Endgame gear impossible to farm without CS?

I'm kind of one of those people who love working for my stuff...
But when you've got people in Nirvana gears dying on 3-3 arma boss and saying its too hard for them..I think there's something wrong there. And for me, it's as if I have no hope-as I've said a million times, Arch server has no real market for these mats and very few people can do the required runs to even get the 99 gear let alone survive with 99/Nirvana/CS event gear.
I don't even have 99 Gold and if I wanted to go in there to EARN my gear (NOT QQ about not having it mind you...actually trying to work for it >___> ) little to no one is willing to run a 4-5 hour TT run where they still can't kill that boss. The secrets of 3-1 and 3-2 bosses have been mostly figured out (but with still massive charm tickc, solo tanking by the barb the last few k's of health etc.) its almost better to just farm Lunar than farm TT with the way it's all set up. Im not saying I'll give up on farming TT gears-I'm just saying by the time I hit the level to do it, no one will take me unless I restat heavy vit and have half event gear. XD
Before anyone say's "oh, you noob just go and buy your mats, sell lower TT mats and buy your more expensive mats"-I am on Arch server. There is no real market for 3-2/3-3 mats. The only reason why we have Nirvana geared players on Arch is because they rushed to 100 in the first months of the server before the changes then CS'd their armor before doing the actually Nirvana runs. No one on this server is farming to sell-they are farming and keeping the mats in their respective factions OR using it for their own gear.
And hey, Im a no lifer, but I don't "have an inordinate amount of clout" over the community. I don't CS to even have a voice... @___@Tamias-

from what ive seen, tried, and failed to accomplish, i for one speak firsthand to say that the blanket term of merchanting fails to amass any type of wealth for the general community. there are a number of flaws that make only the most capitalistically savvy players able to play the market to their advantage.
#1 unstable economy
-due to a number of game changes; be it packs, updates like TT/lunar, sales, etc. there is way too much fluctuation in prices of valuables. one day you can see a cheap item, only to suddenly spike in price due to its new demand/rarity. perfect example: when they randomly changed chip prices, suddenly you see multimillion coin items suddenly raising or dropping by more than 2-3x original value.
#2 limited markets
-name to me one market that hasnt been capitalized on, and ill show you proof of flying unicorn donkeys. every time a new idea comes up, someone catches on, and puts it to his use, suddenly you have point 3
#3 huge competition
-if everyone is trying this merchanting idea, with the huge number of catshops, locations of convience, etc, it makes it incredibly hard to sell things sometimes! you have everyone and their cousin with similar prices, its like putting literally a burger king, mcdonalds, rallys, and wendies in the same spot. all serving the same products, just different prices. how does anyone win? you could lower your prices and make a small, but quick profit... you could buy out said competition, and jack up your prices... or you could go straight to the source and make a vertical monopoly by dominating the source, ie world bosses for p gems. it makes for a nasty market.
this is just the basics of a number of flaws the blanket opinion of merchanting has, but not including time, capita for investment, computer/internet access, etc.
frankly the easiest, and pretty much only way to keep up with the jones' is to use the CS if you want to see the godliest of godly gears. otherwise, youre stuck with on par stuff, which if you're not looking to be the best, is just fine P:.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

The gold is. it's G13 over TT99s G12. And the Lunar-Nirvana gears are pretty damn good stuff. Some people risk to employ me
Some people live to destroy me

Kids should not be getting less than 8 hour sleep a night, that they can easily manage doesn't mean it's healthy. Is the other way around, seniors do effectively require less sleep. And your comment on time management does seem to leave out the fact most people either work 8 hours a day or dedicate an equivalent amount of time to productive activities. Even if you're lucky enough to only work 6 hours a day you still have to take into account meals and commute times. And don't tell me that owning your own bussiness will afford you more time, those people work longer hours as a general rule.
So, out of 24 hours you sleep for eight and work for eight, which leaves you eight hours. A couple you miss in either commutes or meals, that's six. One you have to give to general hygiene (showers, brushing your teeth, shaving/make up, clipping your nails, physiological needs, etc.), one to exercise, and one to general household stuff (paying bills, running errands, buying groceries, laundry, etc.) which makes three. That's for your friends/family and leisure which, amongst adults, may also include music, books, movies, etc. Some of us actually do go to the theater... Now, you may say you don't exercise or don't actually spend a full hour a day in toiletries (which you should if we are talking about a healthy life) but even making whatever adjustments you like an adult will rarely have more than four hours (weekdays) to do as he/she chooses. Personally i have a maid that takes care of most stuff around the house, but i do take more than a couple of hours for meals since i do enjoy fine dining and either i'll go out and have a few drinks with some friends or will cook for myself while watching the tele. And as an adult i may sometimes have a friend over...
Two hours seems about right to me, for a full week (playing three on weekends) that's two eight hour shifts worth of playtime, which is certainly what i would consider comitted to a hobby. More than that and you're cutting into some other important aspect of your life. Two hours a day with a wife and kids i don't see how i could manage, as it is i may not log in everyday already. Four hours a day is already the equivalent of a part time job.
Sure, i understand there may be special cases. If you're stuck on an hospital doing a round of chemo then by all means play for as long as you like.
And for the people who seemed to have jumped at my comment about those playing over two hours ruining the game just look at what is it exactly such players demand from the GMs/devs. The shut-ins, basement dwellers, lonely kids and no lifers in general do have an inordinate amount of clout over the comunity. And do use their power to further their own ends, not to benefit us all...
That is exactly my point, 2 hours a day is not "no-lifing" if you're doing all of those other activities. 2 hours is in fact pretty casual, which is what you just said in this point. Basically we agree with each other. In your previous post, however, you made it sound like 2 hours a day was "no-lifing". I was just sayin its not.0 -

To clarify, "no-lifing" is spending any amount of time greater than that which MANray_ spends, which is of course the perfect amount and the gold standard to which we all should cling.0 -

In this post's case, Nirvana is not end game armor in regards to playability. While Nirvana is better than most of the previous items, no new content was added that requires wearing Nirvana. Even Nirvana itself was weaker than pre-patch TT instances. So for being able to play the game, Lunar/TT/OHT is still able to be considered end game for casual play. Nowhere is Nirvana armor currently needed, it is completely luxury item. Maybe if they add high level content, that could change. Until then, the old standard still works.Fist are the worst at PvP AND PvE, if you disagree, as I said, take it to PM's or make your own guide. Go here if you want to debate about it. - Lyndura

I am reminded of a demotivation al poster I read:
SENSE
This post makes none.
So the idea, is that we farm our end game gear, so we can go back and do an instance to get non-endgame gear, with the reasoning being we need Tapioca to put in our socks to appease the refrigerator gods I suppose. If we have actual end game gear, why would we farm non-endgame gear as the end goal? Because if someone got the endgame, they already have the farming/coin making needed for refines or buying needed mats. Add in that people are doing 3-3 without nirvana gear, and I can truly see absolutely no logical basis in this post whatsoever. It's an attempt, I'll give it that.
As an aside, the patch is a completely separate issue. Add in that people are beating it without Nirvana gear, using the OHT/TT/Lunar gear as already noted as playable end game, and nothing has changed from what I previously posted.
EDIT: Possibly read in some inaneness to the post that I was thinking no one would be stupid enough to post taking the quoted one as literal, and if it is a joke then it is nothing against you. But you know there are some morons out there that would have actually thought that was a good point. In which case, this post and birth control is for them.Fist are the worst at PvP AND PvE, if you disagree, as I said, take it to PM's or make your own guide. You're an idiot if you actually took her post that seriously. b:bye
Edit: I mean, don't you realize that farming Nirvana is easier than farming 99 gold now? That's like, part of the joke.... or don't you get it? Hmm... I suppose you possibly don't.I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.0
