You're right, it wasn't explicitly stated that it was forbidden to discuss the applicants right away; I think the mods and I were just a little worried that such discussion would lead to a flame war, which is why threads quickly got closed

I think you're right here too. It would be silly/ridiculous to try to stop you guys from discussing the mod applicants, so I'm revising the policy:

Go ahead and discuss the applicants, just keep it out of the application sticky. Also, know that threads that get flame-y will be closed.

So.. Go forth and discuss!

but it also can turn out to be something good (for him).. cuz f.e. if i gonna support application of his secret font color advisor, then i will have to actually obey him as mod.

Anyway, though, yeah, it will be interesting, but to think it might solve something is silly. I think post people who've modded for years know why choosing mods is an internal process.
