Why is so hard to find a cleric this days? [Dreamweaver]

I tried. I really tried to give it a shot. Made an alt account, made a cleric. Then i met in bh29 all kinds of mysterious creatures (no names to be given). "Heal me ok? HEAL ME PLS" they go grab those 3 walker mobs and don't hit any..HEAL PLS..i watch them die (no aggro? no heals ! ) Then i die ( that bh29 is clustertight).
Yep, that's about when i realised cleric will be just my own personal private buffer and res on DC-happy-go-die moments.
That and the experiences of years in other mmos with (i can't name that class, but it heals) in (i can't name those games).

I've been a cleric for too long, i quit playing my cleric ever now & again to work on a new project.

reasons why theirs less & less clerics now of days, is simply put, healing is boring, & watching ppl play aggro tag is a pain, if its 2 ppl going bck & forth, more likly you'd let the one with less hp die & revivie him in a bit, while the other guy with higher hp holds aggro.

its not mean, its just a fact, why would i want to watch 2 ppl in sqaud play aggro tag? & why does the guy with super low hp, have +12 weapon? & **** hp?

& yes, no cleric wants to sqaud up with randoms cause more likly its gonna fail, or someone in sqaud is a total douch.

i was in sqaud for 30 secs before i left, some D bag bm told me to put up bb near the barb for bh metal, i wasn't even in the instance, nor did it start, i asked myself, am lv 100 with higher hp than the bm, why should i take orders from this guy & if i do, will he keep telling me what to do as if am a nub.

+ the last thing that sucks about being a cleric, is if the sqaud fcks up & dies, than u end up dying cause of them, they just sit their & wait til u come bck & revivie them, while u lose all the exp, is that fair, hell no, but does it happen a lot in fcc, yea, & by the time its all over, no one thanks you, or nothing, its like ty, leaves sqaud.

so yea not many ppl want to play on a cleric, & its the same for a barb, its not worth it anymore, let the dds do all the bs work thats why we have aps ppl running all over the place

If I want to help with bh29-fb39 - I do it solo, without any Cleric.

And sometimes one of squad can die, because they even can't be behind my Wizard when mob explode.

Well my cleric is kind of on vacation. Got sick of idiots in random fc squads blaming me things that were their own fault. No one waits for me, just run off and start killing before i can even get there to heal and then start blaming me for them dying. I mean holy path x2 sometimes just doesn't cut it. And people think I have some super cleric teleport powers or something. >.> I've realised i can do a lot more on my sin without having to rely on everyone for help all the time. Quests are quicker, i can solo loads more things, etc. I just got sick of not being appreciated as a cleric, taken for granted kind of thing i guess. A lot of people ONLY talked to me when they needed help with something. I love to help people but a 'hi how are you?' first wouldn't go astray. So overall, the class wasn't very enjoyable for me. I still play her sometimes but not very often.

Why so few clerics?

Because squads treat them like ****, and they try to tell them what to do

"Heal Cleric" .... nooo, I was just gonna sit , eat popcorn and watch you die, lol

Seriously guys - do clerics tell you your job? "Tank Barb", "HF BM", "vortex seeker" - get real people!

My cleric recently ran fcc with 2 different random squads, both let me die 4 times, on one instance I missed 3 bosses, and at the end had run out of hyper activations for heads. One jerk of a bm told me that my exp loss from dying and no heads was my fault for choosing cleric - yeah real nice attitude.

Those were my worst two fcc runs to be fair .. but they are an example of why you don't find clerics.

When I compare old times and today there are following differences:
1. Now main aim of almost all classes 100+ level through FC and hyper stones.
2. At high levels exist so many chars with solo-able high APS ability, that Clerics even not necessary at levels 100+
3. Low level TT runs absent. Barbarians and Clerics had their income from it.

Since Assassins is only class capable to get best benefits at high levels, there are too many Assassins.

Maybe coz clerics are only NEEDED and not wanted and appreciated.

Need a cleric to open tt nirvy (meaning I only NEED your buffs; you arent welcome anymore ofc as not 5 APS)
Need a cleric for FC (meaning I NEED to level fast so I can ask point 1 and forget we never could reach this level without that silly cleric.)
Need a cleric for bh (meaning I NEED to level fast so I can ask point 2 and 1)

When you get "lucky" to stumble into a squad nowadays random ones are often pretty bad.
It s oh so fun to ping pong heal and purify and get the blame for everything goes wrong.
It s oh so fun to get told to bb at every corner (even on bosses that drop bb) coz they only know bb heals from FC.
It s oh so fun to see Leroy Jenkins type of players pull as many mobs as they can aggro "one" and scream for heals.
It s oh so fun to be screamed at shouted at from start "do this do that" to end "do this do that"


It s oh so fun to be whispered "NEED REZ" (cheaper than buying guardians ofc which are kept for pvp)
It s oh so fun getting whisps like "Are you busy?" from "friends" (meaing I NEED a boss / bh and cant find a stupid cleric ) Yep yep extra spot on friendslist again :P

Taking all the above in consideration why should I do something for a squad when I dont feel to it? Why should I even bother to help out ppl screaming in WC NEED A F...ING CLERIC to ... Why should I even consider to get the all the **** by helping random squads when I dont have any quests there myself? Why should I even consider staying in a squad where ppl start yelling at you before you even get started.

Wonder why people are looking for clerics and dont find them. Beats me but I dont have a clue why clerics hide in comfy squads with real friends or fac members.
But could be me of course maybe I missed out something :P

bm runs out of bb 100 km away on bh snake, charm **** and almost dies, yells to me

heal agroo on nirvana with sins having 3-4k hp and no defence, dying 2-3 hitted, on EVERY squad

ppl not running away from fire on nirvana boss, running different direction than squad on running boss, yelling HEAL, REZ, like i didnt know lol...

speeding with 10 holy paths and all speed apo they have the farthest they can go away from
me, agroo all mobs they can, die, QQ and yell why didnt you heal cleric, why?

not agrooing the mobs on aoe, making me die ( delta wave 2-3 with archers ), qq to me i died, or stand too far from BB and die, or on any aoe, pulling 100 mobs agroo 1, i get heal agroo and die , or when i dont heal i get yelled at

the overall feeling of being a useless worthless space take coz all BH'S seem to be 1 sin solos all and everything 100km's in front of the squad, and the rest just runs after him like useless bags of potatoes

replacing the role of players by 1 big ego hero that wanna act pro, tanking for tank, pulling for veno, as a veno if ill fail i pull im not even allowed to retry , 1 hero just runs wehn i try to pull again , pulls the mob, says IM SO PRO on squad,and makes me feel; like a worthless being, that also makes me not wanna log or play with randoms...

in cube, random squad invites from nowhere ( for buffs ofc), or just BUFF CLERIC, HEAL CLERIC, i am not obligated to heal or buff you, althou ofc i will if u would at least ask me nicely like.... could u buff me please? and if i refuse to heal or buff or join squad im flamed and called A FAIL NOOB CLERIC

in old pwi, being obligated to fly around the world and ress everyone, getting flamedits my duty when i refused

sins in stealth running around u in pk rooms in cube, or leaving shadows to scare u

getting killed after u buffed someone for the "LOLz"

generally being bossed around, do this do that, move the bb,

noone can pull the boss to BB , they must make me run to them being very far away and let most of ranged sqyad memebers get hard aoe damage ( delta bosses for example )

when someone doesnt ress u get yelled at TO RESS CLERIC, even thou this person might afk or dc'd.... but they know better lol

It's several month I continue to say in this forum that this game need a re-equilibration of classes....but nobody hear me.

Just a week ago I said why ppl dont wont to play cleric anymore.

Now I only run BH but NO FF, NO TT anymore.

Call a sin instead a cleric...it's full of sins...a lot of unuseful and deleterious sins.

Clerics seem to be like busses. None for ages, then they all come along at once.

I have, reasonably regularly, been in BH squads of 5-clerics+me. And universally, they complain that 'normal' squads contain people who cannot (or worse, will not) control their aggro, making it impossible to keep everyone alive.

With venomancers they feel safe, because healing is an occasional accidental thing, and I'm not demanding they obey me - it's NICE to have them along, but since I can honestly solo, I don't demand it.

So, I guess, my guidance is: If you want clerics...
Be nice to them.
And be a venomancer

This is only difference.

Even with one mystic is possible to tank Zimo, for example at my level.

An arcane should be able to tank zimo no problem, heck a cleric could probably solo zimo if they were in their late 70s and had the proper apoths/pots and a small charm. IJS


Anyway, a cleric is not the same as a mystic for many reasons. More than just buffs.

lol well maybe it isnt driectly 100 but by that i wanted to say its a lot lol and how much stuff like this makes me not wanna play the cleric, and acually uspets me, and frightens me that people like this are acally living near me in real life

I can have about 6 HP charms with something like 300k - 350k HP each, but I don't want to.
Clerics are fun to use if you can to predict, what they have in mind or control him (what I will do with my - now 37th level yet - since 1 of July).

It is ok.

I saw same situations myself, but with less crowd of mobs.

Hi, it is real. Good IH healing, up to +60% phys. def. and mag def, etc.

That's what happens always to me. And this is the matter I'll never run a FF again.

Sin are the asses of this game. Are all Noobs and nobody of them know as to control their aggro. They only know as to click on "attack" button...as if they think to be immortal.

Then when they die the matter is the cleric.

Every now and then I take my cleric in a random squad for BH... and then when it is once again demonstrated that lvl 100+s don't all understand heal aggro and care more about rushing than waiting for the cleric (and enjoy yelling at the cleric for not being as fast as they are), I go back to faction runs only.

The increasing ignorance and bad attitudes of players in this game has made my cleric basically just for use in helping the faction. I don't play her much otherwise, and have stopped levelling her.

It doesn't help when you see someone WC once, then twice, maybe thrice for a cleric, then WC's decline into derogatory remarks about the clerics (yet still wondering why they can't get one) - "Why can't I get a stupid cleric??", "why are all you clerics so lazy, join my FC/TT/BH", etc, etc.....

sure glad my wifey is a clericb:chuckle even she dont like to get on her cleric all the time though.Ill pull her in one bh and thats it,im not going to use her for all my bh's

its not about randoms,or blah blah cleric you suck..its the fact a toon gets old at 100 and they tend to just do the daily bh then move on to the next alt..like me.Used to see all these people QQ for barbs..still do sometimes..but i would just b:laugh get my bh done and go on my other 3 toons to do bh 100.Depending on the bh and how fast i get them done il lthen help guildmates on some random anything to do list.

ill prob just lvl my cleric to 100 so i wont have to depend on other clerics.

as for random squad i love random..random makes the game inteesting and each squad a different thing goes on,if i didnt do random it would be quite boring.

I know what you mean here about having different squads being interesting and fun, but the random squads I tend to go with get people killed
