing it as well? Ok then, I guess the pack/dorb instability that PWI admitted was an internal problem wasn't real, either. Pats on the back to you, for your logic is infallible. b:bye

    Maybe literacy confuses you. I'll put it as simply as I can: Server, problem. We players, have. Cannot play PWI on toaster. Asking fix =/= "whining". You got?

    Vid card is fine, but since you seem to think you know what I have based on one fragment of information, I'm all ears as to what make you think it is. Never have lag in Archo, by the way, genius. Just crashes (Read: Client closes itself without warning or reason) in Raging Tides or when porting to Tellus City.
    Not before. Not while in Tellus. Not after.


    Now if we could hear from someone who has more than 2 brain cells on the matter...

    ive had my catshops up 24/7 and so far within the week it only crashed once.

    im guessing its just a mix of
    - how well your PC handles graphics
    - how much you port around
    - lag

    time to put up the +11+12 orbs!

    And of course, the only people who are crashing are the people posting here. It couldn't possibly be that others are crashing as well, but not posting about it or are somehow unable to.

    Yep, heck of a lot of ppl I know been crashing, they never post in forums. I reckon if everyone who experienced random crashes posted here, the forum would crash...
    Funny thing, I only ever had 1 or 2 crashes ever, until the Genesis expansion... since then, and almost every patch since, it's been getting worse for me. People should also try not to confuse lag with framerate...
    edit: My catshop NEVER crashes, only ever dc's... (I multi-client)

    Often the offending program may appear to freeze or hang until a crash reporting service documents details of the crash (in most cases, the crappy Windows message OR sometimes the blue screen of death). If the program is a critical part of the operating system kernel, the entire computer may crash. This is different from a hang or freeze where the application or OS continues to run without obvious response to input.

    Many crashes are the result of the execution of a single machine instruction, but the causes of this are many fold. Typical causes are when the program counter is set to an incorrect address or a buffer overflow overwrites a portion of program code due to an earlier bug. In either case, it's common for the processor to attempt to execute data or random memory values. Since all data values are possible but only some values are valid instructions, this often results in an illegal instruction exception. By chance such data or random values could be valid (though unplanned) instructions. One might say that the original bug that upset the program counter "caused" the crash, but the actual fault was an illegal instruction some time later. The art of debugging such crashes is connecting the actual cause of the crash (easily determined) with the code that set off the chain of events. This is often very far from obvious...

    Two people in my faction crash every time they port to RT, not just during 2x I might add. As far as myself, I'm ok with RT and Tellus and rarely have lag issues, but more often lately I am getting the issue of one client (I always have two open, one for catshop) closing randomly on its own. Only one of two clients though; never had both crash before.

    There is a thread in Tech Support about this or a very similar problem. For my wife and I, the problem started the day after a patch a month or so ago, NEVER before that patch. If we are in Arch or RT in full graphics mode, the client will just quit and we are left staring at our desktops. We both have quad core i7's with high end graphics cards so I don't think hardware is the problem. Weird thing is, if we just stand in Arch or RT, with full graphics, it'll run all day, but when we move, especially on mounts or flyers, within about 30 seconds it crashes. We've just started switching to efficient mode when in either of those two places and have no problems. We can also run full graphics anywhere else and no problems. I'm convinced that whatever they did in that patch has caused the problem.
