    I wanted to post a concern of mine about the contest.

    I nocited that you plan to use community for voting, and I only wanted to say, that from previous MMOs Ive played, when contests (with prizes) are set up with a community voting scale, I cant say always, but there always usually seemed to be someone who decides to make 2696725 accounts to vote for themselves with, so that theyll win.

    Im not saying this will happen here, but it could if there isnt a proper way to maintain ppl from doing it...

    please keep this in mind :/

    I do have the same concern actually. I think now it might help with the fact that there are profiles... making the voting public and not anonymous may help regulate people making a **** ton of accounts to vote with. I mean heck, you can only think up of so many names before they start sounding similar.

    I dont even think thatd work, but I have a suggestion, its really the only thing I can think of.....

    make it so ppl have to post thier vote with thier main acct, in a specific forum topic for it, and make it so thier char lvl has to be over a certain lvl. something high enough ppl wont wanna lvl a char to that lvl just to vote once for themselves, but not high enough for alot of ppl not to be able to vote also

    or any other idea anyone has to keep voting fair :/

    I don't even think it should be public at all. If there was some kind of a blocked function or something that everyone would trust using specially for polls then fine but you can't gaurantee the fairness of this competition with the public voting... :/

    But without public voting, I'm sure a lot of people are going to think the judging is biased, seeing as a lot of Hope's friends are in the competition. Even if it is a "fair" judging, it's hard to critize your friends and therefore, she might just vote on them based on friendship.

    That's not what I'm saying. xD The competition is for EVERYONE, and her friends entered it. Wouldn't you feel bad if your friends didn't win/get some place in the end result of a competition you hosted? I'm not saying Hope is gonna actually do this, I'm just thinking... it's what I'd do if I hosted a competition... Which is why I don't host them. b:avoid

    Yes, I suppose to some degree there will be bias (lol kinda makes you think of those terms and conditions for competitions; "people affiliated with company X may not enter in the competition"), but I suppose Hope is trying to reduce that "bias-ness" by introducing the public voting. There will also probably be bias voting when a finalist gets his/her faction mates, IG friends etc to vote for him/her.

    Yes, there is a chance that a person would make 702340234 accounts and vote for him/herself but that person would also need 702340234 email addresses, passwords, screen names, etc. and as much as a contestant would like to win, I don't think anyone's up to do that... :| and as Kyna mentioned, there's only so many names you can come up with before it starts sounding similar.

    A thing Hope could do is to make it a public vote and manually fish out fake/similar sounding account names and manually tally the final vote, but there will probably be a guy going "hey that wasn't a fake account you bridge troll!!!11!!1 QQ". However this will also be tre time consuming so bleh >_>

    I don't know, I guess in the end we have to trust Hope and everyone else in their votes.

    We may have different opinions on what "pretty" is, but everyone's generally attracted to attractive things and I honestly can't wait until it's time to vote. I have my votes set! :D

    Today is the 14th, and you guys know what that means!

    The contest is ending tomorrow at 11:59PM EST time!

    Anyways, I'd like to address the concern you all have.
    I have read every, single post you all have posted here.
    However, it would take far too long to respond to all of them.
    For all of those wondering about the voting and the bias involved,
    here is my answer:
    Yes, to make it less biased, the judging panel consists of:

    Me (BeingHope - Raging Tide)
    My sister (Lady_Allora - Raging Tide)
    My friend in real life J. (I have decided to not give out her full name)
    My friend in real life A. (Same reason as above)
    And additionally.... my mom....

    Today, I will re-edit this post to show you all how we're going to vote on all your characters.
    It will consist of variables in it to prevent biasing as much as possible.
    Yes, I may be biased with some votes.
    But 4/5 of the judges (my sister does not go on the forums) do not know you all.
    So theres less bias there.

    Also, the voting.
    I have decided to make votes show everyones name.
    That way at the end, I can go through all of them and take out names I'm guessing are fake accounts.
    I will go personally through every, single, profile that votes in the final voting threads.
    I hope that will also eliminate the fake accounts.



    To say that there will be no bias is impossible.
    Everyone is biased in one way or another.
    There is no such thing as an un-biased person.



    But there are ways to eliminate as much of it as possible.
    Please trust me and everyone and lets keep this all happy, alright?
