Ok, how is someone going to afk zhen outside of safe zone on a PvP server without getting crashed?

Also, you don't seem to realize there is a difference between zhenning and aoe grinding.

and how does the fact that i rolled on a server to play the game disallow me to post in a general discussion thread? by the logic you're using, the op should have posted this in the pvp ponderings or even better, server symposium section of the forums, the latter of which would mean (OH SNAP!!) that you don't have any damn right to reply either

I'm so frakkin tired of playerrs on here that think theyre better than other people because of the server they chose. I play this game because it actually has a fairly enjoyable story behind it. if i want to pvp i'll go play a fps. so where in the hell do you get the right to insult any of us that are from pve servers? compensating for your own shortcomings, perhaps? take it somewhere else.

And I'm so tired of seeing people talking out their butts when they have no clue what they're really talking about. Whether or not you're straight out lying or just pretending to know something and stating it as the truth when you really don't have a clue doesn't really matter, the net effect is the same. You're misinforming people without having your facts straight.

No, you said in specific that zhenning is bannable. It is not. Sorry if you can't take being told that you are not correct any better.

and for the record, back in the day before people stopped zhenning, i never once saw a squad that didnt have at least 2 people afk for over half of a 2 hour session. like i said, dinner, chores, hockey practice, you name it. being a lure, i was the only one that didnt afk through a good chunk of it

Back in the day I don't remember a single squad that tried to zhen without getting crashed every 5-15 minutes. Since the OP is asking the question from a PvP server, he just can't have a whole party afk because you can't just hide in protected mode and do that. THAT is why what I said is relevant. Just because you have some complex really doesn't matter. I was answering the OP's question in the context of his particular setting while loling at you for misinforming people and not completely grasping the context of OP's question as it would pertain to their actual server.

mainly because people tended to set up the party then everyone go afk except for the unlucky sap that got to be the bait to draw the mobs in.

Because back in the day everyone would let you go afk zhenning on the open map without trying to pk you?

as far as group grinding for exp after level 80, i don't know that anyone found any mobs that made it worth the time. now killing fish in the sea of isolation while on an eso or hyper... still good to get from 80-90.

Butterflies, bloodbirds, spiders by Intrepid, wolves at Immolation, sheildbearers, etc... there are plenty of mobs that you can aoe grind at 8x for good exp.
