Announced today on the Chinese side:

Cross-server, cross-country PK championship is what's it about.

Prizes include grade 16 and grade 15 capes for cross-server winners, and grade 16 ring and necklace for cross-country winners.

Note how none of them has -int. b:chuckle

So, are we going to participate in this??

Updates on this event:

1. in the last stage, the cross-country tournament, all participants will be given the same level!

2. all participants in the last stage will be given tournament only weapons!! Each participant will be mailed a special class weapon, on par with warsoul from what I understand. Each participant will be also be able to get armor pieces from NPC.

    Why would a ring or a necklace have interval in the first place? That never even existed so why take a note. Endgame Group PvP is not won using interval builds either.

    Chinese version have these types of event a lot, but it requires active staff/GMs so might as well forget about it for this version :/

    which translates to mean: the winning team of the cross-server competition will represent China in a global championship match against players from other countries.

    Maybe we have more, but from the translations ppl have made, it sounds like it's going to be 1vs1 events. It wouldn't matter who has more, it will be about skill, whatever there can be.

    I could see it happening, if the Devs tell PWE that they have to do it.

    However, there's a chance that due to version incompatibility, it won't work anyway. We're usually a few months behind, patch wise, compared to the Chinese servers.

    Seeing how instances are handled on a separate server than the world map, it IS possible to do this cross continent. But, if there is, say, a series of thunderstorms across the Midwest US, and a Hurricane in the Atlantic, the East Coast servers may heavily lagged, connectivity wise, to servers in China, Russia, Japan, and even the West Coast of the US.

    Interesting Concept. Doubt it will get implemented. I'd rather see them force inter-server PVP on PWE than PWE vs PW-CN vs PW-RU vs PW Japan.

    actually, no we are not. We're just behind on "Activated content" think of it as on-disc DLC: it's there, but we can't touch it.

    And if we aren't, they'll just add it pre-event, even if they take it away afterward (I've seen that happen before..)

    and I agree on the lag situation, they are going to have to build a server from the start, SPECALLY for this event. Just watch.

    I believe you are wrong about this.

    When we got the new instance (Phoenix Valley) PW-CN had already had it for a few weeks and it was not until then that the patch actually contained the new instance.

    Or when the TB/EG/etc. patch came out, PW-CN had had it for a few weeks before we got the patch.

    I think we are not far behind but a few patches at least.
