As noted a few posts up (with links and everything), GMs HAVE weighed in. Multi-clienting is a bannable offense.

Suffice to say, there are ways to do so undetectably, but unless you have access to better than average hardware and possess some know-how probably not available to most of the folks on this list, well... enjoy the ban.

the only way i see that they could know the difference would be to **** into your computer for both clients, and check the systems of the computers to see if their the same or not. which i believe to be illegal, cause that is considered hacking.

    LOLS!

Your so very wrong, I've never posted on these forums but your ignorance has caused me to break my vow of silence... You can easily from game server side see whose multi-client via your Mac ADDRESS which is a special code that identifies your computer accessing the game.

MAC addresses are software-changeable in the majority of cases.

that said, they're a good start. if i were writing a piece of client software, akin to the PWI client, that wanted to identify the piece of hardware it was running on for its server code's needs, the MAC address is one of the details i'd look at. but i wouldn't be fool enough to make it the only thing, nor would i expect PWI to stop at that alone.

any technological copyright protection measure can be circumvented, of course, if somebody really has nothing better to do with their life than to work at it. but for something like a free-to-play online game, it's realistically possible to make a multi-clienting detector and blocker that would be more work to get around than the game's worth. certainly for the value of my time and effort, anyway, which is why i'd rather go do something else than try to multi-client.

(there are freely available MMORPG engines --- clients and servers --- out there for the downloading that anybody can legally play with. look into the Linux/Unix/free software world, they've written most anything you care to think of and are giving away the source code with few or no strings attached. if i had time enough to even consider botting anything like PWI, i'd reach for one of them first instead of messing with somebody else's game.)

As GM's have stated several times on this game multiclienting for any reason is a banable offence.
