Once i have my PC, i will test out a Archer.:p

*Just my opinion for a 1st char I got a cleric, they are almost always wanted in parties; while DDs (archers, mages, etc are extra.). I might be wrong. Depending on char lvl & gear almost all can tank the majority of dungeons. Though barbarians have it much easier.

Maybe i can get a Friend to play it with me, will be even more Fun.
If you get a friend maybe roll barb or bm (riskier) & a cleric. Then you could probly solo most of the dungeons, though it will take long. For instance during 1st BH quests during lvl 40-50, you might be having a hard time finding a squad. A lot of people lvl up pretty fast or nag a high lvl char to solo their dungeon lol.

But as Archer i wont use Fists/Claws, eh?
b:embarrass Yes... yes you will... If you want to be considered a good DD for farming instances. But that's mostly from +lvl89 & especially 99/100 because certain -interval gear becomes available.

Blademasters can use different weapon & are also real fist users & actually have skills to go along with them. However, Barbarians, Archers, Sins (though their weapons can be pretty good too; but it's more expensive for them to reach really high speed with dagger weapons) & Venos can also use fists, but have no skills to go along with them. lol you haven't tried playing yet, so it's hard to explain how it works.

Are there acctualy Crossbows in the Game too? If yes, whats the Diffrent? Xbow = More Base Damage, Bow = More DPS? What Weapon is recommend for a Archer?
Archers can use bows, xbows & slingshots. Xbows have slow atk --> bow faster ---> sling fastests; but it also depends on what kind of bonus a specific weapon has. Weapons have a range in damage. So another difference is xbow have high max atk, but low min one. Slings low max atk, but higher min one. Bows kind of in the middle. Meh you'll choose weapons as you lvl up.
And another important Thing to me, what on what Server should i start? Of course Servers are always the same, but the Economy isnt. Most of the Time either the oldest or the youngest Server is the best to start with, what about here? Im downloading it atm, creating a Char and hang arround for 5 Minutes, until the Lagg gets massive :p
There is a difference in servers here. Whe nyou'll be choosing which server to ply on you'll see which server is PvP or PvE.

PvP - when you hit lvl 30, you're free game for all. You can atk & kill other players & they can do the same to you. You can also loose stuff if you get killed, unless you'll use special items that prevent this.

PvE - you can only kill/be killed if you switch on the PK option manually after turning 30.

I really dunno which server to advise. Wouldn't go for Tide or Archosaur lol. Hear not that populated.

Also don't spend any RL money lol. You'll see lots of nice stuff in the Game Boutique Shop - clothes, cool looking mounts, flying aerogear lol. b:surrender I know it's hard but you need to resist the temptation. At least don't do it at the very start, take some time to see if this game is worth your while.

ROFL e-net died just as I was typing the answer, so had a time to do a long one -.-

Uhm...Fists and Claws as Archer? Cant i stick with a Bow, and be decent DD? Archer using Melee Weapons...Never seen that before.

    Edit :

I dont want to fight with my bare Hands, so should i consider roling a Sin? I like Dual Weapons very much, but if i focus on PvE ( Since PvP seems to be Cash based, or at least, Cashers get the good Stuff way faster) would Sin be a good Idea? Even though i prefer Bow-Archer..

:D Lol don't worry you'll be fine as ranged archer as well. Fists is secondary weapon I only mostly use to farm instances. Not all archers use them, it's just a trend here.

Of course, you can. However, the thing is that fists or claws get you the best damage/second rate in the whole game, so that's what people go for at endgame.

    Well, I have a 52 sin and a 92 Archer.

The reasons I started playing the sin was because it's an exact mirror of an Archer in terms of gear (Light Armor) and stats (1 str, 4 dex every level), but it far out-DPSes the Archer with similar gear. And besides, originally I was torn between a BM and an Archer, so a Sin is kinda perfect for that purpose.
If you disregard what I say because of who I am or because of the contents of what I said, you are a fool.

Hm, allright. Both sounds interesting. I think i will test both Classes, but atm i prefer Archer because of the Style.

    Lemme warn you...

Three classes suck balls at the beginning of the game:

    Archer
    Wiz
    Sin

Archer just has horrible damage at the very very beginning but picks up rather quickly. Only the first few levels are annoying, so just have patience if at first you think "wow I suck."
Wizard just absolutely sucks until at least 40. Casts slow, has no defense and it depends on Gush (slow enemy movement) and will suffer until Gush is maxed. (level 45) Without it mobs just charge the wiz and deal heavy damage. Never attack an "Increased Magic Resistance" monster with a Wizard.
Sins are like Archers, except you don't have the distance advantage. This means you've got a low HP class fighting up close, which is always bad. They get better at about 34.

Just saying this cause I've had a couple friends try PW and give up after having issues with Archers (very impatient friends) or Wizards.
If you play Archer/Sin/Wiz and find yourself frustrated, try one of the Untamed or Psys. They're much, much easier to level.

:o what are you on? At lower lvls I killed most mobs with archer before they reached me. At higher lvls with (especially dungeon) mobs that have lots of hp & hit a lot it's a prob.

I started as an Archer and then made a sin alt.

    I hope that doesn't make me a ****.

    I'm talking LOW low.
    Like under level 10.
Had a couple friends complain that they'd be shooting their hearts out to drop a mob whereas some **** cleric is dropping everything easy. After that they get easy as pie.

That's why I stressed LOW and that my friends were impatient. :P

Lol, dont worry^^ Im not that kind of Guy, im very very patient. Some of my other Games requiered a Amount of grinding, most of you probably cant even imagen. Also, im used to "Weak at the start - good at high Level" Classes,a nd in fact i prefer this way over the typical Choose a Class, and be good from Level 1 to Max Level.

In fact, i want somekind of Challenge. Not to hard, not to easy.

Just to throw it out there if you don't like this game you can try jade dynasty, another pwe game. Its more balanced, less cs dependand and soon it'll have 10 classes. Some find it boring some don't but I find it pretty fun.

Idk if naming other pwe games is bannable so sorry if its aggainst TOS.
I don't care how old or young you are, how small your **** is, how much of a nerd irl you are or how depressed you are that you never will get laid. There is no reason to act like an A-hole to everyone on an mmorpg. Its a shame that I have to take time out of my day to tell people "stop being an A-hole". So I end with this, if your acting like an A-hole, and some one tells you your being an A-hole chances are your being an A-hole.
