    What's funny (or sad) is the mention of all the greed...when noone has pointed out the greed of the PWI playerbase.
    The OP states he hopes he didn't just buy 2000 packs for nothing. Why is this? Clearly not to open since that could have been done in the last month.
    Obviously to resell at a much higher price than he bought them for a few hours ago. The sale not ending has thus impacted the greed of how many players? And of how many people QQing here in this topic?
    We are not so different (re:innocent) from PWE. So don't claim to be.

    Claim it as investment or whatever you want, but its greed from marking up the price of these so-called hated packs, and making a quick buck that fuel the fire for many in this. Packs aren't so hated as people make them out to be, we have turned them into a huge coin-making scheme as much as PWE has to make cash for themselves.
    So what if the sale isn't over? You'd be a fool to buy them between sales anyway from a catshop at inflated prices, since you know 100% that they, or another variant thereof, will be back on this price.
    So what you end up with is a greedy playerbase, waiting to suck in other players with in-between sales jacked up pricing. And hey, if you can find suckers who buy them in between sales and you make a good profit, all the power to you. Just don't claim to be all innocent, that coin aquisition isn't the main goal in most peoples eyes when it comes to QQing about these sales.

    Contrary to what you're preaching, quite a number of people actually just want the gold to go down so they can buy their r8 or r9 at a more reasonable price, which really has nothing to do with all the greedy merchants you're talking about.

    Oh I see, because the rep sale itself, with the reintroduction of the Medals to the cashshop, is in NO WAY affecting the price of gold atm :P

    I can't tell if you're deliberately ignoring the fact that pack sales raise gold prices on top of the rep sale to try to make it look like you weren't wrong, or if you're really just that stupid. You can't seriously believe gold prices would be the same during a rep-only sale as during a pack + rep sale do you? Like are you actually denying that the pack sale is making rank more expensive to buy? LOL.

    rep was at 8k ea when they had no pack sales but just rep sales...with pack sales theyre at 14k ea.. i definitely do believe packs are affecting b:surrender

    Look, I never argued your point. Yes, some people would like that....tho the very sale they want to take advantage of is what drove gold up to the wonderful new height its at now.

    But to clarify on your supposed attack on my intellegence, I never said EVERYONE is that way. But alot of the QQing is that way. Clearly I am not wrong, since all you have to do is read the opening post to this topic, and some of the ones to follow about 'investing'.
    And I also never said gold would be this high with a rep only sale. All I said, in sarcasm, that it wasn't affecting gold at all, which you in turn maked me as saying "gold would be the same price on rep only". Which isn't at all what I said.
    I can't tell if you're deliberately putting words into places they were never said to provoke argument, or if you're just so narrow-viewed that you only see your own PoV.

    ofc it's the usual... but it's not just greed of pwi...
    Noticed how pack items jacked up in price on the last day? even though there was quite a few going on the market... but they did rise in price considerably even though they are already overpriced.
    Now who would have stocked up on those when they are overpriced already... and packs sopposed to leave?

    answer... ppl who knew prices will rise, and who knew packs would stay... who had... advice from ppl on high. Once a good profit is turned, the coin is sold under the table for RL$... and the "on high" ppl get a cut(or theye do it themselves).
    This is why GMs are so diligent at routing out the regular MMO gold sellers.
    Too many times I've had "advice" passed on, that a rank or pack or orb sale is happening soon or being extended... and it being all too correct... there are no other conclusions.
    No one is this lazy or sloppy unless there's something in it for them.

    they remove the packs and then what? expecting gold prices to go down? really? what fantasy are you living inb:chuckle gold rises atleast 10-50k a day, 50-150k when its maint night, i monitor my servers gold prices alot, gold prices might not go down if packs are removed, theres too much demand and too little supply (maint night theres almost no gold in gold trading) , aaaand the medals and rep is still there, and the community was crying for medals, another reason why it might stay up, unless the gold buyers become "clever" and be "Patient" the gold might stay up :3 I love pack sales, keep them here pwi it makes me lots of moneyb:dirty

    oh yeah i remember 2 months ago i saw threads "PWI BRING IN PACKSb:cry" "WE NEEEEEEEEED PACKS" "OMG WHY DONT YOU GIVE US PACKS" and thats when tokens were 16K+ we've become so dependent on packs and we don't even realize it. When they gave us Packs "OMG FAIL PWI FAIL, REMOVE PACKS NAO OR I DONT CHARGE GOLD" thats the most fail thread i saw, Cs-ers thrive on pack sales cause gold goes up. People are never satisfied with what they have till its goneb:cute

    it's not about removing the packs. it's about trusting pwi. when they say a sale is going on or off on a scheduled time and never happened chaos starts.

    at first they did put tiger packs during an emergency maint.

    and now not removing a sale on packs.

    i wonder what next? say there gonna be anni packs, or +11, +12 orb sale and never happen just to rise gold price.

    The part about there is less gold available sorta goes with what im saying...the days of cash shoppers selling gold for coins is coming to an end because there is little to no reason to do so in any but the smallest amounts. Fact all the best things can now be bought cheaper with gold than with coin...because of all the greedy merchants..Also as time goes there are less an less new players...as the game dies
