    Wrong again. It is 16% less DD anyway, no matter how fast the squad is. Because no squad will take down 16% HP faster than the time it uses to cast STA. Even the Demon Spark animation takes longer...

    lol ok.... a day later.... Aurores. Ya i misworded my first post that Ninn quoted. But did u happen to notice were were saying the SAME **** afterwards? I knew before hand how it works..... knew everything he put in that "dumbed down" explantion like he was talking to me like a child.... THIS WHOLE ARGUMENT was ridiculous cause we're saying the same damn thing far as how STA works! Which i guess means you're tellin Ninn's he's talking absurd nonsene too? Michael's was actually the ONLY post that told me anything new, and now that i know that about other bosses he mentioned.. like i said i WILL lvl it.

    This argument's been over.... drop this **** and stick to the thread. (although it's been so derailed..... ugh)

    Arena's got a point too... I might've exxagerated the HP on a boss .... jsut going by what i've hit .... but ya higher **** where's bosses have that much HP....

    For what it's worth, I just recently updated the Myths and Misinformation page of the wiki with the Reduced EXP/SP After Reducing Max HP section, which covers the reduced EXP/SP when using Sharpened Tooth Arrow (STA).

    Anyways, as someone else said, I often hear "lag" as an excuse for people doing dumb things. I'm sure it's the truth some times, but other times I don't see how lag explains why you just used a huge AoE attack on mobs we had no need to attack in the first place (or other similar things that lag wouldn't cause).

    I was recently in a FB59 squad where one wizard complained that it would take forever since we weren't wining it, but it was made up of 4 level 70s, a level 97 blademaster, and the level 60 sin who was doing the FB. It ended up that the wizard was the one slowing everyone down. I asked in the beginning if there was anyone NOT stacked, and nobody answered. So I said, "Cool! We're all stacked. Let's go!" But after the first boss, wiz leaves squad to turn in. While waiting for him at the next boss he finally mentions that he just needed Zimo to turn in, and the rest were stacked.

    Later, after Qianji, we head for Drake, and he's waaayyy behind, so we ask if he's coming. Then he asks where we're going next. We say we're waiting at Drake for him. He says that we're all standing around, and he's with us. We then spend the next five minutes telling him, over and over, to go to Drake and that he has map lag, so he's just seeing ghosts. Eventually he "gets it", but then somehow gets lost on the way to Drake. The BM and I go back for him, and he's just standing around at Qinghua, Maker of Lightning, doing nothing. We had to yell at him to even get him back to the center so he could go around to Drake. After we got Drake and were heading to the next boss I asked him why he was just standing at Qinghua, and do you know what his excuse was? Me neither, he refused to answer the question. b:beatup

    I guess I should have expected something like that when he, a level 7x wizard, was shocked, shocked I say!, to discover that the maps in the instances don't show dots for the party members. b:chuckle

    this is kinda of topic but reading this thread reminded me on a bh 51 on my bm.

    well needless to say my bm (StormClash) can tank every boss in in instance +5 2 immac garnet anni of souls and at at like lvl 63 has 3.9k hp unbuffed.

    so i ran in and did aoe.. on what up until that point.... i assumed were physical mobs with alter marrow physical on.

    Killing level 80's with a lvl 60 is a lot more fun than killing level 90's with a level 100.

    +5 on level 60 fists? No offense but you're either rich or stupid. Well... that or someone else was rich or stupid and sold them to you for a good price or you're borrowing them :P Either way.. I hope it was someone else o.o

    Anyway.. was in FC last week and we were killing Oceanic Master, as we got him to 5k HP he spawned his minion and the other Blademaster used Cyclone Heel. It wiped us and he reset and he was like "Oh sorry, didn't know" He was level 86. I don't care how bad you are at FC, if you've done it before and you're level 86 you know not to AoE on that boss. Damn fails >.>

    Still a huge waste considering they won't last you for very long xD Grats though, sniped me a Sky Demon's Pearl mold for 300k yesterday, oh! and a -6 channeling ring for 500k :)

    my favorite and the most common "i know how to play my class"

    a few examples of times this is used: bm with level 1 roar at 98, barb useing swords to try and tank (no axes), veno that had no fox skills at level 101, archers thst STA the main pull in FCC with their +1 dragonbow...then get pked later that day by a uncharmed 7x barb, sin with 2x water shards in weapon, any bm everwith evade ornaments, wizzies with water sheild on in TW, any arcane in pk with mag or evade ornaments, clerics that dont heal, clerics that only heal themselves, clerics that dont level IH, archers that dont level STA, anyone in game with a weapon 30 levels under them as their main, anything yulk says ever, (and for the old timer bm's) fists suck they hit like 700 per hit compared to my axes 9k highland cleaves (Lyndura)
    Gifs are hard to make work here

    This happened in FC over this weekend. Oddly the barb went right to the Oxen looking boss where those mobs spawn... In this FC he killed each set of mobs where they stood - not gathering them and in this area, ignored the corner mobs....

    But the rest of the squad went right to the corner mobs & the BM did his stun. Cleric did not know who to run to and started healing the BM & others. Cleric was getting hit now by mobs and one stray archer mob that followed her in.

    I sent my Herc to the boss since it was pretty close and forcefully TOOK aggro from the Barb so he would not die. Then I attacked the corner mobs- sealing/aoeing. Killing specifically the mobs aiming the Cleric.

    The first lady mob spawned and I stunned it and sent Herc to kill her, while he held aggro from the boss still. When it slipped, and the Barbs HP went down, I got Herc to hit boss and pull aggro back. The Cleric had to rez some of the squad and I finished killing off the mobs that were on her and using Demon Bramble on them as they came over and started helping the Barb.

    The Barb I guess had no clue was I was doing, and later tried to pk me in experience room.

    Honestly I got so mad I logged out.

    I've done some stupid things. Lol, earlier today I ran ahead of the group in Wraithgate and was killed. Reason: My cat decided to walk on my keyboard and happened to press 'W'. b:surrender I told my cat she owes me .3% EXP <_< (and yes, my mom took pictures to prove it since she thought it was ADORABLE b:angry).

    I used the one you mentioned: "IM DRUNK"

    but not as an excuse, but as a warning before starting TTs or Gamma...i had a group of friend i used to RB with who called me "the drunk tank". Every time i ended up doing the job fine btw b:chuckle



    i happened to excuse myself with "GOT LAG", cuz it happens to me in some point in game.
    IE when gathering all the hallway to the slasher boss (or **** ? i dont remember, long time inactive) i usually got lag when returning back, but since im used to it, i ask for IH and winged before starting gather...



    right now i dont remember the fail excuses ive heard, but i know when im wrong and how im wrong (usually)
