We will be having server maintenance tonight from:


11:00pm PDT until 1:00am PDT



And to kick off the usual maintenance conversation:



What kind of creative contest would you like to see next: Graphical (i.e Calendar Contest), Audio (involving music), Literary (involving writing), or Video (Machinema style)?

    Re-localized at Warsoul Spirit NPC to match up with PWI Encyclopedia. Please note that the actual percentages have not changed.

    as for contest something where everyone has a chance at winning not just those good with video or music help the masses.

    Why don't we have some GM events in this game?

    And by events, I mean where you get to meet the GM's and maybe they take ya to a place that isn't in game yet maybe do some mob killings or just some kind of thing to have some fun and at the end everyone that shows up gets something not just a couple high lvl's with tons a store bought boutique gears getting everything all the time.

    I know the event suck for low lvl people because they don't have a chance of getting ****.

    Just a good old fashioned meet and greet...heck they've done it on other games why not this one?

    As I recall, we had some when frankie become the community manager. Death from Above being one. However, we haven't had anything quite like that since.

    the last one i remember was the cube runs, and they gave everyone 5 hyper stones at the end...heck i still have them in the bank never used them yet :p


    But still ya had to be at least mid to high level to do it

    I liked the previous suggestion someone had of a armor/ weapon design contest.
    But then again I don't think that's such a great idea after thinking about how the fashion contest went... b:shocked

    true but all they need to do this time is provide a base template onto which all submissions must be made

    Contest:give out the source code and see who can fix rubberbanding and memory leak the fastest. Shouldnt take more than a few hours to have both fixed.

    Pretty much this.

    I want a GM event that doesn't require a $10,000 machine to render every. single. player. on the server at once (looks at Cube/Death from above events). Holy hell were those lag-fests. I usually quit before it even really starts due to system lock-ups.

    And I built this rig to actually play games. -.-

    I wonder whats going to come form this maintenance.... most likely another sale or something...

    I just hope they finally fix that bug with clerics magic shell/Aegis spirit timer not resetting if you do it again.. b:pleased

    I remember doing the HL event... it was a complete PK & Lag fest. Of course, PK won't be a problem since I switched to PVE server, but still. Would be awesome to have a server wide event... but maybe space out the mobs a bit more so not everyone rushes to Hidden Orchid or wherever the event takes place, which would cut down on some of the lag, and give people more fair of a fight. So. Much. KSing.

    I would like to have an event where two factions can compete to own territory and the wining faction gets paid a weekly coin amount.

    Early unofficial patch link: Patch 408-409 (8.9 MB)

    Don't install this patch until the servers are offline, or else you won't be able to log in until after they come back up from maintenance.

    At 8.9 MB there are probably only faction icon updates and minor changes, but that's just a guess.

    As for what kind of contest I'd like to see? I'd probably enjoy another machinima contest. I still chuckle over things from the "PWI - Perfectly Lost" video from an earlier contest.

    But, I also do like the armor design contest idea. You could get 14 different sets of armor (male and female for each of the 8 classes, except the Untamed classes), thus 14 winners that way. (Or you could go the standard, HA/LA/AA, for 6 winners, but I'd like to see class-specific armors and bonuses.) However, it only works if the armor actually gets implemented in the game. Having to work from templates is a good idea too, since it reduces the odds of people simply stealing someone else's image (though, admittedly, it doesn't eliminate copying entirely).
