yes true, cooldown starts when you finish channeling but still doesnt change that huge reuse
...and like i said the only class that have better advantages is wizard, they have more DD skills to chain0 -
To the people who say -channeling is the equivalent of -int, its not, its totally different.
If you take for example Black Ice Dragon Strike (blue dragon really...):
Channel 4.0 seconds
Cast 1.6 seconds
Cooldown 30.0 seconds
Now lets say you get -60% channeling (Which seriously wrecks your pdef) you would get this:
Channel 2.4 seconds
Cast 1.6 seconds
Cooldown 30.0 seconds
That is still 4 seconds from the moment its pressed to the moment its launched (Not even talking about travel time) compared to the previous 5.6 seconds. -60% is really hard to get and doesnt change much as you can see on even the longest casting skills. Now lets take gush as an example:
Channel 1.0 seconds
Cast 1.0 seconds
Cooldown 3.0 seconds
Again with the -60% channel all you get is a total channel/cast time of 1.4 seconds. In this case even -100% channeling would just double the attack speed. Note that I'm not taking cooldown into account as wizzies really have a ton of skills to click.
The -channel bonus is linear and the benefits vary depending on each skills and even at the highest it can get, its still not that great. While -int is exponential as the first few -int you put in only increase attack speed by a bit but you jump from 3.33 hit/sec to 5 with just 1 more -0.1 item. Now you can say its expensive to get 5 hit/sec, sure it is... You think getting -60channeling is free? It surely isn't, might be a bit cheaper but the benefits arent half as good...
Now that was totally of the OP's topic. The fact that AA gets less bonus on nirvana gear is ridiculous considering its in terms of percentage of defense. 4% of a tank's pdef will never be the same as 4% of a caster's pdef but somehow they still give the casters just 2% (Omg yay -.-)0 -

You guys are absolutely ridiculous.
At level 100 in AA armor you will have a total of 3k physical defense. 2% of that is 60 points of defense! You're all QQ-ing about 60 defense points!
And if magic classes got the same HP from vit and the same HP bonuses from refining what would be the point of going melee? Imagine this: barb with 22k HP hitting 1k VS cleric with 22k HP hitting 15k. GG all melee classesb:bye0 -

nobody said make magic atk or anything related to magic classes equal to melee
all started from some archer saying that -3% channleing is equal to -0.05 int and -6% channeling equal to -0.1 int and this is fair...
that was epic fail and related to this i saw another thread with r9 ring having -0.1 int i think and -6% channeling and ppl call that fair... lmao
with that kind of gear a bm can kill a barb fast, imagine doing that on a disabled magic class...0 -

Um..you really messed up on the numbers there..
First of all the reduction doesn't work like that
Second of all a well geared AA will have much more phys def
Also, Barbs already do hit 1k on people lol..Clerics can already hit 15k on barbs..0
