the title says it all , and we all know why , no body wants to play the archer class since it is outdated these days for well known reasons ( aka mystic's pushback and assassin's dammage )

    This is my character. It will be my character no matter what classes come out or new imbalanced mechanics become available. Of course I'm also barely active but still, I was active when sins came out and opted not to switch then, no reason to switch now.

    archer forums aren't dead. infact compared to the rest of the class forums such as the barb forum or the veno forum archer forum is thriving.

    granted thats like comparing a person in a coma to being livelier then a dead one.

    I'm lv54 archer, and right now my BH's are mostly me plus a bunch of seekers and mystics lol, but I guess that's to be expected. I"m sure I'm not the only one out there building up an archer right now.... I hope?

    Some of us lower archers aren't posting a lot in the forums, but we do read them and learn from them. :)

    Our forum can be dead but the class not!!! I had created a seeker when they released the class but i now changed for archer (for good at least for me :D) I think the archer forum is one of the most complete ones so we don't need to keep asking a lot of questions already answered b:thanks

    Why does mystic knockback get mentioned here? Aside from the fact that i dont have a knockback for pvp, theirs has never bothered me. Perhaps because i use a bow.

    there's really not much else interesting that hasn't already been said about any of that.

    barb forums are not dead! I swear I saw a new thread last week...sometime..maybe.

    No the barb forums are just stuck butting heads between sage and demon as always b:chuckle

    Can you use Storm Rage to permanently kite the 2nd boss in Frost? I'm unsure how an archer solos that boss.

    There are three types of archers, as I see it, in this forum

    A: Those who are kind newbies looking for help.

    B: Those who are kind experts giving out help.

    C: Trolls.

    Between those three types there are still a lot of archers left o.o

    There are a few archer trolls whose posts I love to read above other trolls'. There's something about their arrogant attitudes that makes me snicker, which leads me to believe that archers are the best trolling class in terms of attitude and style. Personally I'd say I'm a hybrid of B and C.

    I'd like to know why don't more Archers use Garnet rather then Citrine shards.

    If you prefer Citrines in Weapons rather than garnets - A. You're insane, or B. You're insane, and haven't been diagnosed yet.

    In armour:

    I personally use citrines, because the main purpose of citrine/garnet is to survive longer. Garnets help you survive more phys attacks, but citrines help you survive both magic and phys attacks.

    Just mah grain of salt, pinch of dust, teaspoon of cake, whatever ya'll say these days.

    Garnets don't help against magic in armor.
    Citrines in weapon are... well.... let's not go there.

    That's a good point there with the magic mobs. As for weapons, if your putting Citrine shards your an IDIOT.

    The shortest answer for that is diminishing returns. The more defense you have, the less effective it becomes per point. HP doesn't suffer from that; +1 HP is +1 HP no matter what your current HP is. There is a point where defense level gems are better than HP gems but you were just asking about pdef shards right?

    Ilyrec - Unfortunately I myself haven't been around much so I am not updated on who the funnier members are. I used to enjoy NightRage's posts a lot but I don't believe he's around anymore? I also like to read Kiyoshi's posts. As for non-archers, I think Rawrgh's and Knownase's posts are good reads :)

    There's also the fact that refining pdef orns more than makes up for poor pdef, especially when fully buffed. 10k-15+ pdef buffed is not uncommon for endgame archers.

    You're better off just sharding hp or def levels.

    LOL @ Mystic knockback. That screws up melee attackers WAY more than us.

    I personally love the archer playstyle. I like destroying stuff from a distance. I like that I don't have to use many MP pots or play with an MP charm because of intelligent usage of Winged or Plumed Shell...whatever it's called.

    Just hit 80 and after 11 levels with Wind in the Clouds I can't wait to see how my Crimson Horn performs. Too bad I'm stuck at work for 5 more hours!

    It's just an opnion question.

    Archer is a nice class and i never thinked on change for each others, but some ppl don't play for fun, just play to be strong, and that's the point.

    Who play wizzards and archers, that's most uncommon to see is that the player like the style. Someone like power, someone like style, someone like to be helpfull. That's what i think.
