They made fun of me because I wasn't a R8 Psychic...and then came third cast. It's not funny anymore.

Play the game how you wanna play it and let others do the same, Powerlvlers arent harming you... so just enjoy the game.0

As much as I agree with what Hell said, this spam of Alt FC's is becoming unbearable. WC is being spammed with 500k prices, and they just keep getting higher.
It's getting to the point where I'm just sick of playing the game. What's the point in even playing, if you don't know what's going on in game? How are regular levelers suppose to compete with that kind of BS?
Sooner or later, EVERYBODY is going to be Alt FCing and half of the things in game will be obsolete. (As if they're not already.)
I asked in faction if anybody wanted to do BH 51 with me. A Mystic level 90 asked me who Fushma was. I wanted to strangle them! I mean, wtf....how is it that you're 30 levels higher than me, and yet I have more information on this entire game than you probably do in all the little braincells in your head.
Alt FC's are good when you have a main over 90....and when I say main over 90, I mean one that got there the "actual" way of playing this game...
But there's just something wrong about the 90+ Earthguards I'm seeing pop out from literally nowhere, already Sage and Demon when the skills have only been translated, and not really implemented in game. Sheesh.0 -
I think people under lvl 80 should not be able to enter FCC. It's already very easy to lvl with dailies, gamma, whatever... and with the stupid hypers. (hell, I'd even put a cap on hypers). :P Too bad it's not gonna happen.0

Why would you want a lvl cap for frost?
Maybe you mean lvl minium?0 -

Well, there are other ways to power-lvl besides fcc. Those who "alt-fcc" already have a main (most of those are 90+). I got tho agree with you there are tons of ppl 100+ who lvled to fast then is good for them (no idea what skills do, how squad can work togather, uber-**** lvl70s gear, etc), not to mention those who never entered an instance like TT. But well, as long as they are not in my squad, idc. Got to agree with Hell b:pleased
On the other hand, for those who already have several lvl90s or even several 100+ toons, I can understand they'd like to speed up some lvls. Did that myself too. Got 2 100+ and a 90+ the "normal" way, and powerlvled my seeker a little to skip the highly annoying bh39 and 51. And just wanted to see that vortex skill on seaweed thieves ofc b:chuckle
Ultimately, I don't think a lvl cap would actually change something. There are other ways to powerlvl, that are bothering me way more then fcc. Public quest being owned by some lvl 100 in squad with an alt, while you want to just do it for fun but don't get a chance. Or those lvl60+ killing wicked pirates for hours while you just want to get that oracle from your stash done. So plz, don't get a lvl cap for fcc. Rather let them power lvl there, where they don't bother those who don't play that way.
PS, I think you mean min lvl for fcc :O Can't see a reason for a lvl100+ not to enter, they get an exp cut anyway0 -
Well, I only FCed on my cleric after I got to lvl 80-81, because BH rewards aren't so significant compared to the amount of exp you need to lvl starting with BH69.Until then, I only leveled through BHs, occasional CS when I could spare the money (used to be rather poor back then b:chuckle) and my quests.
Now, if, I'd want to start another character, I would get bored easily, mainly because I've done those quests twice already. Also, doing all those BHs all over agan... *sigh* I already done it twice b:surrender So why not hyper it from 1 to 100?
But I really can't understand those new players that prefer to hit heads all day in FC and when they get out of the instance they have no idea how to play their char... b:sweat
@Ois
Yeah, I hope the OP means a minimum lvl.Because I wouldn't agree with a maximum one.Lvls 80-100 take forever with just BH imo and CS and quests don't really help too much.0 -
Good luck w/ that.

Yea its suppose to take awhile to get there thts the whole dam point of actually getting there. Not just face rolling the keyboard and under a week your lvl 100. No its suppose to take awhile sense its suppose to be an achievement but i suppose most "new gen" babies the i wnt it now but i dont wnt to actually work for it crowd wouldnt under stand. Doesnt matter if you have allrdy done it before if your doing it with a different class you should do the same dam thing to learn the ins and outs of tht dam classb:angryb:scornb:infuriatedb:byeCollector of pet eggs, armor, weapons, fashion, and mountsb:chuckle0 -
I'm fine with people hyperlvling as long as they're not in my squad... b:surrender
If you have a 90+ char I can understand you don't feel like lvling the slow way. I personally am lvling a seeker atm and still enjoy doing quests, At the same time however I can't wait till I get to lvl 40 so I can speed it all up a bit with bh's.. b:surrender
But yeh. New players hyperlvling kinda sucks... >.>[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Oh yeah, a level cap would be nice. You get the quests there at what, 75? So a maximum level of 85 or so would be fine - keep it at the level where it's a really fun instance.
I'm guessing that wasn't what you meant, but it's still a good idea.0 -

Woah, don't think I just facerolled the keyboard in FC as soon as I got to lvl 80.I also took my time to do other stuff, like farming my TT90 gear, learn more about my class, help my friends, do quests and other stuff like that.It actually took me hmmm 6-7 months for 80-100.And I believe I know how to play my class.I'm not a pro, but at least I can keep a damn squad alive in instances.
I also have a veno that is lvl 73 right now.Did no FC whatsoever on her.But as soon as I get to lvl 80 I'll get some hypers and go for it.I know how to lure, how/when to amp, purge, debuff, I know I need to pass sparks to tank/cleric if/when they need, I know I shouldn't bramble arcanes because they might QQ, and all the other stuff I might have missed.I've seen other venos playing when I was on my cleric, and that helped. Now why do I HAVE to waste months in BH69 just so I can get my third spark?I'd rather get to 100 fast and then start soloing higher TTs to get money for my cleric.0 -
lol, as a cleric, i see so many ppl pwoer lvl way past me, i've been playign for 2 yrs, and im lvl 82. true i have fc'ed lik 4 times, and used a couple of hypers. (maybe it takes me ages because im lazy, idk, diffrent topic)
but its the worst when u see lvl 100's who are like "Whats BB stand for?" or "oh yea, i can tank that (when their pure mag mages and going up against a melee boss)"
-.- i miss FQ[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
My computer beat me at checkers, but I sure beat it at kickboxing. b:cool0 -

So you're saying : "power to 80s everyone, that's great, but after that it's over!"
This wouldn't make sence at all. I can see the idea behind a min lvl requirement even if I'm not favorable to it.
Maybe there should be another term besides "powerlvling", cause this seems to refer to a methode of lvling or a number of lvls/day. I think it's more reasonable to look at those "lvling faster then they can handle". I mean with those, the ppl that don't have their primary skills up to date, and that use crappy armor way below their lvl. I think ppl shouldn't lvl if they don't get their main skills up but have tons of spirit, or if they wear 1* armor 20 lvls below their own (not saying everyone must have best of best, but everyone can afford some decent 3* armor of their lvl with current prices). There are a lot of players that lvled way to fast imo, but that never used a hyper or even saw fcc from inside.
The limitation to lvling 80-100 is mostly coins. Usually lvling their first character to 100 takes a while cause of the cost of those lvls. Sage/demon skills, TT90 armor being pretty costly, wanting to invest a bit more on a good weapon since it will last a while. Besides, at 80 you have all your skills besides the lvl100 ones 90% of the ppl will never get anyway. Powerlvling 1-80 has worse impact then 80-100 imo.
Did 1 to 100 the long way, barely touched a hyper (they were still boutique only back then). Right now, I got the coins and the toons to easily get sage/demon books and armor. For my seeker I got TT99 ready from my barb (and all lvl TT sets before that). Made the TT swords I want for all lvls, and got a sin that provides the coins I need. You're not seriously thinking I'd lvl on just bh and cs lol0 -
As some others have said, I suspect the OP meant to put a MINIMUM level req. on FCC to prevent powerleveling chars from low levels, not a cap preventing higher levels from getting in.
There actually is. The squad leader must be 85+ (iirc) to open frost. However, the game mechanics don't take the others into consideration, so low level people can get in as long as someone else opens for them.
As to power-leveling, I have mixed feelings. I have met many people--including some that did NOT p-level -- that seriously don't get their job/class in a squad....because they haven't had to learn. My feeling is that, regardless of your class/level/etc, you should learn to play. Once you can, hey, go for it!
On the other hand, I have only one char above level 30. That's because I get them to the mid 20s, then ask myself why I'm doing these damn quests....AGAIN....and go back to my Sin. I can easily see how an upper level player would not want to play those slow levels all over again, and instead just...skip all the annoying slow parts by alt-fcing their way to a level where they are useful. In fact, when I hit my mid 90s, I'll probably FC my Veno to her 70s or 80s myself, so I can farm TT with her.Things said during a Twizted faction PK session:
Slayer_of_Souls: you guys are such suck ups. none of you have attacked twid.
Twiddzly(fac leader): no, sere killed me already.
Slayer_of_Souls: he's out there waiting for us, isn't he. i'm gonna die.

Minimum level right? You realize most people who power level low level toons, are those who have mains that are 9x-10x. I dont see a point of taking my time getting another character to 100 the slow way. Hell just trying to get 102 on my assassin is going to be bad enough. I get less then 1% per run. Im not gonna waste my time doing it all again by taking my time. Im gonna level my character, be skilled(cuz this game aint hard) and be properly geared. You jealous OP?Ahira is a spyb:cryb:cryb:cry0

+1
This post would totally apply to me too.
I think that some ppl hating on powerlvling are jealous that some ppl actually manage to be skilled, play their class, have good gears and all their skills maxed while having powerlvled their alts.0 -
My BM at 71 has all 3 socket HH70 with flawless citrines +1 or +2 with 1 socket +2 calamites with a flawless garnet. My Mystic for when it hits 70 has hh70 all 3 socket(except the wrist cuz i have 4 socket sleeves of sea captian waiting) with flawless citrines no refines as of yet. My veno has been stripped of its gear a long time ago, because i chose to abandon the class, but at the time she had full hh70 with a +3 hh80 weapon with an immac saphire shard. Oh did i forget to mention my BM hit 71 within 8 days or so? No frost at all, just hyper grinding. My Mystic did do a few frost to hit the 63 its at, but all my culti's are done so are all my fb's and her skills are leveld correctly.
Just because someone chooses to power level, doesnt mean they dont know what to do. Oh and for people saying i just cash shopped all my gear. No... no i didnt. Having a 101 4aps sin who can solo farm hh up to 2-2(just one boss ive noticed is troublesome) helps out a lot =p.Ahira is a spyb:cryb:cryb:cry0 -
If you are talking about Alt FCs, that means one of two things.
1. Someone has played the game enough to level their first character up to 90+ so they can get in with their alt at heads.
2. Someone is using their 90+ character and letting their friend use the alt slot so the friend can catch up and the 90+ person will fill the person in on how to play.
So you can't just say they don't know what's going on in the game if they had to have leveled another character to 90+ just to get into an alt FC.
As for the "Selling exp room heads" thing, most new players don't know what that means and more than likely dismiss it...but if not, and they do pay to go to FC, let them. It doesn't take 100+ quests to figure out how to play your character. Some people want to jump up to more squad-based playing, and that doesn't really happen until the 60s, where BH51 comes in, when people actually realise what most of the stuff means, which leads to my first point about new players and FC.
Anyway, FC doesn't breed noobs, it's the person themselves that make the noob. If that makes sense. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to play a class, especially when there's a forum at their disposal to read and figure out things on. My friend's son knows how to use Ironheart to heal the tank while she's doing something else... and I don't believe he's even more than 10 years old. But if you can't figure out how to play a class after a few FCs or normal quests, I don't think you should be playing games at all, and instead go back to school. b:surrender[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Not all that are being poweleved have mains in 100... as I read what he said, people are selling the heads room spots 500-800k... meaning lvl 40s genuine newbies see this, and can easily afford a spot, and is actually quite cheaper versus reward than the oracles.
Just the other day, I seen a guy in etherblade, coaching newbs on how he could help them get 40+ levels. All they had to do was buy him some packs off the boutique.
I think a fix should be done... people with lvl 9x mains, already had the resources to powerlevel alts without FC heads room..0 -
Level 105 is level cap for FC or for anything else.

Or QQ moar because you cant afford it lol. How people choose to play this game does not in any way effect you. Stop qqing about this, find a thread already made about it. Seriously this f-ing thread had appeared like 100 times in the last month.Ahira is a spyb:cryb:cryb:cry0 -
