Venos 100+ training flying pets on land mobs? WTH

    its not against the rules to fight land mobs with an air pet, its only wrong if the mob doesnt fight back. this was all hammered out long ago when people tried to level on a boss out near Jewel, a boss on the ground who doesnt fight against air pets. people were leveling on him-that was wrong. the rule of thumb is if the mob fights back, against your pet, its ok. i've fought Mothrans with my pig while standing on a hillside, and Huggies, RuCi, Clam Scouts, lanterns, all sorts of things, using my pig. occasionally, the mob freezes, and doesnt fight back, but 99% of the time they all do.

    if you have been up there with the Huggies, im suprised you didnt see me doing JQs on them recently, using my pig. but its impressive to see a skatefish able to do
    it!

    as for doing your quest, that area is crawling with Huggies.... or squad with that person.

    I have a screenie for anyone who wants it. Now I'm stuck with a full quest log, unable to do any quest just because madame has to train her pet???

    With time, this game is getting more and more ridiculous.

    Let's see, an obvious troll that can be seen by their shifting focus between posts through the pages, incorporating some of the things posted. And then they jump on their cleric alt, plum dumb, to keep the thread going from time to time. Wow, must suck for the veno to not have the services of a lvl 2 cleric in the future.

    hmm... I left this thread last night after someone suggested I move forward, keep playing and ignore the stupid veno. I'm overwhelmed at some of what many of you assumed: jumping on my alt to post, etc. etc...: that's even stupider than my qq'ing.

    Ok, so for a high-level veno to train her flying pet on lowbies' ground mobs is not against the rules: point taken.

    But, and this whatever any of you thinks, that kind of behaviour is highly discourteous and questionable, to say the least, just as KS'ing is, because it prevents other players to do their legitimate quests and shows an utter lack of respect for others.

    As for squadding, in my case, it was not an option.

    So, while you kept playing 'hit-the-mule" here, I finished my quest and continued to play. To most of you who are constantly bored witless: you should thank me for providing you with these few minutes of free entertainment and you should also appreciate one of my rare appearance.

    Well I will give you the answer to this from the harshland server. Attack them. You are a sin, the other player was a veno. Wait for the veno to send the pet to attack a mob then attack the veno, if you are lucky the veno will die before killing you. But no matter who gets killed problem solved, if you died the veno nolonger has to deal with you, if the veno dies you nolonger have to deal with the veno. Might not be the answer you want, but I am from Harshlands and that is how we handle it.

    No, it is neither discourteous nor questionable for a veno to either farm land mobs with an air pet or to level an air pet on land mobs (whichever she was doing), because, at least in this case, it does not prevent anyone from doing their quests. Huggy Hares are simply too plentiful for any one person to deprive anyone else of the ability to kill them for quests (as has been pointed out repeatedly in this thread). Insisting that you can kill them in that spot when she can't is no more or less courteous than the reverse.

    In some cases in PWI it's simply that the biggest dog in the fight wins; that's just the nature of the game. If you don't like that, either avoid the fight or just work to become the biggest dog. People who've worked hard to get to high levels shouldn't have to move out of the way of others for no better reason than those others are lower level.

    I see you're upset, but I honestly cannot figure out a good reason why you should be, other than the fact that she apparently made some comment to you that you found rude. If your arguments against her in chat were as misguided and insistent as they were here, I can understand why she might have been upset with you and said something rude to you.

    I don't know whether that veno was completely in the right, since I don't know the whole situation, but based on what you've written here you seem to be completely in the wrong yourself. That other veno was doing nothing wrong. If you think I'm wrong, please explain specifically why, keeping in mind the information that I and others here have explained to you.

    You admitted that you were wrong about the ToS violation, so I see you have an open mind, I'm just trying to get you to continue from there to see why everyone is trying to point out the same thing to you. Once you understand, hopefully it won't be as big a deal, and you won't get as upset if you encounter something similar in the future.
