    most elementals are better but, it's too much of an hassle to add, remake, add, repeat for each element.

    What about an archer using claws or fists with elemental shards? Don't elemental shards have more +dmg than garnets? Do archers have any mastery/skill/anything what would profit more from garnets than elemental shards?

    This would almost work. For the same price, you could get a much higher grade elemental shard than a garnet, which would indeed add more damage per hit. The problem comes when you try to Spark, which is when the bigtime fist/claw damage comes in. Spark works as a multiplier of your base phys weapon attack, to which garnets are added, and hence multiplied. Elementals, as has been previously stated, only provide a straight add on, which does not get modified by Spark.

    The real answer to this question is it depends on how you play the game. If you want to put citirines in your weapons ur free to do so. If you want elemental shards in your weapon your free to. If you want physical shards in your weapon your free too. It's just opinon really, if someone feel they do more dmg w/ certain shards then let them use them. It's your char, your account, your game, knock yourself out.
