Um..the skill is actually like this for Vital Herb: first time heal it heal 100hp, second time it heal 150hp, third time heal is 200 hp and so on.

Is this correct? I was looking at the description on ecatomb, and it seemed like these plants heal only around 3k per minute or half minute.. which seems pretty useless when I sometimes take that much damage per hit.

I'm very sure that it is an incorrect statement. While I think that healing herb is pretty useless, it never even goes up to 150 hp per heal, so I'm not really sure if they were confusing it with vital. But I can easily say that vital heals WAY more, and even better, it stacks heals over time like ironheart and it won't even overwrite ironheart which is nice. But yeah vital heals so much that on a lot of bosses in frost if you're solo healing you can just DD and make sure that there's a vital up on every cooldown.

I was wondering, does the HP of summoned plants increase with their skill level? if so is it noticeable? because I find that most aoe plants are picked up right after I place it by the mobs in 2-5 secs. more hp would be good not only to keep debuffing more but also will distract enemies killing them for more time.

another question that need to be tested, does your gear affect plants hp or stats at all?

and I assume that your level affects the plants stats slightly.

yes it does noticeably. when i go int bh 69 (im lvl 83) my creeper plant can survive a few aoes from pole/nob and its lvl10. my spidervine however is only lvl 4 and gets destroyed in 1 hit.

also worth mentioning i can throw my punishing sting into a group of lvl 45-50 mobs and it will drop about 4-5 of them solo. assuming its special plant evasion keeps it taking 1 damage frequently. otherwise it can chew through 2 mobs of that level range. its damage does get better leveling it btw. I have tested this myself.

It worth leveling ANY of your skills.
(I do not have ANY skills on my skill list [at the trainer... to make it clear lol]..)
Just like your pets, leveling your plants is increasing the things the plant does and it's stats.

the plants are honestly based on the what the character wants to do. there is 1 plant for almost every situation.

sting is for if u want to just DD mobs for some extra physical dmg along with ur demon chiyu.

creeper is fantastic and one of my personal favs. decreases atk and casting by 40% and also decreses BOTH magical and physical defense by 20%. how can anyone say this plant is bad?

spidervine im not to much of a fan of since creeper is better imo. i think the slow effect should be higher.

listless blossom i dont use much cuz i find the success rate on it alot lower then the others unless i lysing it.

and the healing plants are self explanatory.

so it all just depends on what u personally like. idk how helpful these plants are in pvp tho. ive stopped leveling my mystic a long time ago since she was just a character i wanted for fun. (but i might level her again soon along with my psychic. idk, this game just dont seem worth the time right now)

Spidervine is very useful on bosses like Emperor, Legion Marshal, any boss/mob that is going to hurt with magic. It's almost like a weak version of BM's myriad sword stance.

Listless Blossom has quite a number of uses, besides PVP.. when trying to escape mobs lysing them can enable you to get out of range with holy path sprints to lose aggro. (example: rushing 3-2/3-3 or mobs in FB99) or buying some time for another person to establish aggro.

Plants are very good to lvl. Your Vital Herb is what enables Mystics to heal so well. That herb actually gives us a stacking heal which is very nice. On top of that the vital herb stacked heal goes along with a cleric's ih.

One of my favorite plants though is the creeper :D I like how it aoe debuffs, I find it very useful when doing big pulls in fc and many people now a days do not debuff bosses at all so I find myself normally having to make up for others slack with it b:chuckle

Spidervine is also amazing in a lot of instances. You can actually make bosses hit less hard which is very nice. On top of that the cd for the skills are not all that long so you can keep them up.

plants imo are soooo worth it.
TY for my shiney new R9 PWE b:chuckle

How effective is Listless Blossom's sleep effect, it seems like a potential OP being as we can hurt people without them waking by using Absorb Soul.

Yeah, but the extra dmg can still be useful. I thought it would be quite fun use one of cleric's only PvP strategies against them, and it works great. I usually use swirling > listless > nature's > lysing > befuddling > rapid growth > AS > gale force. It's pretty funny lol and it works great when you're summonless only thing I hate about listless is when it sleeps people right before I lyse >.> But yeah the absorb soul in there is worth it on any class, because who can argue with extra free dmg? Oh, and sometimes demon spark can be added before RG if you're ok with the chi use :b

    Why not lvl them up?
I always use befuddling creeper>lysing>spidervine on bosses to set up a bunch of useful negative status.
Listless blossom works wonders on pvp with 13 second aoe sleep.
I like to think about Punishing Sting>lysing as a third aoe attack for mystics. You can use it this way on party pulls with cragg/mistress when you don't want to seal and make the monsters run away with gale force/thicket.
And, if aoe healing is needed, you can use vital and healing herbs together for a stronger effect.
They are great tools for you to use, mainly for smoother party runs.
