Is TW is going bad?

Regarding the whole "full roster" issue.

I am in a guild who recruits 90+. It has been a long, long time since we fielded 80 people in a TW. Mostly we win because usually it's lower level guilds bidding on the 1 land we have but that is beside the point. You're going to ban Maiya, 10x veno who's been paying since CB, in a guild full of 9x and 10x for "fake bidding" because we don't field 80 people for TW?

Contradict yourselves much? One says that the changes are to give small factions a chance and to make things more competitive so that large factions can't just steamroll everyone (which, I shall add, was thoroughly proven as a load of bull. Then this comes along stating that if you don't have a real chance or happen to be one of those people it's supposed to be "easier" on, you shouldn't bid. So now he top factions don't even have to worry about defending because, and let's be honest here, 95% of each server's population does not fit into the category of "have a legitimate chance to win".


Thank you, staff of PWI, for proving that either you're incompetent, do not actually play the game, or are being forced to feed us bull that the folks upstairs think the playerbase is stupid enough to even consider as accurate for half a second.

TW for fun had nothing about being low levelled, the point was before these rules, what we deem low levels (70/80) had the ability to at least take part.

and once again i state: SHOULD NOT and CANNOT are two different things; they can still take part, and no one is stopping them.

where did i say this 'change' was 'good?' putting words in my mouth and/or making assumptions isnt even a valid point. what i did say is that i get sick about how the forum thinks they need to ***** and whine about every little thing that goes on in the game regardless of its pro or cons.

Bidding

Any willing and capable faction can bid on any opposing territory provided they have no affiliations with the current owners. The bids can only be made if the faction has a real intention of attacking and trying to win the territory.

theonly time fake bid is used is once in the intro saying people cannot abuse it, and once in the ending saying that if they do they will be banned.

Yes - if a guild can get banned for sending 40 high levels in and trying their best then I would assume no-showing would certainly be bannable.

The sad thing is that the guild on DW who started this all witht heir false reports intentionally gave up all of their land a while ago - and admitted it over WC - in order to punish another guild they didn't feel was doing enough to help them.

I was never into the TW scene much but I think I remember that. Stupid is as stupid does, I suppose, and it's beyond ridiculous that the entire game has now had to pay for those misdeeds.

Yet that still doesn't really help the GMs case any with the recent bans that probably shouldn't have happened. And you're right; the GMs have just shot Dreamweaver in the foot with Calamity so close to owning the entire map.

Zen boycotts have been suggested in the past and have not worked. Nor will they work this time. Even with so many outraged players, the few who didn't TW in the first place or didn't care about it won't give a damn and will carry on purchasing their zen when and how they want to.

It's the one suggestion that has admittedly gotten really old. Zen boycotts would not get the point across, because not enough people would boycott the zen.

There's not much we can actually do to get the company's attention at this point.

TW really is pointless now. The only real reasons ppl TW now are for the killcount and and self-pride.

On HT, the 2nd top faction is "hellbent" on winning the top faction. That falls into pride. :P

you completely failed to acknowledge that nowhere does it say they will be accused and or have punitive action taken against them. prior errors on GM part have nothing to do with these new rules where not once does it say small factions can and will be accused of said crimes. lrn2read moron.

Can some1 explain to me y only 1 faction is being punished for this? wat happened to all the other factions who attacked the controllin power who never had a legitimate chance of winning? And in Inversion's defence, that last TW against Cala, we were on their crystal, it's just Cala was hittin ours harder. Who said mayb 1 weekend Cala has a poor turn out and we actually win. It happened with us and EQ didnt it?
As for Dreamweaver, pretty much it can be seen that soon enough EQ wont stand too much of a chance either, does that mean no1 can attack Cala anymore? wheres the fun gone? Common PWI, u used to b cool, wat happened? xD
