    It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. They say pack sale will end June 8'th, so that the ppl who want the last minute packs will charge gold or w/e to buy all the packs before they go off sale. PWI makes a ton of cash. Then they say "oops, forgot to tell you guys packs are extended!". Then 3 weeks later they get another rush of gold coming in due to people buying more packs before it's off sale.

    This isn't even the first time they've tried this tactic to bring in more $$$$.

    I wonder if PWI's legal department knows what an "unfair or deceptive trade practice" is
    they should probably figure it out and start complying incase the federal trade commission starts paying attention to them.

    answer... ppl who knew prices will rise, and who knew packs would stay... who had... advice from ppl on high. Once a good profit is turned, the coin is sold under the table for RL$... and the "on high" ppl get a cut(or theye do it themselves).
    This is why GMs are so diligent at routing out the regular MMO gold sellers.
    Too many times I've had "advice" passed on, that a rank or pack or orb sale is happening soon or being extended... and it being all too correct... there are no other conclusions.
    No one is this lazy or sloppy unless there's something in it for them.

    You do realize that there are several times the news feed has been updated before the actual maintenance, right? IJS, I knew that the seal sale was going to happen before it did because I saw it on the news page. Also, PWI has pretty much the same rotation of sales each time. Wouldn't be surprised if we get a safe sale or refinement sale soon. Also, prices always rise when a sale ends because those merchants are now the only ones who can supply the still hot item so they can charge more. :P ROFL I must be secretly getting funding from PWI! /sarcasm

    Seriously? not only did they lie about when the packs would be off the cash shop, they extended it for a whole month. WTF?!b:puzzled

    Have they gone that low that they wont even keep what their saying? great.. next time we'll know that everytime theres no maintenance it means = "go **** ur selfs suckers, we keep gold price highb:laughb:victory"

    Yeah, I didnt buy any pack this time.

    The gold price at least on sanc isnt driven by packs atm so I didnt think they would remove them now cause that would cost them money.

    what most people doesnt realise is that its not franks fault lol.
    We all should be mailing the devs, spamming the forums wont do much that is what people doesnt understand, what happens in the forums stays in the forums it doesnt leak out to the devs

    Dev doesn't control the sale like they control content of the game. I understand who's fault is for what. It's Frankie's job to post the information on sales on the newspage. Even if the info he was given was false, he haven't said anything else about it.

    What you don't understand is people are not mad about the post not getting changed in time but for the fact that we were told one date of end of the sale then that became ****. Even if the post was changed before the maint, it still would have been a last minute change on something promised a month ago.

    i dont like this either, im so pissed that the packs didnt go away today i really wanted the cheap gold. But here's the problem, frank and the other gms can give the info to the devs as much as they can but nothing will change, even if people flame the forums it doesnt effect the devs... maybe the first times when the game was new it would effect them, but they know that people will flame and calm down and play again.

    what everyone can do is flame the company instead by sending them emails instead or post letters. They already have people who can clean their mess in forums, and what happens in forums doesnt really bother them so the only thing that can bother them is to send them the complains instead until they realise how pissed people are.

    I should make a thread about this, think ill do it later if im not to lazy

    Sales are occasionally extended-- it's rare but it does happen. I personally do not have control over what goes on sale or whether sales are extended, but I do have control over what shows up on news posts, and it's my desire and duty to communicate to you these kinds of important updates as early as I possibly can.


    Please know that I will make it known to the rest of the PWI team that extending sales can have inherent, unforeseen consequences for certain player-groups i.e. merchants.
