You have a nice profession, I'm an animator so in a sense we have the same goal with our work: storytelling.

Now, my opinion, I like very much the way it's written, is easy to comprehend but keeping a poetic notion to create the atmosphere of the story.
The story itself, at least to me, seems a little "already seen", which is an issue with newly pop literature, is enjoyable, but doesn't lasts or evokes any further emotions on the reader after he/she is done with the text. I don't know where u come from, but u have aztec and norse elements mixed on your story, and as I know is fantasy and anything can happen, I think it would be refreshing that instead of making stories with cultural aspects u may not know completly, try taking the story closer to you, to your cultural background and personal experiences, translate that to magic, and you'll have a rich story that ppl will be able to relate to.

I am definitely going to keep my eye open for the next installment of your adventures b:chuckle

I posted this in your last thread but I am going to put it here again in case you did not see it because if you are not in a RP (role playing) guild yet, your talents are being wasted. You need to find people who will appreciate your enthusaism for the game and story-telling abilities b:victory

    Their forum link: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=424942

    Their website: http://sanctum-rp.forumotion.net/

This is just one RP faction that I know of, though I am sure there must be others out there. Thanks for the read.

good heavens! it seems as though my tale continues!

And so I started off from the orchid temple into the shining tide wood, my confidence full to bursting after my short overview of the forums.

My path took me still north, as did my need for Proper training grounds, more suited to my level.
Into deep, rolling hills I wandered, not even suspecting my newest peril was close at hand.
The beasts I encountered were few and far between a giangut araneid among them.
I soon found myself atop the splendor of the mountain of the tortoise god, where peaceful meditation soon claimed me. To the north! My legs bade me, and I gave myself no quarter in heeding their call. After harvesting some much needed supplies from the vivid and lush environment, I soon found myself in a field of stones and a new training ground revealed itself to me! “Huzzah!” I screamed whilst charging down the mountain to slay a level eleven irontail lynxus.
Indeed, the fiends were legion, squama and others among them, I spent the rest of the day spilling their blood. I soon grew bored and made my way to the city near these dark hills.

I soon found myself in the outer perimeter of the walled stronghold, which, contrary to its name was comprised of wooden walls bearing meager sharpened ends. The overall ”stronghold” looked to be about as secure as a burning coffin. Even so it held its own rustic beauty, elevated bridges fairly high up that held a whimsical sense of appeal. The bonfires in the center of the stronghold which kept the players amused by the wonderful lighting they produced. This place was clearly a wondrous sight especially with the forest surrounding it like the claws of some waiting animal surrounding it In the dead of night.
After meeting Mo the wizard it struck me that I had arrived in the lands of man.

Indeed many of the players here in this hovel were human, not untamed.

Soon I was wandering the hill of the swarm in search of worthy opponents or low grade materials for my blacksmithing skill, all the while keeping the walled stronghold within eyeshot, for I would require their services once more. The glow of the moon was my only companion on this long and arduous venture, her silver glow and unusually enormous girth a comforting sight. The night was filled with unworthy opponents, some aggressive, some keeping to themselves.

Now, as I found myself on the edge of the hidden heroes’ village high up on a mountain, I bore witness to the vast city of etherblade, a prominent tower jutting out of the cliffs and quietly challenging the night sky, the walls of the city apparent even from this distance, and a humble campfire just below nestled within what must be the hidden heroes village. With a sigh of resignation I threw my eyes skyward to the moon, set my newly crafted smithy’s hammers upon my shoulders and trudged wearily toward my goal, etherblade.

I was running towards the rising sun, not walking or sneaking, but running.
My dual hammers leading the way. I plowed through many a low rank beast before my wits began to tire me, here, on the outskirts of etherblade. Is soon grew bored and teleported to the nearest town.

The first sight to greet me was the spectacle of a giant winged insect golden in hue. Accompanied by its tamer, a human wizard, I now knew without a doubt, I was in etherblade city(also laggy) etherblade seemed to be built into the crevice in which it was located there was even a bridge in one area that spanned its midsection. As I walked down the busy( and still laggy) streets I was invited into the mora tong guild, which I promptly dismissed for this wolf works alone! b:victory
Finally I found my way out of the city of etherblade and once again into the mountainous wilds, where my legs bade me northbound. Under a pine tree I challenged another player to a duel but to no avail. So northward I went following the roads and my own wandering heart. Now into the iron snow drifted claws of the thousand wood ridge I descend!

After a little more walking a was assaulted by the dreaded level twenty snow hare! I fought the beast expecting to barely win, my potions running dry! My tongue running even drier! My fighting reached a fever pitch and my skills were hurled with abandon! We were evenly matched, he and I but I soon proved victorious!

......is what I would love to say but I was thoroughly trounced and sent to timber field crying for my eviscerated pride.

    by a snowhare....

    a cute cuddly level twenty......

This villain in fluffy bunny disguise is starting to truly antagonize me! I wandered out into the fields for yet more training when who do I encounter? But the cute little snow hare himself! Again! I thought to catch him alone as the celestial white tiger and slay the fiend once and for all, but alas, just as last time when victory seemed close at hand the fiend got the upper hand in pure endurance and I fell( as did my experience!)b:angry Must I continue to watch my back from this fluffy terror!?
Must I continue hoping that one day I shall be strong enough to slaughter bunny!?b:surrender
Good heavens! What is this beast!?b:cry

Good heavens! I am going to post yet another excerpt from my book!
I want you professional opinion of this bit as it is my first novel.b:thanksb:thanks

The deep forests were her home, her playground, she was raised by farrigan to be tough, to survive but she never thought she would ever cope with this. Farrigan had warned her that friendship was dangerous but this was truly comical. The grass was lush and green this spring, the spring of her birthday, this wonderful day.

Yet…..this was not the gift she had imagined. Whatever it was it was big, it was angry and hungry, she heard of these beasts, jabberwocks they were called, large four legged creatures with no body hair save for around their necks and the face of a dragon, and large ears like a rabbit’s. the midsection of the beast was sleek and pantherish however, and the paws were large and the claws sharper than the finest blades. The jabberwocky was sniffing the ground for her scent, its rider was cloaked and hooded, her face covered by a firm cloth. The evening sunlight poured out of the trees golden and wondrous.

The pines were half burnt, giving off the smell of wood smoke quite pervasively. The deep moss and undergrowth throwing off glittering flecks of pollen and dust with every step the immense beast took. She was high in a tree, grinning at her newfound prey, she was a tall and gangly young woman of sixteen, her hair cut shoulder length by an amateur, was red in the dusk sunlight.

Her face still had the remnants of a freckled childhood and she wore only leather armor of the deepest black, her belt affixed with different homemade poisons and daggers just for the occasion such as this.
She was watching her intended target from a fairly large branch as the jabberwocky sniffed out her trail gingerly and with unusual delicacy, raising more dust with each step it took through the rich moss and shrubbery. The rider wasn’t even paying attention to the glimmer her blade made as she loaded the hilt with poison only she was immune to, then clicked the small opening on the hilt shut.

The jabberwocky threw its ridiculously long rabbit ears up in alarm, waiting for its target patiently while the rider looked around with alarm. The rider then made a very large mistake, she threw up her hand to signal more riders behind her to stay still. The forest was very good at hiding them, for the jabberwocks moved as the forest moved, mimicking the slow swaying of the vegetation when the wind blew, they were masters of stealth and never made a sound, but goodness did they smell when agitated!

That was what clued Shelk to their location, jabberwocks despised being ridden, it was their soft spot. The forest underbrush was thick in this valley, some of it reaching the height of a full grown elephant, most of it was just good for hiding, the rest was edible, and some made good poison. Shelk didn’t even move, she stayed still, kept breathing to a minimum and waited for the jabberwocky to grow passive again. Soon the beast lowered its ears and continued sniffing around for her scent, trying its level best to ignore the rider firmly saddled on its back.

    good heavens!

More training and a close encounter of the furry kind!

The snow was white and livid in the deep wooded areas in my training ground, every battle brought me a mere fine hair from death every time I slew a beast, the one with augments making my fighting more arduous as my celestial white tiger form slashed and **** and slaughtered my way to ten more points of experience.

My breath came in short, frozen bursts my tongue wet with the blood of my enemies, my eyes aflame!( for you see, that was the graphic effect for the white tiger.)

I bested many a beast with the energy sapping power of my flesh ream technique, my speed and health drastically increased by the powers of the tiger. As I did my gruesome handiwork, slaying these wraiths one at a time, my eyes suddenly turned white with fear, my pulse went cold in my veins, and my breath halted for a second, only a second. As my furry white nemesis, the snow hare, began hopping past me with all haste.

I expected that classic green spell of his, a long drawn out conflict which I would lose! To my fanatic enthusiasm though, the furry little fiend rushed past me as though I did not exist and left me to my continued reaving and slaughtering in the cold depths of the thousand wood ridge. The moon shone overhead like an unholy matron of pain or a shattered mirror of sorrow, and my killing field continued to grow for the rest of the night.b:sin

    good heavens!b:victory

The day greeted this wolf with a brisk, chill and midday clouds governing my training ground, and I set off, not as the white tiger, but as the wandering wolf. My dual hammers at the ready, I met the newest challenge my foes presented with yet more gusto than before!

By the time I was done my hammers now shone bright crimson with the shared blood of my enemies and I now boasted the proud level of 14! To my credit many a wraith fell to my newfound power and with a hoot and a yell I restocked my potions and withdrew for a moment. (For you see the bunny was still after me!) after waiting for the furry white fiend to leave the area I continued my training for a time, the icy cold snow crunching under my deerskin boots, the air coalescing around me like a the wings of a fallen angel from the northern reaches of heavens highest tiers.

The spray of snowflakes in this frigid realm reminded me of an ocean fighting against a mighty hurricane for its oft lost self-control before finally giving in to a tidal wave, crashing down on the rocks of some forsaken beach.

The sky was a crystal clear blue dotted with many an icy cloud overhead whilst somber meditation stole my soul from perfect world and my thoughts began to run wild with the innate desire to become stronger than asura himself. Aaah the peace and quiet of the thousand wood ridge, sometimes accompanied by the loud hiss of a nearby fiend or rumbling of a peaceful magmite was almost too serene for my restless heart to bear as my whiskers began to twitch with that newfound indignation I soon realized that my training would soon have to come to an end in favor of wandering once more! But where to go?

I had already endured the brutal and deadly trek north; I had joined a squad and found my soul was still not ready for such companionship….what if I desired revenge? My thoughts wandered to the many humiliating defeats at the hands of that insufferable snow hare, my nemesis in this frozen hinterland, the rabbit! I told myself, it would be my newest goal! That fiend would pay for his meddling in my training and I would hold his furry pelt over my head in triumph!

    good heavens!

This day victory had found me, as my tongue rolled out like a tapestry being unfurled and my mind reeled at the revelations I soon came to realize, my foe was gone! The little bunny who hounded me from my first day in the thousand wood ridge was no more! The monster had fallen and after a full two days of desiring revenge, I had finally tasted it! My cackling laughter erupted like a volatile disease from out of my throat and resounded off the trees like bells chiming from the grim reaper’s clothing.. indeed I felt like the reaper that day, my crazed efforts to gain strength and defeat my litte fuzzy foe had finally paid off! My feverish training had sated my bloodlust!. Now as my laughing finally slowed it turned instead into the tormented sobs of pity, as a poison slowly weakens the body so too did my relish in this most fortuitous of events. And finally my sobs ended with” poor little bunny.” And I shall say no more of the creature….

I wandered back into the little desolate outpost to witness a player on the ground. I kicked him only to find he was dead, he was a red skinned human blademaster of little consequence however my newfound curiosity took hold and I tried to engage him in conversation in an attempt to force his revival. ”good sir!” I shouted, my temperament fading fast. I soon gave up with a “must be a vagrant” just then another human blademaster screamed at me from behind “ you killed him you ****!” to my shock he seemed ready to slay me and already my mood was grim, so I challenged him first and he hastily accepted yelling. “I’ll kill you!” “fine” I muttered and we began.

He began with a series of double thrusts and a parry while my more cumbersome axe missed the nimble figure with every swing.
I hastily swallowed a potion and tried to use stomp of the beast king, he evaded that by jumping high into the air and launching an aerial attack which tore right through me, I then promptly lost the duel and was felled by him. Panting and gasping for breath the blademaster walked calmly past me and whispered into my ear.
“Get that weak **** outta this town, now!” I was only able to thank him for the match, and then continued my silent vigil over the corpse trying to find a way to revive him. After a while I grew bored with the body and left for more bunny free training in the wilderness nearby. The rest of the day was a fruitful experience harvest!
